      I admit that I am still discovering the "90's" Cowsills, but I have heard enough that I can say that I really do like their new music! I don't know if I am correct in saying they have written all of their own music this time around, but I am really impressed. I love the hits they had back in the 60's, and some of that is for sentimental reasons, but this new music takes them beyond the "factory-produced" pop music of back then. I miss the voices of Barry and Bill, but Susan, Paul, Bob, and the occasional John, are carrying on the Cowsill harmonies just fine. So glad to see the Cowsills are back!

    • @quovadis5429
      @quovadis5429 ปีที่แล้ว

      Y'know...I was thinking the *exact* same thing! It's reminiscent of Paul Westerberg's very late Replacements-->-->transition-to-Wester-Solo, melodic, laconic, stereophonic soul-tonic sound. Now on the precipice of 2023 (as I post this), the universe might just do a spontaneous cartwheel upon hearing an announcement to the tune of: ------->> "The Cowsterbergs" new album drop + tour... That would truly be sugar-coated Aural 😱Sex for the masses.

      Robert Genis bud was a sexual deviant that raped his daughter while mom was co dependent and did nothing. these brothers and sister could and would of done greater stuff had their father not of trashed their career with a lot of dumb management. Billy was maybe a notch or two below Brian Wilson but did an amazing job turning a lot of shit material bud forced on them into decent songs. The template for the show The Partridge Family it had to be rough with mom in the group. Billy was drifting into substance abuse and if there wasn't so much psychological damage done by his dad Billy would still be with us and hopefully would of kicked drugs. There is a documentary film about their career from around 2012 that is fantastic and covers each brother and Susan thoroughly. A must see if you can find it. It was on HBO or showtime just last year. Susan has an amazing voice throughout the movie. Bob did an admirable job taking Bills place and is the glue in that family. So much talent as sister Susan was not a Latoya Jackson type sibling involved just because but sheer talent. Old clips shows her in the background dancing really hip by the way as the band performed. Wish them all well. Tim Sydlowski....The brother who drums for the Beach Boys is married to one of the Bangles the girl group who had a good career with hits manic Monday, walking down the street, walk like an Egyptian and hazy shade of winter. I think its Debbie Peterson.

      It’s been true since Susan was 8. She was a born performer, singer, entertainer, dancer, and then she grew up and was beautiful and played instruments beautifully. Millions of us can’t take our eyes off her even today at 59. Keep playing, Susan! But look for the video on TH-cam, a ten year old Susan with Dean Martin on his show, wonderful!

    Did they ever put this stuff on an album, it would have been great - in the 90's most of the music sucked.

    It's a shame nobody knew how to set up the 2" quad deck this was played from. What's with the multiple repetitions of out of synch and incomplete video at the end?

    Susan would have probably played guitar had she been older in the 60s.

    I guess a lot of people will see this and think wow 30 years ago I must be getting old but I saw them in the 60s so I know I’m pretty old...

    As wonderful as the Cowsills are the editing on this clip really sucks. Whatever were you thinking?? Of course, it was nice to see what you showed of the band playing the three songs that were later to become a part of their 1998 CD called "Global". But why weren't all three songs shown in their entirety. IMO, a really terrible job of putting all this footage together.
