One question and request I get from all of my salsa and bachata dancing ladies is to advise them on what way to wear their hair on the dance floor. Choosing the perfect hairstyle that is practical but looks stylish on the dance floor can be tricky, but I have put together three of my favourite go-to looks when I am going out dancing. It depends how long your hair is, sometimes you just really want to let it loose, but most of the time i much more comfortable with it being up 😉

Actually its' quite an important subject. :) As a lead I do appreciate when ladies tie their hairs (if you have long hairs). What happens If you are a similar height as the the guy, your hair are going to slingshot into his face during double spins. lol It's a bit of an annoyance for the guy.

I am loving your videos Rasa, thank you! How do you deal with the hair-combing moves in bachata? I feel like I cannot use buns because they always get knocked out during the dance night. I will try the plaits but they are sooo tiring for the arms to do 😬
Well the hair combing move is not suppose to actually comb your hair 😅its a pretend and guys need to learn how to stop touching womans hair😅 also one way to do it is learn styling with your neck to slightly put chin down before the comb happens 😉

Very rarely, my hair is too long. Gets trapped everywhere, I get too hot , very messy.
Your first style (a part in the hair above the eyebrow with the hair pulled back to the nape of the neck) seems to be the most popular style used in Latin dancing. That and the same part in the hair with a bun. Is it because it reduces how much your hair can whip around and hit your partner?
