This is the kind of video that keeps me coming back to SRKCycles & Bikes and Beards vids. The video essentially stopped because Sean saw a man possibly struggling emotionally and that’s all it took for him to ignore the good time he was having to feel for and pray for a stranger. You’re my favorite type of people. Your true colors shined through and it was genuine and touching. With empathy seeming to be in short supply now a days this was nice to see.
Good man stops what he's doing to say a prayer for a stranger in need, says a lot about you. Love your vlogs, keep it up and God bless.

I was a Purchasing Engineer with H-D on the Vrod team. Own a 2005 VRCSE CVO model. Can’t keep tires on it! Also glad to see it’s blood line continue on the Sportster S! You mentioned that in this video before that was released. Nailed it! Knew H-D wouldn’t walk away from the Revolution engine. Just repackaged a few new an innovative ways!
Been riding Vrods nearly 20 years. I didn’t really care for it when it first came out, I didn’t know really anything about it. But my first Harley was an 04 VRSCB, Black and Harley racing orange. I got it that spring of 05 after returning home from my first deployment. Since then I’ve had 5 more. Two DX, two F, and my newest to me is Eleanor. A 2008 VRSCD dressed in classic black and chrome. Anyone that knows anything about these bikes knows that they are the unicorn of the Vrods. They got the wide frame upgrade with the larger 5 gallon tank and the 1250 motor instead of the 1130. They also came with the lightest factory Vrod wheels. The Nightrod has the taller shocks for more clearance and a better lean angle and keeps the lighter more nimble 180 rear tire compared to the thick 240. What really sets it apart from the majority of the Vrod family is the mod controls with the factory highway pegs. I know it probably would have limited the aftermarket exhaust selection, but this should have been standard on all the Vrods besides just the R and D. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for doing your part and helping Willy and the team build the best Harley ever. I wish Harley stayed with it longer and actually educated their employees better about it. I need 3 off every Vrod. One to ride, one for spare parts, and another to park in the living room just to look at.
Hey man - I'm not religious and I always skip the bible verses in your videos, but I really did appreciate your words for the older fellow in the cemetery. Every time I see someone in a cemetery my heart goes out to them, and an older man crying with his son, that's sad. Religion doesn't automatically make you a good person, just like riding a motorcycle doesn't make you a bad person - but you are one of the good ones. Thank you for that.

You skip them, they're literally like 3 seconds long man and religion is man made by the way so I'm NOT religious either yet I believe in CHRIST OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN which whom is very real my friend and seek him with all your heart and you shall find him. There's a HUGE difference in GOD which is real and then all these made up man made religions etc so don't be deceived and don't let man throw you off and away from the 1 and ONLY true GOD of the HOLY BIBLE which your very life and soul and ever around you from even the air you breathe is proof of his divine existence my friend,I've faith in you buddy!

I had my 2012 Vrod for 6 years and only had one problem with a radiator leak. Rode it from KC to San Diego. I had a lot of gas stops but she was so much fun thru New Mexico to California.
Saved and paid cash for a used VRSCA anniversary. I have and had a few bikes over the years. It’s the only one that makes me feel like it should come with a black cape.
I’m shopping for a V-Rod either the muscle or Street Rod. I agree, the best thing ever built by Harley

Just bought a 2011 VRod Muscle with a Trask Turbo kit. Flew into Florida, rode to Key West, riding to the tail of the dragon, and then back home in Louisville ky! I love this bike!!!!

I’m dyna trash through and through. In my garage I have a low rider, fat boy, custom chopper, FXR, and a iron head sportster. That being said, once I could appreciate a v rod for what it was I have grown to realize that it is a bad ass bike. My buddy blowing by me on his stick v rod really opened my eyes

They should have used it in a frame like the FTR Indian made. The engine was originally designed to be used in a sportbike chassis from Erik Buell but harley scrapped the project added 50lbs of mass to the engine making it obsolete for sport bike use. th-cam.com/video/0QKBSUOI7EQ/w-d-xo.html

I think Harley getting rid of the Vrod was a big mistake. They may not sell well, but it was their only stand out bike. Something different. If I had the money, id own one for sure. It's probably my favorite HD to date. Until they bring it back, I wouldn't mind seeing them beef up their Sportster line. Another iconic line of bikes that can be a force to be reckoned with, given the right power plant.
Hopefully HD throws their hat back into the ring of performance cruisers soon.

Ted Pendagast I don't get that comparison. The Vrod and the Breakout have less than nothing in common. The Breakout is just a platform shared Softail. The VRod was a stand alone model...which I am sure was a major part in the decision to dump the model. HD has and always will be a big-time platform sharing manufacturer...more "models" with less tooling equals more money. The new liquid cooled bikes look to be a combo of both worlds though. I can see the Breakout buyers being the same customers that would have considered buying a VRod though.

