I play GT7 and ACC on PS5. I have to say ACC has improved with the latest updates. Needless to say I prefer to play with a wheel, but it's also possible to do good lap times with a controller on ACC, and that's without messing with the car settings too much. In comparision with a wheel you feel way more understeer with a controller in ACC but it's easy to adopt to that and counter it with a few settings. You just have to get your controller settings right and find the right car for it, they behave very different, which is a good thing. In terms of wheel feeling, I love GT7 with a wheel but you definitely feel more force feedback on ACC. TLDR both games are fun!
Nice video Congratulation's on the 5th place and going to the live event!! You are having the same problem I have in the BMW M2 the brakes(and probably everyone else as well) The BMW M2 is pretty tough to drive because of the braking- ABS triggers- off of almost no brake input and you also can not adjust the brake bias either being able to move it to the rear would probably help a little. I actually found turning the brake power down in the setup helped the ABS trigger a little less for me at least. If you look at your inputs even when your trailing off and at 10% input its still triggering the ABS fully. Its the only car ive tried lower brake power on because to many times its like the ABS just got stuck on and no matter what I was doing the car would just not stop or rotate into the corner when trailing off. I also have adjusted my brake calibration-put on a heavier spring as well it probably was a part of the problem but the ABS on the BMW M2 is just still way to active in my opinion. Well darn, the VBOX thing is really expensive : ( sadly thats like my budget for buying games for a whole year so its just not something I will be able to do. It does look pretty awesome though.
Thanks man. Yeah I was bummed the brake bias was not adjustable. Great idea to reduce the brake force. I’ll remember that 👍🏻👍🏻 Yeah VBOX isn’t cheap. But it is a very useful tool if you’re looking to be able to closely compare based on data rather than ‘feeling’
I'm playing ACC on a controller with Gamepad FX turned on in CSP, it was a blast, it makes your controller's thumb stick "behave" a bit more like a steering wheel.
I only tried ACC briefly. I can say that it's great in terms of sound and force feedback. But I'm not the most patient person, so having to spend ages making settings so that you can race against others who spend a lot more time doing it put me off. GT7 has a lot of single player content, you don't have to race online, you can. And it's fun, sometimes, at an advanced level. Let's see if Asseto Corsa Evo can change anything....
you really don't have to mess with setups unless you are running the top 1-2% in times and trying to squeeze out the last tenths. the default safe or aggressive setup is fine, then do 2 laps and adjust tire pressures accordingly to the specific track. or just copy some free setups like from Fri3dolf.
@@Doughtinator Yeah, I am going through most cornerns in a very big slip angle xD But I know I can still tame it by tweaking the car settings and controller sensitivity settings, so I want to see first what I can achieve on the controller before maybe starting to return to using a wheel. I did drive the original Assetto Corsa on PS4 with a wheel back when we still had national league races in that game, but I dropped using the wheel after that. It is a constant consideration…
On PS5 or PC? On PC, it's absolutely immense. The FFB is unreal. The physics absolutely outshine GT7 in my opinion. You can put a wheel on a wet kerb and not meet Barry R. It's sketchy yes, but ifor me, its feels more real. That's not to say that I have Any irl racing experience.
Tried ACC on PC and found FFB worse than on GT7 I just couldn't tell what the car was doing. Car setup and annoying league setup make it a game for ppl with more time. Once I switched over to VR in GT7 there's no going back to ACC at all.
I have tried it on PS5 but found it really difficult to dial in a usable wheel setting. I get very little feel in straight ahead driving and lots of shaking when I start to turn. This makes hitting apexes and keeping to racing lines difficult.
hey Doug great to see u back in fit shape again 😊 whats you prediction on the "my first GT" coming this xmas from poly hit or flop, maybe new life to GT, even wilder dreams of content ?
Guys.. I have to tell you that there is a guy who plays in the top split in LFM (Low Fuel Motorsport) and that is a level which the real Max Verstappen would play in who uses a controller ! His name is Goldstar and I heard he is a 14 year old. He is up against people who have rigs where the sky is the limit .. 5k, 10k.. honestly. He is competitive at that level. Belief and hard work.... Thats it...
A question for ps5. Can you tell me how strong you have the force feedback in the ras1lution 2? I ask because I put it on the display of the brook in 3 but I don’t know if it should be lower or higher to have a better experience
It’s not ACC evo. It is Assetto corsa evo. The difference is ACC is get racing only for the most part and only official tracks that go with them. AC and AC evo allow more mods for tracks, cars etc. It is more open and similar to gran turismo than ACC.
Well for me i kindly pefer GT7 because of Customization and performance parts of the cars in the game because i want to Modified my car into a track racing machine and racing at the race track and also the assetto corsa competizione was more realistic handling of the race cars in this game but it was good racing game i would try out this racing game. But if had these both GT7 and competizione on PS4.
@@Doughtinator Yes that's what I wanted GT7 so much because of Customization in the game and also I like racing games that has Customization that allow cars to be modified into a Racing machine and racing on the track.
Definitely not impossible. Not optimal but absolutely possible. Take the ”agressive default setup” and lower the TC and ABS and Rear wing a few notches and consider lifting rear ride height and basic things like that. Then make sure to adjust the controller steering sensitivity options to your liking and you will be lapping within 3% of competitive times just like in Gt7. I was doing lobby races at Spa yesterday and pole position times were around 2:18 and I managed a sub 2:22 without even optimising the car setup yet. But the basic philosophy with ACC is that you need to put effort into your settings before you can unleash your talent.
I've played both on controller, and I find GT7 is more of a fun racing game while ACC is absolutely no joke. It is a serious game.
100%. No room for error in ACC.
I tried acc on controller but i cant find the right settings. Do you have good settings voor controller?

