this is another video that I made about Night Fision Night Sights. I'm comparing the two colors that I have currently which are orange and red. make sure if you buy them you choose the color wisely I'm try to find the one that best suits your eyes.
This was a tough vide to shoot because of the lighting but hopefully this helps.

Yellow/Green Show up better in the dark. Red tends to darken up to the human eye.
Fire Departments across the country are changing from traditional Red Fire trucks to Yellow/Green because they are more visible at night.

I don't know where you live but where I live the fire Department went back to red !!!!! And for my old eyes my eyes pick up bright red batter it's just a matter of preference!!!!!!!
Thanks - I was looking at getting night sights for the CZ P10 C and your comments help me greatly. It makes sense since red is a shorter wave length and travels less in the dark. Thanks for the sage advise.
Yep, but every law enforcement department loves black patrol cars. Then say they value the safety of officers. Lets put our officers in black uniforms in black patrol cars at night. Good choice.

Good explanation. Most content creators would not go into the detail, to inform viewers about “camera saturation”. I’ve been burned (recently) on a purchase, with this same “camera saturation” issue. 👍

I manage a firearms shop in Michigan, and we have a good relationship with Night Fision (as they are local to us). I can say that they truly do stand behind their products and their customer service is top notch. I agree here, that the green is better than the orange.

I just ordered a set of XS Big Dots for my new Gen 5 G26...they're my first set of Night Sights...I had trouble deciding with all the great options available. Thanks for sharing this video.

Great review! I was thinking the orange on the Night Fision looked a little lackluster, and you confirmed that. The red looks better.
I was so torn on the idot pro vs the Hackathorns. My Dan Wesson Specialist has the Heinie straight 8 style sights and I love them. But I was really having a hard time with the yellow vs orange. Those yellow Ameriglo fronts blow all the others away for brightness! Thanks for taking the time to show us the sea of differences with sights. I subbed:)
Great presentation of the variety of sights you own, and it's nice to see them compared side by side. I have been a loyal Ameriglo customer and have them on most of my glocks and two of my S&Ws. I purchased a Night Fision front sight recently for my canik elite. I chose the yellow since the yellow Ameriglo pro idot sights have been my favorites for a few years and chose to stick with the stock Warren tactical rear sight. Not a bad combo for that particular gun. I like them just fine, but am still biased toward the Ameriglo's.
I agree totally. If Ameriglo made night sights for the Canik they would sell like crazy. I love the I-dot pros myself. I would have the yellow front on all my guns if Ameriglo made them.
That is a very nice display of night sights, I really like those Ameriglo yellow and the Night Fision Red sights. You have an outstanding selection of NS brother, and your video presentation seems more "professional". Getting older I was like you and preferred the orange. Now yellow is the only way. I just see it better.
Tritium is a great tool for low light shooting. I know some guys that used to duct tape glowsticks over top of their ACOGs to brighten up their sights as well. The red works pretty good but I prefer the green
taping acogs fiber optics does the opposite of brightening them up. They were often too bright in broad daylight.

I used to have an attraction to the orange colored sights. But these days I prefer the hi-viz type yellow or greenish yellow front sight. With my personal preference having the blacked out tritium rear sights. Day, low light or even night the fluorescent yellow just seems to be something the eye picks up on a bit faster. Even the construction trades have switched to a high visibility yellow for those exact same reasons. Right now I'm getting ready to pick up the Night Fision yellow front and U-Notch blacked out rear tritium sights for my Glock 19 & 26.

damn wish i watched this video yesterday. went with exact setup you were showing and i was on the fence with orange or red. picked orange due to it not being so “extreme” but more subdued color and now seeing red….. should’ve gotten the red. i know i’ll still be pleased though. living in washington state, i decided against green due to all of my backdrop i’d be looking mostly at is green. can’t wait for them to arrive👍
♿♿Great info! I've been wanting to change the front sight on my CZ SP-01 tactical. I was thinking about the xs big dot but I'd have to change both front and back. But seeing the difference in your video I'm thinking it is probably worth the extra cost. I hope you have a very merry Christmas!♿♿
I have the NightFision in Orange on my G45, they are nice, but I still think I prefer green over other colors with black out rears.
I have orange ameriglo hackathorns and on my sights the orange looks awesome…. In daylight. In the house with lower lighting not that noticeable. I think white is actually better indoors.

@@1776orbust yeah would have been nice to see the Night Vision yellow compared also. One person can only have so many though lol. My preference leans orange/red in bright light but yellow in dim light - when they are needed most.

Nice comparison! The only night sights I iwn right now is one set up Trijicon HD's. I bought them in a hurry because one of three back dots on my sight popped out on a Saturday just before sundown. I had training on Tuesday so I needed something right now. With that beind said.... I'm not a fan of "giant" dots of any kind. I haven't tried the Trijicon HD XR yet, but I think they are about the thinnest front sight you can get.
Excellent presentation! Night sights, with all the colors available, can become an actual investment! You can spend a lot of money until you get the combination of colors that actually works for you? Almost, a "Trial an error" challenge!
Absolutely and hopefully with the lighting it gives you a better perspective as to which works better for you

My XDS has excellent fiber sights but they don’t glow at night. I hate to switch them out but it’s my EDC. I have my “sights set on” yellow ameriglo’s. Thanks for the vid, sir. 👍🏼

I have Trijicon HD XR on my 2.0 compact, bright orange dot. With duty appex trigger...... but I still seem to go to my Glock 19 FS blue label gun with night sights and all that good stuff
I like the TFX pro night sights you get the best of both worlds with fiber optic in the day and tritium at night but the tritium is not as bright as my other night sights i don't know if the fiber optic takes away from the glow at night but my other night sights are noticeably brighter.

