Hey man, nice to see small bikes on big trips. I don't recommended riding on the emergency lane in the North-South Highway as there are lots of debris that could potentially puncture your tires. Ride safe mate.
Wow that's very brave; a solo trip! I passed 2B in Jan 2023, but have yet to step out of Singapore with my CB190X lol. That motor not the most reliable thing, so I hope to wait to pass 2A and get a bigger bike, so I will finally head up north!
Congrats on passing your exam! 🎉 Never got a chance to try that bike out but my friend was riding it in Bali and it looked pretty sturdy haha! Maybe you can try shorter trips to JB, and then Malacca, and then KL! Plus there are tons of servicing shops along the way so it shouldn't be an issue 🙂

You can tour with any bike ! I rode to Penang on a FZ16 and back.
Hey bro, great inspiration! Im thinking of riding up north solo too! Been to JB once but never since then cause I kena the same as u at the SG immigration! So shameful!! I ended up not going into JB because of that hahaha. But after watching ur video and finding out im not the only one who got a nasty experience at immigration, I guess, i just have to bite the bullet and get through the sour to taste the sweet! Thank you for rekindling my small dream!!
@edwardthy when I went in I didn't know if I was to scan my thumb or my index fingers...no indication so I just scanned index finger! Had to push my bike all the way. And then when I returned to sg customs, the computer literally did a windows update.... had to push my bike again. And some loser actually rode beside me and laughed at my face while I was trying to push my bike
Haha don't worry about it! On a recent trip, my friends and I had to walk through the motorcycle lane because we messed up and tried to U-turn back in from the Malaysia side, we were like three jokers standing with our helmets queuing with the other bikes and when the officer saw us he was like, bike where? Its stressful in the moment but in hindsight it's all great stories to share with others 😂
Hi bro........there's always a special access on the most left lane for bikes at every toll booth. Bikes are usually FOC. I'm not sure though if you're riding a Singapore registered bikes......
Hey bro im going to ride to malacca on a solo trip on my fz16! What was ur average cruising speed and how long did u take? Nice edit btw, looks really chill and beautiful on the NSHW :)
Thanks man! I think it was around 110kmh on average and I took ~9.5hrs with a lunch stop and lots of petrol stops! Hope you have lots of fun and stay safe!
@@VroomVroomzzz Hi bro, this is my humble advice and from my experience. 1.Dont care about fast speed, ride at a reasonable speed.Dont drag your rpms that might damage your engine later on. 2.Wear proper riding attire. 3.Standby tyre punture kit. 4.Buy travel insurance. 5.Do not rush. 6.Standby for any long stops if there is eg;Super heavy rain. 7.Make sure you have plenty of rest before the trip. 8.As long as you are travelling below 120km/hr,dont be a hero, just ride at the road shoulder.Be careful though for there are some hazards at some road shoulders. 9.Plan plan plan, prepare prepare prepare. 10.YOUR ROAD AWARENESS LEVEL MUST BE 200%.Though NSH may look calm at times,u must be alert of road hazards such as lorry tyre on the road, trailers and lorries speeding more than 120km/hr etc. Last but not least, why go malacca b
Of course! I've seen videos of people cycling to KL as well 😂 but just stay on the shoulder, go at your own pace, and look out for debris or stopped cars! Oh and also keep track of your petrol haha the xsr is not as bad as the duke but I almost got an empty tank once on a gas guzzling rc390 😭
