Brother prices are high from market rates because of following reason:
#1 - Sab se pehle her cheez ki proper security check kerne k baad wahan le ker jaana hota he, means 1 1 bottle, 11 dabba scanner se guzarta he and in cheezo me kaafi time and manual work include hota he.
#2 - Waha per shop rent bhut ziada he, because waha per competition kam he.. and rent ziada hone ki wajah se bhi waha per prices ziada he.

water bottle doesn't cost 23 or 25 rupees in pakistan. you must have ignored to read tax price mentioned there.
They took slightly more cause that place is too far from cities and travel cost can increase slightly price which is not a big deal.
Why cost of everything in Pakistan double the price of India? We get mineral water probably between Rs 20-30 in most local areas.

1. It's not a local area. It's beyond even the villages, so it costs more than local price.
Local price of water bottle is 30PKR which is only 11.5 INR. So most things are cheaper in Pakistan (except for those that have to be imported).
2. Water bottle in this video was only 19INR if you convert the price in your currency.
So it was still cheaper than local Indian price. Check 14:52.
It's irritating when Indians pretend Conversion Rates don't exist. I see Indians commenting "scam" in every single tourist video of Pakistan.
And of course, foreigners end up believing them because their comments get dozens of likes from other Indians.

I am not trying to portray Pakistan in bad light caz this problem exists in whole of Southern Asia. Just like Pakistan even in India even Indian citizens gets scammed in their own god for saking country. Even foreigners come to our country and they do point at certain scams happening in our country, I don't get offended at all. In fact I feel happy they are genuinely expressing what they feel like , at least they are being honest with us. I don't necessarily think they mean to insult our country just to get "views" from others. Such scams really tarnish the image of a country so rather than avoiding it, it's better we start working on them . I'd be glad if more and more people started travelling to Pakistan including me as well since its been part of our history. I don't know why you hold so much hatred and resentment against us? I mean, even after you inligtened me with such long info I still don't hold any grudges against you or your country caz I get it, no one likes someone bad mouthing their country.

1. I already explained that. This is NOT a local area at all. It's a remote area beyond even the villages of Pakistan. It's a "tiny" tourist area in middle of nowhere - which only exists because of Sikhs.
The nearest village doesn't even have gas. They get power cuts every 2 hours these days & a lot of locals there don't even pay electricity bills. My friend is from there.
Count in their travel expense, cooking expense, conversion rate & profit margins and then talk about "tourist scam".
You're being disrespectful enough by making uninformed judgements.
2. As far as your irrelevant activist talk goes, local shopkeepers of Pakistan are famous for giving tourists everything for free. Let alone overcharge them.
Even if they don't, nearby locals often pay for the tourists out of goodwill. You'll see dozens of vloggers talking about it - how they barely spent any money in Pakistan.
You're a LOT more likely to face tourist scam in France than in Pakistan.
Recently, a local horse handler was immediately jailed for trying to trick a tourist into taking 'longer ride' (not even overcharging).
That's how better Pakistan is culturally & legally in handling the issue you're trying to push on Pakistan.
3. Don't say "South Asia" now. You said "why in Pakistan" - directly pushing a very specific blame. Learn to own what you say for what it is, or think more before you say anything.
Lastly, you're not making any sense. I gave a logical breakdown of the prices with factors like conversion rates, locality & taxes. Then pointed out how Indians always ignore it & spam "scam" in every tourist video of Pakistan in existence.
And you equated it to me having resentment against Indians, being biased in defending my country & being offensive to you because I wrote a 'long comment'?
How does that make any sense?
I'm sorry, but you don't come off as a person one can reason with.

in the city this bottle is pkr 40 but due to the cost of transportation by these local sellers it's 50 there. there are other water bottles which are much cheaper then that but this is a good quality one. rest the prices were reasonable

Being honest it's a bit expensive in some shops and average prices in some and the rest of others are totally favorable prices, idk why they are way too high but it's true some of these things are expensive but if you actually complain them towards the Office of managerment it could be sorted out cuz if someone try to harm our guests, we have the modern solutions :)
