The gentleman that owned the stuff seemed pleased to see it go to you. The lady that helped was a hard worker.
Yes the entire family was great to work with and they were happy knowing this stuff was going to get recirculated and used!
It’s going to take years to distribute and sell. good part it’s all dry and relatively clean.
@@davidandrews9670 And Accurately Labeled! That is just amazing!
Kudos to that guy for doing all keeping all those parts in a neat manner.
A friend of mine had relatives who were closing down an old wrecking yard. He called, we went and looked, and I was
overwhelmed, and nearly had a heart attack when they said the word "free". So I contacted the local high school for
some Saturday workers and am so glad I did. We filled a friend's 26 ft box truck, three heavy duty pick up trucks with
16 and 24 foot trailers. I got a total of seven hemi engines from 1954 up to 1968. Six Buick 'nailhead' engines, 4 big
block Chevys, two 427s and one 396 and one 454. I also got over a thousand parts including an old front engine
dragster frame which got reconditioned and lived on the local drag strip for eight years. This was the biggest car parts
haul I had ever done, but sure does not compare to the value of what you came across.
Matt - you found the Oak Island treasure!!! I’ll be waiting to see Mike unpack and show the other goodies at the warehouse. I would have enjoyed talking to the old timer about his car projects. What a nice couple!!
Haha! Seems like all they’ve found of value on Oak Island is a history story.
It's nice to see someone pass on their passion before they pass on.
What a nice guy. Imagine what it took to collect all those great items. Now his legacy will be out to the world. Bless this gentlemen for his understanding of the hobby. Could not have picked a better crew to help distribute these forgotten items. Congratulations Matt.
well said.
Oh my ....that is incredible....how can this video be so short...that is like a quarter million dollars of stock / trade / inventory...ya gonna have to rent more of warehouse...lol...awesome guys
Probably more than that.
@@rickallen6378 The most expensive part of those type of hoards are the time it takes to research/clean/box/label what you have, since you didn't collect it. This is already done! Not to mention the unobtainium they kept unearthing. Priceless.... I REALLY wanna know what he got it for.
It looks like you found the basement to Honest Charlies in 1959. Wow!!
iron trap garage is the best place for these historic parts, they can live on and service the hot rod community.
unbelievable amount of parts and so well organized, there's a few things that Matt will be squirreling away!!
No wonder that I can't find parts at swap meets any more...they are all stacked in basements maturing...that was a crazy collection!!
🇺🇸🤘 Welcome to MN, Iron Trap!🤘🇺🇸
You guys uncovered an automotive shipwreck! Talk about a treasure trove! WOW! Congrats!
Great score! He looks very pleased that you guys are getting his parts!
He was happy to know a lot of it will get passed on and reused and back on cars!
Normally the snow in Minnesota would be balls high to a tall giraffe. It brought tears to my eyes to watch this many classic Ford parts leaving the area. But I can’t think of a better person for it. Congratulations.
It might be a while before I can pick my jaw up off the floor.....what a treasure trove of vintage goodies. Great for you Matt.
Dude!!!🤯my knee's hurt!!! just watching you guy's and gal clearing out the basement!!!! great video!!!✌️
The Mother Lode! Good clean livin' pays off again.
Outstanding pick guys on what you found and please pass on thanks to the family on what they saved over the years from one who appreciates the time it take to not only save parts but to label and organize them.
I cannot believe this stuff was in my back yard! So good to meet Mat and Mike, you guys do amazing things and your channel is first rate.
I can't wait to see all this laid out, especially the Oldsmobile parts.
I have seen collections like this end up sold to a museum before and while I enjoy visiting museums, I’m way more excited to know that you got this collection and it will be put to use in car builds in the future that really get used and not just hanging on a wall. Some will I’m sure but still this is a huge recirculating of parts that were made to go into actual use. Pretty exciting stuff.
You guys must feel like treasure hunters who find the hidden gold!👍🏼
That sure beats pulling stuff out of some of the sites you cleared in the past. The owner showed great respect for what he collected in his life.
Talk about a shot in the arm for your business. Wow. I think the gentleman was really happy to pass the parts on to you knowing you share the same passion he has.
Thats the Midwest for you, even the weird hoarders are neat and organized.
So I’m living in Minnesota and my father who is 82 and has lived in Minnesota for 60 years has been hunting swap meets and any other tips to find old ford parts for 60 years. I look forward to sharing this video with him I’m very confident that he knows the guy you purchased the ford parts from. Good luck on everything!
Just when you think you’ve hit the mother load, another comes along…impressive collection of stuff!
Now that ! Is overwhelming 😱.
Not sure my heart would have taken it seeing all the speed stuff !
MEDIC ??
😁😁👍👍👍
I've NEVER seen such a "Honey Hole" in my life! What a score!!!! The organization that this guy had is just amazing. I mean, treasures, treasures everywhere, AMAZING!!!!
Wow 🤩 The work involved in loading… Thanks for saving 👍👍
Way kool. Way overboard. Nice people. Long live em all.
Incredible haul!!
Top tip for you boys as I do what you do here in the UK and Europe.
Get pallets into your van that makes unloading so much easier.
Doesn't matter you've a hire van you can get pallets anywhere.
Matt.
That is a true gold mine you have worked hard to find.
Great job.
I recognize that situation.. when a guy has that much stuff, for that long.. when he decides to sell it.. he wants to move fast before second thoughts set in. That is a crazy bunch of stuff.
Unbelievable! Speed parts stacked like cordwood! Congratulations guys!
Wow! What a haul! I would be frothing at the mouth if I sold parts like you guys do! Thank you for the thrill!
Thats amazing, I did not think that there were even that number of flathead v8 aftermarket manifolds in existence.
Lots of guys with way more than this believe it or not!
Un believable stash of vintage Ford parts!!!! I don't know how you find this stuff but it is so cool to know that stuff is still out there. The 80+ fellow owner stayed right with you guys loading it and the lady also worked her tail off!!! It will take a while to go trough all of it but that will be so much fun. Love your channel Matt. Thanks for another great video, Missouri Mike
I believe all those parts have definitely gone to the right home.
I'm sure they'll find their way onto many projects, not just stuck, out of
sight, in one man's collection; but, kudos to that man, for preserving all that
stuff for so long. That's a win, all round.
Lordy bahgordy! Amazing haul! Can't wait for the website update and sale! Go Iron Trap, keep moving forward!
Mike your going to be busy for the next year with this!
Great find!!!!
My God Matt ! How do you find these situations ? Your going to be the shop to go to for flathead parts for the foreseeable future ! 👊😎👍
I see a Retail store or Two " IRON TRAP" in the near future! ... you guys have soo much stuff!! Awesome!
Wow, what a stash. I know you guys are keeping the stories behind some of these pieces.
Wow you found the Mother Load! I guess Mike won't be working on his 33 for awhile.
Supper find guy's my back hurts just watching the loading process.
The family was extremely helpful witch is unusual. Enjoying your videos as usual.

