    Thank you so much ! I noticed that the solicitation was over 50 pages. Are you sending them the entire 50 pages back when you bid for the contract -- or just the SF 1449 and the pricing page?

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't mail them the entire solicitation BUT there MAY be additional pages from the solicitation that you need to submit beyond the SF 1449 and Pricing Page, For example, sometimes there will be pages of reps and certs that they want you to fill out and submit with your offer. Therefore, please read the solicitation carefully, it will tell you what to include with your bid.

  • @berwinmiller3823

    Your videos are simply extraordinary!! Period. If you could provide a pricing strategy or formula for products NOT services that would include packaging and marking that would be a great video I am sure your community would appreciate. Please continue to provide quality videos and straight forward explanations.

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would start by looking at the prices the government is currently paying. There are lots of sources for pricing information. You can look up the awarded amount for contracts in FPDS. Also, did you know that GSA Schedule Price Lists are posted online? You can look up other company's Price Lists and see their prices. Bear in mind that companies often offer a discount off of the posted price.

    • @berwinmiller3823
      @berwinmiller3823 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FedAccess I have been attempting to analyze as diligently as possible through all of the aforementioned sites. My main hurdle is the markup, FOB Destination pricing, and the packaging/marking that is required by the DLA. I suppose what I am asking is: (1) what's a reasonable ballpark markup and is it reasonable to markup shipping as well to give a just-in-case cushion? (2) how do you ask the manufacturer for a Line item per item transport rate or is this asking the same question twice and is this figured into the price/item?; Thanks again for all your help. I really do appreciate it.

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your price should be somewhere between your cost and what you're competitors are charging. You can look up the GSA Price Lists to see what they are charging. Another approach: go ahead and submit a bid. When the contract is awarded, the government will tell you the awarded amount. From there you'll know what your competitors are charging.

  • @ruuuudyyy_

    Great video! I have a few quick questions. The Solicitation that I’m interested in doesn’t have a SF 1449 and in the instructions to offerors sections it requires a cover page, completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3, discount terms, any amendments signed, and the quote itself including technical acceptability and price. Where do I find the FAR revision to complete? In the solicitation document itself?

      You can always google any FAR clause and it will come right up. just type 52.212-3 into the search bar. However, since there can be different versions of FAR clauses, i would first look for the FAR clause in the solicitation itself. FYI, 52.212-3 is the clause Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items.

      That is fabulous! Congratulations! I'm working on a video right now that contains important information for you on the debrief process, so check it out when I post it in the next few days. I don't work with individuals because I am focused on helping as many people as possible through my videos, but continue to post your questions and video suggestions!

    Thanks a lot for this video very helpful. I have a quick question for you. What does it mean if a contract says "notice of intent to award a sole source contract. Not a request for competitive proposals. Thanks for your time and help.

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It means they are just giving the contract to a company. They are not going out for competitive bids. Someone did a good job marketing to the government!

      You'll describe your team, the experience of your team members, and whatever other info they ask for. Have you watched my video on Subcontracting?
