Lovecraft beauty you can get a full palette at five below and have been able to four a long time they're cheap That's one of the reasons I stopped getting tipsy the fact that they're five below you can get the exact same thing for four dollars their quality has gone down to so the price went up and quality went down
Nomad has nice eyeshadows. I have a couple of the singles. They're pretty buildable so they go from a sheer wash/K-beauty style to a full-on spectacle, and are decently priced for an indie brand. I'm not a fan of Ipsy, but absolutely love watching your unboxings and even more love the rare puppy sightings.
The price increase made my glam bag $16 a month for samples. I cashed in my points, skipped my plus, and after my glam bag arrives this month I'm canceling both subscriptions. I also canceled Boxy. I'm over the price hikes, the quality going down, and boxy looking more and more like the same glam bag plus subscription I had last year. I'll take my $80 a month a buy a few items I actually WANT. Or just save my money.

This!! I canceled all versions of boxy & Ipsy the first of the year and haven’t regretted it yet. I was spending well over $100 a month. I got frustrated with all the variations and lack of “good” products ….heck even when they have good known brands it’s on sale or found at TJ max, soon to be discontinued or is straight up expired. I received way too many expired skincare products from boxycharm both in the boxes and purchasing Popup. I’d rather spend my $100 on a pat Mcgrath palette, I’d rather have 1 amazing item over 20 that are mediocre/useless…

My grandmother was a purple lover (lilac to be specific) and I can confirm purple lovers have an "intense, raw passion" for the color. So much so that she would always think it was also my favorite color lol (I hate purple but loved my grandmother).
I cancelled just last month. I had to open up a ticket with their “Glam Bot” for them to finally cancel. Also, it took FOUR days to get the confirmation email stating it was cancelled. The increasing prices don’t help either!
I cancelled too. I had always loved the glam bag sizes as I used them for travel as they were much cheaper than travel sized items sold at the drugstore but the cancelling process is a nightmare waiting days for the cancellation email.
As a purple girl myself, I never gave it a second thought how hard I go for my color and how little everyone else goes for their colors before this video oops🧍🏽♀️
I'm no longer a purple girl but in middle school absolutely *everything* was purple (school supplies, bedroom, etc.) and I never realized how no one else did that until the internet mentioned it 😂

Every room in her house is a different shade of purple, ceilings even. Most of her furniture is purple. She is obsessed with the color, and has been for years. Purpple its just one of my favorite colours not like a purpple obssesion in anny way buuuut… the walls of my room, my hair and half my nail polishes and makeup are purpple leanning.
With my job, I can tell you, there is absolutely no reason for multimillion dollar companies to raise their prices in the way they have. The company I work for has already seen three increases, upwards of fourteen percent per increase, from several major brand names since the beginning of year. They use fuel, shipping and lack of employees as their excuse. The company I work for has chosen not to increase profit and is a baby compared than those major corporations and is still functioning. The increases will not decrease once things flatten out, they've found their excuse to increase profit over forty percent.
As a member of the purple is our favorite color nation, yes we are very passionate about our love of purple. And will be very vocal about it. Purple is a way of life and life style. It is not for everyone. 💜💜💜💜
This is why I love just buying the makeup I know I'm going to love instead of wasting money on subscription boxes. Every once in a while I'll open something on my TH-cam channel, but mostly I want to use what I already have. I love working on my project panning. These sub services take your money and send you things you don't want or won't use.
Not gonna lie, I love the small references to random music, movies, and TV shows you manage to drop in almost every video. Todays Harry Potter reference was from one of my favorite scenes of all time. 🥰
As a Canadian, I already pay an additional $3 USD for shipping tax and now they are adding this $2 charge. Once you trade it over to CND I'm paying $25 bucks for my ipsy. Not to mention they are missing half my add on products every month for about two years (I'm not kidding) and my bags always arrive at least a full month late. 😣 Also, Canadians can't purchase from the website deals or receive Glam Bag Plus or Glam Bag X.
I love that you give your honest opinion about all the things Ipsy related. One thing I will note is that the Glam Bag Plus only gives 5 full-size items for $28+S&H, and while it is still a better deal than Glam Bag, I feel like all of these new fees are getting out of hand for everything.
My bag is now over $16 after taxes. It’s been $14.10 for awhile before that, and $13.01 before that. That’s a lot of increases. I actually use to receive two Glam bags but I canceled my second one a couple of months ago. Oh, and I super jealous you received the silver eye pencil! I wanted that so bad. I was disappointed that it wasn’t in add ons. Those are really nice pencils.
These subscription boxes right now, whether they are make up or clothes, are like a luxury. Times are tough for some people right now, and the price of gas eventually makes EVERYTHING go up because things need to be shipped to places. Personally, I have decided this is a great time to be a minimalist. And, I love Alexandria’s videos!
The Glam Plus is about $30 now, ($28 plus tax & the $1.99 shipping fee) when they were $25 originally, w/ free shipping. Im not sure why they're putting a shipping fee, like mentioned, they arent hurting for cash. They're just being greedy at this point. Glam X is almost $60. I cant lol.

