I worked at TRW pistons in Cleveland for over 20 year, the one time industry leader. You should've seen the machines we used BEFORE the CNC stuff came along !!!

Every CP piston I have installed has had shap edges usualy around the valve reliefs. Why dont they get rid of these sharp edges on the tops of the pistons so I dont have to?

@jahabean i have them in my car as of right now. i have about 5k miles on them and they have been great. i know cp pistons are true to size meaning each piston is the exact size down to the thousandths of an inch

Nascar parts only last one race...maybe. I know a guy who makes parts for nascar, he owns all the machines. (he loves drag racing lol) I asked him about those parts, he said the only good thing is their accuracy. What I'm saying is Nascar parts aren't that good, they're designed to function for the race, once, they have high power setups with crazy weight reduction and are tuned to the brink of destruction.

@freakin1random Although they're probably still better than 90% of production parts.

CP Mongoloido postono! These pistons couldnt even handle 1000hp at 5 bar of turbo boost.

Unsharping the edges need manual working and this cost $...by Mahle pistons for ex. the finish is same with sharp edges...