Your a good guy Sean, listen pinstripes wipe off with a single swipe. Just buy a can of oven cleaner and spray some on a damp sponge. It comes off with no damage to the paint underneath. I pinstriped and lettered for years, when someone’s check bounced and they didn’t make it right within a week or so, I would just wait till nighttime and I could wipe the lettering and pinstripes off of a pickup in less than 5 minutes.
Give it a try, it’s a trade secret in the biz!!

It’s amazing how cheap these bikes are on the used market now. I don’t know why anyone would ever even consider buying a sportster when you could have an animal of a Vrod for the same money

Harley owners never accepted the V-Rod as being a Harley. That includes the majority of the dealers. You can't sell a product when you talk shit on it.
It would be pretty awesome if you guys kept the VROD and made it fully custom as your stores “mascot” bike. Maybe do a video series of the modifications. Everyone modifies sport bikes but I hardly see anyone customize a cruiser.
Harley's focus is the authenticity that comes from nostalgia.

Might possibly get an 03 100th anniversary Vrdo for my first bike. I'm incredibly excited about it!! I ride dirt bikes and atvs but this will be my first street legal bike and the look to it still looks so modern. I've driven it before, SUPER smooth and for so much power, it doesn't feel so intimidating like a sports bike but overall, cannot wait to start riding this summer!!

Anyway- agree 100% with you. I decided to get a new 2016 V-rod muscle when I heard it was getting discontinued, wanted to grab one before it gets hard to find. What an awesome bike, really easy and comfortable to cruise with but has the hp, torque and plenty of speed when you need it on major highways. Love it.
4:20 (nice time-code ;) ) : They tried that whole "Sportster that is actually sporty"-approach with the XR 1200. Didn't work out too well, I guess. Even though I would've bought that thing in a heartbeat. I probably still would, since I still find the styling and the idea of a Sportster that actually goes, handles and stops (more) like a modern bike pretty appealing.

I came for the Word, stayed for the ride. The vrod is the only HD I ever considered buying. I didn’t care for the forward controls and at just 60mph the wind wants to push you off the bike, but other than that it’s a really cool muscle bike.
It’s funny you mentioned you want the sportster series to get muscley. The new Sportster S has the 1250 revolution max engine which is basically a newer generation version of the engine that was in the Vrod which is really cool in my opinion lol.
Dude, those streets are like heaven, you cant imagine the streets in my country (paraguay) my father has a vrod 2007 i think or meybe 2006 but you cant drive it a lot because of the streets

i agree with sportsters should be hot rodded from the factory more than they are. i would like to see a factory tracker/brat style sportster with some legitimate handling and suspension...

It truly is the redheaded step child of the family, but I wouldn't trade my V-Rod for anything.
Also, knees tighter on the tank and you can really lean down low on those turns

Shawn, I've looked at this video a few times and I see the man, although there was no one standing near him or behind him. Just curious, please look at the video and show me where the second person was if you may.
It's my favourite HARLEY TOO and it's also the safest one ever built as it has 2 brake discs on the front wheel and has the clocks and guages mounted on the bars and not on the unsafest place the fuel tank that way your not taking your eyes off the road every time you need to look at the clocks and guages
I too like the VRods there is something goofy in this video either the camera Angle or the fake tank / pinstripes that make it look like you always have the bars turned right ? It could very well be a Optical Illusion ? I dont know but it kind of made me think the Triple Tree was bent i imagine they really aren’t or you wouldn’t have it in the showroom and be out joyriding on it

You can take pin striped off with oven cleaner. Put it on for seven minutes. Wipe it off. Clean tank. Do it again. Seven minutes. Might take three or four times. Won’t hurt stock paint.
There is videos on you tube how to do it. I did it on my bike and it works great.
I put my air cleaner in the oven for 7 minutes and now it's melting through the grates. Thanks for your advice.

My uncle had one. I really was into the vrod hype. I really still believe they deserve major points for thinking that far outside the box. That being said when I finally got on one it didn't fit me and felt awkward when I rode it. The upside is obviously the straight power and I actually think the unique styling is nice. The way it handles just isn't for me though. I'll leave them for someone else who might actually enjoy them.

That was a beautiful prayer, Sean. God bless you man. This is the ONLY Harley I would ever get. It's the best bike they ever made, largely because Porche helped create and build it, hence why it rarely had issues, and why Harley got rid of it; their ego got in the way. HD is crap otherwise. It's just a name and brand, but they make crap products.
I think that the tank on the v rod is goofy looking, and I didn't know it was just for asthetics. The off centered pinstriping makes it three strikes. Great performing bike tho. They definitely should have kept that bike going, a muscle bike in the line is always a good thing.

The only problem that the V rod had was that to many old fart Harley riders like my self thought that if a bike isn't over 1500 cc and as big as a truck then it under powered and Harley Davidson has forgotten their racing roots , I liked the looks of the V rod .
