Mumbo loved the mountains, he said it made him want to climb them and pointed out routes and strategy for climbing. That's how you know you made a good landscape!
In my opinion the forest could use some younger and smaller trees. The forest shouldn't get too dense of course, but it would look a bit more natural if you threw some smaller trees in as well in my opinion.
ive felt the same thing but in Minecraft, its very difficult to make a small tree that fits the vibe I'm going for. the smaller trees detracted from the feeling I want. so for now I feel like its been a good decision to omit them
So for those leaves my mindset was snow covered trees, as you can do the green underneath, but it will allow you to have white leaves for winter scenes
Awhile back, BDubs started using more 'ambience' style music in this series. I absolutely love it! The sound scaping really fits the scenes. Todays hang-pan track was chef's kiss. Thank you!
Joel screaming like a maniac for Gem to kill a zombie and a spider in Minecraft VR while he was motion sick is one of my favorite chaotic moments from him! 😂
C418's is just unique, i feel like some people don't even notice it, nor its impact on what the game's soul is. Thanks for using it, as minecraft's music is quite always muted in videos !
As much as I like C418's music, the music in this episode wasn't from him Bdubs was playing Lena Raine's nether tracks for the winter garden bit, with the first & final track by Aaron Cherof
Soundtrack for the episode has me emotional. Minecraft is more than a game. It is an experience that connects all of us that play. Thank you for reminding to turn up the music once in awhile.
13:40 I LOVE the plant table with my whole entire heart!!! I like it most without the moss carpets, as it looks like a custom carved artsy table. Brilliant!!
bdubs some how managed to create a landscape and vibe increddibly nostalgic for me. Idk if its because he lives in michigan too but just the colors and everything sends me back to my childhood
That intro music is one of my favorite parts of the Minecraft soundtrack. It holds a lot of special memories of me and my friends who I don't talk to much anymore! Thank you for adding it. It makes me think of the fun times we all had on our little Hermitcraft inspired server.
Absolutely beautiful editing this season, but this episode is particularly incredible. Certain sections of this video feel like they could be the slow, beautiful, intro cinematics to something like Breath of the Wild. Gently drawing you into something magical.
Yeah, the new music doesn't feel the same. It doesn't fit the vibe Bdubs is going for either. It's good music but it's not quiet, gentle Minecraft, it's more adventure and paced. I wish they brought C418 back on but since it's Microsoft now they wanted him to give up the music rights, whereas the original Mojang let him release the soundtrack CD's as his own work. Dragon Fish was his last great hurrah on the soundtrack.
@@mikafoxx2717 As much as I like C418's music, quite a bit of the music in this episode wasn't from him Bdubs was playing Lena Raine's nether tracks for the winter garden bit, with the first & final track by Aaron Cherof
12:26 I definitely see the Arcane vibes and I think you really pulled it off! The colour is technically out of place but fits the colour pallet beautifully
These videos offer a true cinematic experience. This one was cozy when it needed to be and creepy when it needed to be. Bdubs took on the pale garden like an explorer rather than just stripping it for resources and peacing out. 10/10 masterful work
34:51 OMgooooodness!!! It looks like pebblestone texture!!! Thinking pebble stone and dark wood lake house drinking hot coffee around fire pit!!! I loveeeee!!!
The 2 high pale vine on the door would be great to cover up the original storage room door if you plan to stop using it, let it look properly overgrown
This is why I love waking up to a Bdubs video during the morning. It's the most serene time of the day, and slowly amps up to something chaotic in tandem with me being more active - like it matches my energy.
You continue to prove Etho right (I think Doc said it too, probably everyone on the server lol) we keep getting more of the same boring colors and Bdubs loves it.
I don’t know how to describe how much I love the use of the original music in the background, that warm feeling when you don’t have to worry about anything, finals done, tomorrow is Saturday, and learning it’s your birthday. Just reminded me of simpler times. Thank you
Beautiful video as always Bdubs! Thanks so much for judging on the axiom build contest!! It was so so cool to see you and the others talk about my build on Stan’s stream! I put some clips of it in my own video :)
I dunno if BDubs reads comments, but that rocky pillars (at time 6:28), I wonder if a tiny little cave entrance close to the top would be possible, adding some flickering light, that makes it look like someone or something has made home, drawing the attention closer the spot. Allways loved the buildings he makes, Im no BDubs, Keralis or Gem when it comes to building, I just dig a big ol hole!
34:56 It is a very niche use, but I can definitely see these leaves being used to add highlights to tree builds (kinda like reducing the contrast on the rock to make it look farther away). I can also see myself using these to mimic frosted leaves, or to create an 'ash' effect from a fireplace or a forest fire. Very neat block! Your vids are definitely inspiring me to get back on the game and scratch that building itch again.
I think Bdubs's base is my favorite on the server, its detailed but somehow feels simplistic and relaxing. Its hard to put into words. Then again good art is always difficult to put into words.
That fence gate above the door makes all the difference! Also I loved hearing the Minecraft soundtrack this episode. And you're onto something with that green table for sure.
Bdubs you are an absolute professional at what you do. The pacing. The music. The vibe. I’ve watched you for over 10 years and you are currently running on all cylinders. Seriously impressive and inspiring
Bdubs you are a funny man and a good artist. You are uniquely you and that's why you see so much success. You do a ton of work in the background that is frustrating, tedious and, time consuming. It is something we as an audience never see nor appreciate. But then sometimes I suddenly remember the day you got suckered so hard. The day you sprung the "blowfish trap." That was a long con but is was something you could never put in a bottle. That remains one of the funniest moments I think I have ever seen from the Minecraft community.
At your mountains you could host a rock-climbing event using wind charges! Mumbo was drooling just at the sight of them so this is the closest thing to it in Minecraft. I'm not sure how far up you can go with each charge so maybe build some temporary platforms. Best thing is with using wind charges is that you don't take fall damage so no one can death loop, but someone, Scar, will find a way. Wind charges don't affect grass either. Yeah, just have each Hermit start on a different mountain side since if they all start on the same block, they might take forever to begin climbing but it would be funny. This would be so cool.
BDubs isn’t just my favorite my favorite Minecraft channel to watch. He’s my favorite artist to watch. The stuff he makes in Minecraft should be in museums.
Sometimes I see the things people build and I am like "dang this person is as good as bdubs at building, if not better!"... but then bdubs does his intros, with the music in the background and the fog in the foreground, and I realize that he literally makes this game a work of art. Even if it's not the most technically impressive, or largest build you've ever seen, it's just stunning.
This is the most "Minecrafty" Minecraft video!!! I am loving the inclusion of the soundtrack. It makes it feel like I am playing! Thank you Bdubs for this beautiful video!
i love the soundtrack for the pale forest adventure; it seemed so tense, but in a genre-aware kind of way. like a don quixote adventure where no one is in any real danger. very wholesome video, thank you!
DUDE the intros to all your vids this season have been majestic. it feels like Mr Rogers Neighborhood mix with an artistic indie movie. I love it so much!
If you’re up to it, going back to the idea with the mountains being something to see in the distance, what if you dug out a huge area and made a crystal cave with fountains and pools like in lord of the rings underneath helms deep
I could (and would) watch those replay bits where it’s just building as a full episode No commentary, even- although that surely is one of my favorite parts anyway

You can use the placed resin clumps on leaves to make fruit trees, or place it on the ground as pollen, or as fallen leaves for a fall scene.