I think doing tryons this way are fun, you get to try on a few things you like. And knowing you donate the extras a lot is fantastic, you seem like a wonderful person ❤️
I’ve been debating canceling for soooo long. I always end up getting one product I really like and is technically more expensive than the bag itself but then I have like 4 products I don’t really care about. In my opinion the only box worth it anymore is the Glam Bag X but to even get it you still have to get the crappy small ones to stay on the wait list.
The glam bag X is getting just like everything else. It’s getting more and more skincare heavy and brands I’ve never heard of or care to use. The first 2 were awesome though!!!

Ganymede is one of Jupiter's moons! The palette that eyeshadow shade is from is space themed; I have it and it's so pretty! It's also about $16 on Amazon. I resubscribed to the Ipsy Glam Bag Plus in May and have had _so many_ issues ever since! I only got my May bag yesterday (the 30th of _June_ ) and my June bag a few days before that. The June bag arrived with all my choices and add-ons, but the May bag was full of stuff I didn't choose and most of it unusable to me (my sister got all of that stuff!) They did send me a couple of free gifts with each bag as an apology (a contour palette and a battery-operated face scrubber...thing), so I'm giving them one more month and then I'll decide if I should cancel. I was really happy with my June bag, though. Definitely cancelling if they raise prices again; nobody can afford that right now!
I briefly had Ipsy in 2017 and didn’t receive my first month’s bag for over 3 months. Every bag’s tracking number didn’t work so I had no idea where they were and after the first one they consistently arrived 1-2 weeks later than the end of their month. Every bag I got had complexion products that were too dark for me too so after 4 months of chaos and let down I unsubscribed. They ended up still charging me for 2 more bags after I got confirmation I’d unsubscribed. Luckily I’d been paying through PayPal and got my money back. This is to say that I’m sad to see at least some of their issues are still happening 5 years later, and be careful if you do decide to cancel it

My mom has had trouble with her feet her entire life and I know EXACTLY what you mean about those loafers. That dew of the gods stuff totally reads candy to me too. Ganymede is one of Jupiter's moons. There is such a thing as a rose apple, which is actually in the guava family. Apparently they have a texture like a soft apple and taste slightly floral. Everything's going up. I don't do make up (I just love watching you do it so I don't have to!) but I do get a couple of art subscription boxes - both very small companies at least - and we're already on our second price raise for the year. It's still cheaper than buying the products in them separately but it's getting closer now.
Cute to see NOMAD doing singles for these boxes. It’s an INCREDIBLE formula and very, very pretty purple-was one of my top eyeshadow palettes last year. I definitely recommend it to folks who are interested in the color story… that said, I think you probably got the most accessible shade for you, Alexandria.
Hydrocolloid patches for your guests. I just discovered them. They're a LIFE changing product. And I have HORRIBLY sensitive skin. I can brush a tear from my cheek and my skin will turn red and be dry af by the next morning in that exact spot.
I’m also allergic to my tears. My skin goes red, my eyes burn and thus send out more tears… ugh. Look into Mast Cell Activation Syndrome if you haven’t already. I’m “allergic” to many things that never made sense, until we realised it was my body reacting to histamines.

Honestly 10 dollars was still a stretch to me when you aren't choosing the products and getting mostly samples... although I guess the element of surprise was a factor. When I bought the qvc advent calendar years ago I paid 60 bucks and got 24 items that were valued 5-15 dollars each...so well worth your money and I found products I love and still use today! Still had the elements of surprise and the products were good quality...not just any random brand.
I'm so glad you made this video!! I've been following Michelle Phan for what, 13+ years? so obviously when she made an affordable beauty subscription I was ALLL over it when it first dawned. Seeing the price rise over the years as well as the recent content farm that are IPSY's YT Shorts has made me sooo so so sad. Michelle deserves a better team.
Just want to put out there when gas prices up , everything have to go up. Even flights using gas . International shipping , food price , . That’s the fact . Yup! I was one of the possibly thousands of people who canceled last month. There was value in the bag when I would get a full sized eyeliner or lipstick almost every month for 10 bucks, plus other cool items. But now I’m getting smaller and smaller sample sized makeup every month for $16? That’s not happening.
I keep reminding myself that the annual renewal is in September. I also plan on cancelling. You got more makeup in each of your bags than I've seen in forever. I also ended up with the lip stuff, it's very grainy. It's a shame because it use to be a fun pick me up each month.
I was subscribed when they where still $10 and then briefly when they where $12. I generally liked what I got but once I stopped I realized I now have a TON of makeup that I barely wear anymore :') Especially with covid stuff giving me no reason to bother, I am also stuck with all these gotdamn BAGS I don't know what to do with. When they where still $10 I think it was a pretty good deal, you where guaranteed one full sized item that was basically the value of your bag but for $15 I could go to Walmart and buy all full sized products that I pick myself and know I actually want.