Good, stay with GT7
Same. I returned the game lol I'm 31 years old with a family and want to keep hair follicles. 😆
Funny timing as I also did finally move over to PS5 last weekend and started to grind ACC on controller for the last couple of days 😅
ACC is very good. I would imagine quite edgy on controller though.

What wheel did you use?
lol well GT7 does everything for you. I nothing wrong with having a different opinion but it’s definitely not the same type of game.
ACC has way better Force Feedback.
Those of us who race in ACC thank you! Please stay in GT7
@@Doughtinator I have T300. Rest of you stop being such fanboys. If ACC had easier quicker race entry and VR support id play that too.

Nice one Chris on getting to the final, 🔥👊✨️
Thanks Julian. Exciting stuff 👍🏻👍🏻

I really hope and expect it to bring new players in. When you’re playing GT7 it’s superb. More people to try it the more people will be hooked 👍🏻👍🏻
i tried playing acc on a controller couldnt even get past the tutorial lol
It’s definitely more suited to wheel 👍🏻

ACC requires a DD wheel for absolute enjoyment. GT7 can be played with a controller.

I get to own the Series X version ACE in 2026. So close now. 😞
A very nice review Chris, thanks for the knowledge 👍.

ACC evo is on the way. Apatently, it will support vr2 and has a brand new game engine. I'll give that a go when it gets here.

Yeah it’s certainly focused on GT race cars to a set build.
Gran Turismo has much more freedom to build custom cars.

Do you think the PC version of ACC is a lot better than PS? Or they're pretty much equivalent asides from mod support?
Same game , just a little better ffb on pc (like 10% more details )
@@bratosin1 naaa fps also effects physics slightly plus you have lfm but you can do grid finder on console now so that helps

After the michelin tire update gran turismo is the sim For consoles.
GT7 is very hard to beat.

I’ve literally seen a friend compete on a controller on pc. You just need to dial it in inside of settings since this is a sim not a game.
Why would you try a game you’ve barely played with mods? That’s silly. Try the game as is & then do mods. You need to learn to drive first.
There are no mods in ACC. I tried this car/track combo as that was the ones specified for the time trial competition.
If the game imo has to be modded to be good, that tells me everything about the game
Graphics is too clean. Not much glare on glass
ACC is a real driving game.... unlike the gt7 arcade charade.... polyphony are so far behind in the race they are becoming a laughing stock 😂😂😂