Thanks for the video man. I just bought my 1st set of night sights. I went with the orange front and blacked out square rear from Night Fision. I felt like orange would be the best for shooting during the day. I have nothing to compare the Night Fision sights with so I'm pretty confident that I'll be satisfied with how bright that orange front will be in 😁🤷🏾♂️
I hope so I will be honest at the red.for me tends to stand out more but everybody's eyes are going to be different

I’ll stick with my ADE red dot for the rear
Ive found transitioning from light to dark settings or dark to light setting. ie walking from indoors to outdoors or outdoors to indoors the orange dot stays apparent and sharp to me. Green and yellow are bright to me but I can't transition very well with them.
I assume that this is the Night Fission Perfect Dot sight! Have you tried the NF Glow Dome sights? I wonder how they would compare within your impressive lineup!

I put Truglo TFO sights on all my Glocks. Yellowgreen combo hiviz fiber optic and night sights. Best sights I have ever used and not as expensive as the rest.
Tru Glo is way better just got some my night fision I didn’t even work out of the box
Can you tell me which Ameriglo yellow sight you had in the middle? I looked on their website and I can only find orange and lumigreen. That sight, on your video actually grabbed my eye better than the rest. I have Night Fision and I agree with you that they are great in daylight but the ring doesn't let the tritium glow as much.
Bro that orange is just fine! Like what do you want? Do you wsnt a flash light on your sight? That orange is enough. Any color that you choose will be visible on daytime and night, who ever has a hard time picking up those sights will need glasses
Actually the orange isn't fine as the red and yellow are more pronounced, but to each their own
I have the TFX pros on my green P-01, and I actually wish I had gone with the regular green front sight
In the daylight they're fairly good because of the fiber optic option however there a bit disappointing on the brightness of their tritium

Great video! I love my XS Big Dot on my primary carry, but I chose the “green/yellow” color and honestly I don’t like it. It appears white during normal light conditions. If I had it to do over again I’d grab the orange XS Big Dot.
I saw another video on the Night Fission sites and I’m intrigued. It was a wild blue color that seems to really pop regarding visibility in low light conditions.
But my XS Big Dot has spoiled me, as it’s just so fast (for me) regarding quick target acquisition. A real game changer.
I may grab some of the Night Fission sights for my bedside piece. (Red or that crazy blue.)

No because I think the P-07 OD Green night sights are some of the brightest night sights that you will ever see
I always go with yellow or white rings. Now after having trijicon, ameriglo, and night fision, I prefer the night fision yellow/black rear. They just show better than the HD yellow
I recall several years back while working construction they made us switch from orange to yellow reflective vest when working on the interstate. Yellow apparently catches the eye better day or night.
I think the next one on my list from night fision is definitely the yellow

Red front with a blank rear. Red and green catches your eye the fastest.

Thanks I would have never considered red. I was looking for sights on my 19x thinking orange & now think red will stand out better than yellow on a tan slide. I run yellow Ameriglo on my other gun and like them.

yes it went on no issues I just had to use the cz scew not the night fision one
I am surprised you didn't give XS tritium standard dots a try as well.
I prefer meprolight tru dot. A whole lot better for my eyes in all situations
zebfox011 - Meps are nice, but they aren’t that bright compared to the competition! Night Fission (particularly the Glow Domes) dots are on another level...

no brass punch and the finish on night fision are very good
I love my NF sights but i was very disappointed in the blue ring front sight. No where near as bright as it is in pics. But the tritium is very bright for me
interesting I think the red has the brightest look and a lot of the pics they use are saturated for color
Has anyone installed Night Fision stealths on Cz P10c and did you file bottom of sight to fit it?
Should have referred to the sights by name rather than the guns they were sitting on, the entire video. Got got confusing at the end trying to remember which sights were on which guns.
After 200-300 shots my Night Fision front sight lost its orange cap. It just flew away between shots.. :(
How did you get your red that bright i cant see mines in dark... I bought them for a sig p320 the rear are good the front shows amazing bit the red doesnt show in dark
I actually just use some lighting techniques where the light was hitting them from the back of the handgun that's the only way to get them to show up on camera
Man the rear sight looks super tall
I would recommend these sights for Glocks but not Sigs. I’ve never had to fit sights on my Sigs before but I had to with these. The steel used on these sights seem cheap and break easily. I’ll never buy these sights again. I’ll stick to Trijicon, and Truglow.

Definitely has an advantage because it glows in the dark with a little bit of light on it but ameriglo has always made great stuff
Red is the complete opposite of blue w your background which makes it pop the most.

I have blue on my 509 ...its not very bright and doesn't catch the eye as well imo
My buddy had blue on his Sig and he always stated that it was a downgrade for the pistol. It was so damn dark and insignificant that we would joke that he might as well black it out with a Sharpie!

Night Fision The manufacturer does not provide a phone number for contact, nor do they respond to your email communication. Because of this, their product warranty is worthless. Buy another brand.
Phone number was a no go. Support did respond to the email and timely.
Night fision has very bad customer service and don't even care to reply.