Pure insanity.i wished to see the garage after you were done. Will you go back to get the rest?
Wow! I would like to build a flathead with Offenhouser heads. Keep me in mind for a build
Grab those Hush Thrush NOS mufflers in the boxes at 26:08.
You have a good reputation in the car community matt , that's why people come to you, they know the parts and cars will go back into circulation, keep up the good work .
Bullsh*t. Matt has a horrible reputation in the car community. LOTS of folks can't stand him and can't stand his shady ways.
Yet you watch his channel. That will teach him.
A real honey hole. You got a lot of selling to do. Wheeeeew!
Wish I knew this fellow - judging by the looks of his alley, we may live in the same neighborhood. 🙂You did luck out on the weather, Minneapolis in the first part of February usually is a lot colder and snowier.
I once talked to a friend of my dads and he owned a shop he told me he was into flat heads back in the day. So of course I said do you have any of it. He said no he wished he did got rid of it nobody wanted it back then. Cool guy miss him.
THIS IS CRAAZY..and I get a little bit sad too. You know, trying to scrape together money for some decent flathead trim parts and you just hit the mother load. At the same time, you guys are the perfect guys to take care of the culture so kudos to you :)
Anything as simple as a good two carburetor intake and alu heads for a decent price ?
It’s incredible that one Man can collect so much stuff My Farther was a collector of many things also
HOLY SHIT! WHAT A HONEY HOLE! great score guys!
Nice I was wondering what kinda of system do you have for categorizing your collection?

Early Ford Store East Coast!!!

Mate, you won the lottery!

That truck, were the mud flaps dragging the road? Did you have to put 100 pounds of air in the rear tires to stop the sidewalls rubbing?
