Wierd music and after turning the SNES off and on, every savefile was gone. I recorded up to this point and never made another LP video. Only god knows, what would happen, if I do another recording.

I guess the "dying on title screen" would be a cool feature as long as the title screen sequence was very long, so that mario dies in the end. Then the player would be able to play the title screen just for fun. It would be like a little "bonus" for the long time watching mario :>
Many of these do break the game though. Also this is just some piece of advice, you're not forced to follow it, but I don't think most players would enjoy seeing a title screen full of garbage anyway.
For the tiles in the middle one, you can add some subtext to it, so then it has a cool disappearing thing that happens when you open it and looks more professional.
Don't forget shooting a breeze with the mail man, falling asleep, loosing your pants, cleaning your kitchen, pacing, feeding your snail, and setting your house on fire. You do not want to see any of that, trust me.

Unchanged title screen will not get your hack rejected but it's generally frowned upon as it shows the author didn't bother making a new one. If you're not good at making title screens, a simplistic one showcasing a random level from the hack is still better than an unchanged one. But yeah, level design is more important.

I don't really see an issue with an unchanged title screen. Nowadays, not many people use ZSNES, so they can't record their own moves. What would not be nice is if somebody just boxed Mario in a 1 tile space and you could still see him attempt the moves. I know a lot of mods that have caught that and have suggested leaving in the original title screen just to avoid awkwardness.
While in the Overworld Editor,click on "File",then click on "Title Screen",click on "Load Title Screen",then start editing,and to save click on "File",then "Title Screen",then "Save Title Screen".
