    I personally struggle to justify buying this reel when the TwinPower can deliver similar performance for a cheaper price

      Thank you for your comment, I understand your feeling.
      They are quite similar though they have differences, Twinpower is a bit less bearings, the body cover is Ci4+ instead of STELLA's metal, and one more thing the quality of each parts and clearance adjustment could be, possibly, very slightly, lower than STELLA to reduce the cost, which actually makes STELLA as very special flag-ship. Obviously, TwinPower is one level downgraded spinning reel of STELLA.
      This is really your choice, I am pretty sure you can do everything with 24TP what you can do with STELLA.
      They are absolutely different, but very close :)

      @@yukikimura9501 The Stella is indeed a nice reel with all you mentioned and since the price is attractive now due to the conversion rate. Its very tempting to be honest..so I dont know
      I also have the Vanquish and the Airity and both of those are solid reels as well

    Hello great content, had a question on how high foot rod can you use for Shimano Stella C5000XG?
    7ft to 10ft be ok?
    And what would be your preference...
    Thank you

      @jpfishingtacklenews195  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! It really depends on what rod especially how weigh rods are but around 10ft still ok for the size, the rod I used in this movie is Nessa XR 11'2".
      This rod is incredibly great, the weight is only 180g with jig max 56g, great match up with STELLA C5000XG.

    One very big problem with the stella reels, and other shimano reels is they don't hold anywhere near as much line as they claim, for instance the C5000FG FK claims to have a capacity of 175m of .35mm line, it's actual capacity is only 180m of .23mm line.
    So if you are buying one and line capasity is important then you need to buy the next size up in reel, or even two sizes to get the line capasity that you want or need.
    Not a problem with light line but very important of you need to spool with thicker more abrasion resistant line.

      Thank you for your comment :)
      It is interesting as the lines I spooled in the past did not happen that. I only experienced your situation when I spooled really cheap one, not from Japanese major brands, as the line was much thicker than others against its display.
      At least, SHIMANO Grappler 8, Ocea 8, YGK-XBraid, DAIWA Dura Sensor, VARIVAS AVANI series, Sunline Sigron, Gosen Answer / Roots, those are fit perfectly as of the catalogue spec.

    I have both and the 2018 and 2022 models, 5k and 4k respectively. The 2018 is smoother to me but I like the 2022 appearance and slow oscillation spool.

      Hi, thank you very much for letting us know your feeling! I see and assuming it could be because 2022 has extra gear and functions to achieve Infinity Loop gimmick, therefore you might feel 18 is smoother. I can still feel '18 is slightly lighter than 22 :)

    I bought the 2500 and 3000 models.. and quickly got rid of both because they knotted the braided line. It is a reel for simple winding only. New Exist 22 and Certate 24 never did anything like that. Neither does Stella 2018 (btw TOP reel). I'm sorry, but the Infinity loop is not progress, it's a step back.

      Hi, as of my reply to you in the other movies, I do understand your feeling too. With this PE#2 or heavier lines, I haven't had any issues so far from 2 years of use, but especially lines of PE#1.2 or lighter, and if the line is soft, I found that can be troublesome with Infinity Loop, and that's not happened with cross-wrapping such as 22 Exist, 23 Airity, 24 Certate or even 18 STELLA, and 19 Vanquish as you mentioned.
      So really depends on how you use, with what line, how you cast, the balance with your rod etc etc. and if you found that is troublesome to you, of course this reel is not a good one for you.

    Needs rear drag and quick fire

    • @jpfishingtacklenews195
      @jpfishingtacklenews195  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think this is not there because those are not really used for lure fishing often or not really common, at least in Japan?
      I'd be a bit interested for rear drag personally though :)
