This is literally the gen z version of ‘Searching’ the movie. Whole movie goes through the screen. Missing case, lawyer involved. And the Easter egg at the beginning. Great one. Highly recommended! 👍
This is actually the official sequel to Searching, just new cast and different plot
@@user-os1jn9ws7i No offense. But this one is way ahead of that version. This portrays that not every time parent comes to the rescue of their child. The child also has an equal responsibility to protect their Parents/ Guardians when they need it.
Searching was only in 2018 which doesn’t feel that long ago to me. It’s crazy that that time is the dividing line between generations.

Javier was more of a father to June than her biological father. It just hurts when you rewatch the beginning of the movie upon knowing what really happened.

Being able to operate a computer is a most in this age cause if not for that she would have been able to make out of all the event

Believe it or not people have done it. There’s a sadly infamous case about sick guy that murdered cats. And this group of cat people found him and put a stop to it.
There are also cases that have been solved years later like the infamous Dr that for scot free decades but is no behind bars. All thanks to the internet
theres also a case i briefly heard about(so im not sure how factual it is, so please forgive me if the information is wrong) but apparently a video of a person/group of people abusing a turtle was going viral on 4chan, it leaked to tumblr, and users from both platforms used google maps, to find the location of where the abuse took place via the video, the police got involved and the abuser/s got caught
There’s plenty of real life criminal cases solved like this.

Fun Fact: Because of the scene at 1:19, we can tell that this movie takes place in the same universe as the 2018 movie 'Searching', which follows the same computer-screen format.

@@QuesQuestion As if you had never heard of it before... Wes Craven's movies Scream have been doing that since 1996. In this movie it's just a way to show how both stories follows the same universe and, for that specific story, they made an anthology series similar to Black Mirror where each episode solves a case, and the real life movie "Searching" in this universe was portrayed as "Unfiction".
@@victorrocha5755 It was confusing as at the end of this movie it’s shown that it was made apart of the Unfiction series. The news article at the start shows that Searching is a fictional story. Which made me confused if searching is fictional or real.
@@QuesQuestion Not that it was fictional, but what was really put out for the TV Series and what was created for the show. For example, Titanic is a real life story but the Titanic movie created characters such as Jack just to play the story and shows the horror and drama for that accident.

When people say Gen Z and Alpha are stupid i point to movies like this because this blew older generations minds. My mom was like wow i could never do all of that and i was like...this is basic. I'm 25 and there will be kids after me that are even more savvy. It makes me so happy

Fascinating that article showed about the the fictional movie "Unfiction", the cast mention are based on the cast in the "Searching" but they change their names a little bit.

I saw in cinemas and what impressed was nothing was filmed using a camera it was either through her phone or laptop facetime thing and when they got stuck it was through the cameras and her laptop again. I saw it and the cinemas were full it was an amazing movie with so many so it’s worth the watch 😗

I didn’t think it would top the first movie, but I think it did by a slight margin. Both terrific movies though.
I didn’t like this movie because of the ending. It was pretty confusing but I liked how the girl was able to find out so much information from just using her computer and her making a relationship with the guy to help find her mom

@@feyo.7220 It's stated in the movie that Kevin planned all of that to help James, June's Father. But for what reason would Kevin do all of that just to help him? Idk, it kinda didn't explain the overall relationship between them. It didn't make too much sense why would Kevin do so much just to help James to kidnap June's Mom... He installed the program in June's Computer so his father could watch her, he hired an actress to fake her mother's identity, he hired a bunch of teens in another country to fake a kidnapping and so on so forth just to help James kidnap June's Mother and James wasn't even going to kill her but only decided to later in the movie because June was getting close to find out his identity.

The plot twist is insaneeeee! Like i really expected that Kevin is the suspect for kidnapping her mom and that lawyer heather is his accomplice but it’s actually the least person we expect … and please give Javier five star rate and a HUGE REWARD for doing a great job!!! 👍

Majority of the today's kids are just like this kid. No respect and love for parents and want to spend time ONLY online with unnecessary people. BTW this was way below the 1st part. Searching was heart breaking 💔.
I love this movie, in short technology has gone too far. Today many thing can be done and tracking someone is like a piece of cake.
