“Блин!”{CRAP blin}-original meaning is actually a “pancake”. So, I guess, you are wondering, why do Russian people say a “pancake” to express some emotions. So, actually, when we express emotions, we use the second meaning of this word which is “ Damn!/Crap!. Furthermore, this word is a euphemism that is used to replace a strong word : Бл*дь {Blyad' } often shortened to just:
Бл* {Bl*}.
Literal meaning: a wh*re. The original meaning refers to a woman of an ancient profession. It is mostly used as exclamation, somewhat similar to F*ck or Sh*t and it is very rude.

It has almost the same meaning as “капец!” . However, in this case it is a euphemism of a rude swear word: П*здец{pizdets}=F***cked up!; which originates from a word that signifies a female reproductive organ.
*Euphimism= a mild or indirect word or expression substituted for one, considered to be too harsh/blunt when referring to something unpleasant.
П*здец{pizdyets} means Damin it!/It’s a complete disaster!
You won’t hear this word on TV as it is prohibited. It is used as an exclamation to describe a situation that went really wrong.
