    Sounds like you should have got a Kia Soul. It's a sports bike not a luxury vehicle. Love your bike bro👍

    That R1 looks so good. I want to get another R1. Kawasaki totally redesigned the ZX9R in 1998. I took a ride with a friend that had a 1998 R1. We switched bikes and the R1 was so smooth it felt electric. Strong low end pulling progressively through the entire rev range. Amazing cornering. The next year I bought the 99. It was a power wheelie monster. My second R1 was the 07. Crazy top end and great cornering. Now I want to try a cross-plain. I have never ridden one.

    hey there idk if you remember me but I commented in one of your videos a while back. I finally got my bike ecu tuned by moore mafia and its been running great. The sluggish feeling on low rpm is gone and it's a totally new beast. My neighbors hate me tho bc of our exhaust lol. The exhaust pops and bangs like crazy and it's so niice. The nrc fender elim gave me a problem with a cop. Said that my plate is unreadable and had to bent it on the spot, no tickets were given tho. On a side note, since this is my first bike with quick shifter, are you getting false neutral by any chance?

    • @MotoMaximus
      @MotoMaximus  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good to hear you got yours tuned, I am yet to do mine, will probably do it end of season. The plate thing is understandable, I bent mine a tad bit, and never had any issues with the law... hope it stays that way haha. Have not noticed any issues with the quickshifter, but I never use it when going out of first, so maybe why. I can keep an eye on that.

      @@MotoMaximus Had to do the ecu right away cuz the bike was running so lean that I am having stalling issues. Stop and go was a disaster for me bc if I don't rev up the bike a few times it stalls but it has been fixed so im happy with it. Maybe I am just not shifting hard enough but it happened quite a few times. Anyways ride safe brother! looking forward to more of your r1 videos.

    Would you recommend this bike for someone who is 5’7 🫨🫢 most likely will ride it for 40 minutes M-F 20

      It will be a good fit for your frame. It’s totally fine as a commuter and will be most comfortable on the track. I find the Yamahas to be most predictable, most responsive and best sounding that’s out there.
      Note that if the stiffness of the clutch lever bothers you in stop and go traffic, swap it out for an RSC and you will be good to go.

    • @aguachapan

      @@MotoMaximus thanks for your quick response, I’ve always been between the R1 and the S1000rr but I’ve heard how unreliable the s1K could be, and don’t want to deal with that 😔

    • @MotoMaximus
      @MotoMaximus  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @aguachapan it’s a tough choice between the two - check my other video which compares them side by side. Had a chance to ride the RR today and it’s definitely more refined and smooth - however if I had to choose a track bike, it would be the R1 without a doubt. R1 feels more predictable.
      For commuting, the BMW will have to win. Have not had an issue with either, but I can imagine that for any type of work on the BMW you will be forking out some $$.

    I love the side exhaust but also hate the headlights I love my 03

    • @MotoMaximus
      @MotoMaximus  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My favo headlights were from 04-08, I was just indifferent to bug look of the 09-14, and was not a big fan of the 15 and newer gen. It grew on me over time. I guess the handling and electronics were the outweighing factor, because I was quite fine with my 2012

    I hate the under tail exhaust. I have an 04 and it heats my ass up too much.

    I'm only 5'7 but I really want to buy R1 or R6. I'm a Yamaha fan when it comes to big bikes. I still can't decide whether I want a R1 (2012 - 2014) or R6 (2008 - 2009). Still making choices between crossplane and flatplane crankshafts. I don't intend to drive it around race tracks. Just want to have a fun and good sounding weekend bike.

    • @MotoMaximus
      @MotoMaximus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      R1 more power, undertail exhaust, awesome sound, dual synced headlights, 3-power modes to chose from and more expensive insurance.
      R6 better suited for beginners, side exhaust, higher pitched sound, more forgiving, cheaper insurance.
      It’s a win regardless what you get. After owning 2 R6 (04 and 07) and 3 R1s (04, 12, 21) I would chose the R1.

      @Rider0107 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MotoMaximus I watched the older videos that you posted about the R1 (2004) and R1 (2012). When I watched your review about this R1 (2021), the sound is way more aggressive than the R1 (2012) despite both have crossplane cranks. I don't know if it is just because of the midpipe length or the camera sound quality but it really sound different. I really would like to hear your R1 (2021) compared to R1 (2012) especially the sound on the same camera.

    • @MotoMaximus
      @MotoMaximus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Rider0107 they sound practically the same, the main difference is that the 12 still has the cat and on the 21 I eliminated it. Also the sound on the 12 gets deflected to the rear and on the 21 it’s to one side. I preferred the set up on the 12. Yes, the 21 is definitely a bit louder because of the set up.
