Years ago I purchased a pair of large Hella driving lights from a seller in Latvia (at about half local price in Oz) and the air freight was a paltry A$20. I was suspicious but decided to rely on eBay if anything went awry.
I've spent most of my life in sales & marketing but can't explain some of the schisms we see in modern supply chains. Latvia has a population of about 1.9 million people - not much more than Auckland.

There is a reason for it. International postage rates are set by something called the UPU, Universal Postal Union, which is a UN run thing. It sets the rates countries have to charge for shipping. 'Poorer' countries get to have lower rates I believe which is why getting things sent from America is so expensive but things from China are so cheap.

@@asciimation Well, there ya go - thanks.
I did wonder what deal must be in place to get something costing $0.98 in China to Australia for free.

Dont beat your self up to much over using Tig , any fabricator making a new body would be doing the same. It's just a means to get the end result.
When I rewired my car ( an MG TC did exactly the same as you printed of in A3 only mine was in couloir, It helped a lot. But sill cant get the indicator unit to flash.

I guess at least I tried! But that oxy welding flux is really horrible stuff so not unhappy I can avoid that now. Are you using LED bulbs? I know sometimes old school mechanical flashers have issue with them as they don't draw enough current. Have you tried an electronic flasher?

@@asciimationThat's interesting I wasn't aware of that I'll have a look,. They come on just dont flash but as they are a new addition that may be the problem, Wiring is not my strong point. Thanks for that Simon. Just one more thing Regarding your English Wheel, when you stiffen the top will you need to do the same to the bottom other wise you won't get any advantage. Possibly a triangular web in the bottom corner would help.
.Saw one guy who set his in a block of concrete and braced the top to the steel frame of the building. Said it made a massive difference,
      Thanks again for the advise.
