- Testing out the Vbar Control radio and NEO. The 380 was setup with the 450 Size mode in the Vbar Control wizard inside the radio. Nothing has been tuned or tweaked.

Great flying, Chris! I set mine up as 'other 500' and had to tweak the tail a bit (gain too high). Maybe I'll go back and set it up with the 450 as the basis, it looks just about perfect in your video. :)

I've had just about every SAB mode to date and doubles of some. The 380 is by far my favorite!

Hi Chris, i wanted to ask you what are the things that you really like about this V-control when you compare it to your futaba 14sg..? Also, with that being said, what is the dislikes of the Futaba when comparing to the V-control.. Im asking because i was thinking of changing over myself, but im on the edge still.. i own an 18mz but it seems to be acting up kinda wierd some times so im starting to not trust them.. any help would be great thanks Chris
The Futaba is a great radio system. After flying it for 28 years I would still recommend Futaba to anyone. The reason I went full V-control is because you can setup and tune everything from the radio with out ever having to plug the system into a laptop. I literally flew today, landed, change a few settings on the fly and put it right back into the sky seconds later!
i cant get my helis to fly like i want them to fly (wobbling, very bad and weird tail authority, sometimes rpm drops (with a pyro 850 competition and yge 160hv?!) im just not happy), i see every heli on youtube without any problems flying vbar, maybe im just too dumb for setup... do you think resetting the the vbar to original settings and set it from start up again can help?
I set my helis up using the appropriate size Heli in the setup wizard and the only thing I ever need to change it tail gains during the initial maiden.

chris, where would you mount the satellite rx? im temped to just buy a neo with vcontrol in it. I want my 380 with the least amount of gear on it lol. any range issues running just the neo without satellite rx? also you used "other 450" as your setup profile correct?
TCazes Buy the NEO Vlink it's much cleaner. Nope I've had the NEO Vlink on at least 10-15 helis now. Yes always round up to the next size "other" model when in the wizard.

Chris Reibert I installed the v link neo. Love it. Now, are you using the castle gov or the neo gov?
TCazes Sweet!!! Castle Gov. The NEO Vgov is awesome to. You can adjust head speeds on the fly!
so do i have to use the v-bar radio with mikado FBL units?
No you can still use the Mikado mini Vbar and full size vbars with Futaba and Spektrum. The new V control allows you to use all of them including the new NEO and do programming via the radio only. No need for a laptop!