I just want to say I went to Sephora 2 days ago, inside of Kohl's tbh, it just opened in my local area. I was checking out and asked the very sweet woman working there about how it is they have facial skin care there on sample display but its hard to really try it out. She packed me up a lil sample to go home with!!! I've been to Sephora many times before and never really thought to ask nor had this been offered before when I have asked questions about a product. I used to love a full face of makeup. Now that I am a lil bit older I am really in to skin care and just some subtle eye makeup on occasion. I have been very curious about Fenty's skin care line and I got a little capsule of the Fat Water to try out. I was so happy and pleasantly suprised. So in case anyone else didn't know you can do this now ya do if you see this ❤

I wish all subscription boxes did like Ferrara Box (instead of auto charging every month they send an email invoice reminder that you can then CHOOSE to pay and get the next box OR just ignore and it will skip that month)

.I have been with Ipsy since 2016. I was told there was a supply issue with the May bag and that I could purchase it with points(which they gave me just to use on the bag) i was satisfied at first until the sudden notice of a 1.99 s/h fee. I thought after that it was time to say goodbye and after chatting with the Glambot and it misunderstanding me they finally cancelled my subscription and I guess it is happening a lot and they are use to it because they didn't even care I was cancelling.
I love that you name your pimples😂 we’ve all had them we all get them and I’m 66 years old! They always seem to come at the worst times two ha ha. My daughter had a lot of troubles and she started taking skin hair nails supplement and then organic co-op here in Boise. She hasn’t had trouble with them since and I don’t know the name of it. I really used to enjoy how you used to do a face of makeup with whatever you got in your Ipsy bags. How about if you don't want to waste what you get in the Ipsy bags you go get similar items that you already have and still do the look I just love listening to you converse with us while you do your makeup

I canceled Boxy months back and kept skipping my Ipsy plus. I’ve only bought the reg glam bag and skipped at least one of them. The price increases bothered me after they bought out Boxy. Money is tight now so I actually think it’s not smart to keep increasing prices now…not that they will be hurt by it, but I truly think they will not profit as much as they would if they’d treated their consumers better. We loved Ipsy and boxy. Ik so many of us miss getting our boxes monthly, but I got tired of being disappointed.
I got the basic bag for 3 months this spring cuz I missed the makeup bag they include - they're always so cute! But I didn't really want a bunch of samples again (altho there were a couple I was glad to be able to try). I didn't have any trouble cancelling. Easy as pie within my account on the site and I haven't seen any charges since then that they shouldn't be charging. (edit: Ganymede is a satellite of Jupiter; he was also a beautiful young Greek hero (this is waaaay back in the day, mind) kidnapped to serve as Zeus's cup bearer in Olympus. That Zeus he was a...something all right.)
I literally had the same thought about watermelon the other day. It's the only thing I love about summer. I hate summer slightly less, and definitely have less anxiety in the heat since going on antidepressants. But watermelon is really the only thing I truly love about summer. 🍉

I cancelled after June and had to contact support (I used twitter) to request cancelation since they never did send the email. I did go on a bit of a rant as to why I canceled and somehow support took that to mean I didn't get my June bag and sent out a second bag before I could reply. I'm just facepalming at their stellar support
I canceled Ipsy many years ago, can’t remember how much I was paying every month but I really never liked the products they were sending to me like nude lipsticks all the time and the little bag it was cute but too small and why would I need so many little bag’s anyway? With those 15 bucks I can buy something I really need or want.
Especially since you can get basically the same samples from sephora for free. I canceled ipsy several years ago, when it was still $10, I cancelled because I was only getting hair and skin care when I only wanted makeup

They ran out of things I ordered and sent comparable products. They won’t refund you. So why have add ons to pick what you want, I’m not happy.

With my job, I can tell you, there is absolutely no reason for multimillion dollar companies to raise their prices in the way they have. The company I work for has already seen three increases, upwards of fourteen percent per increase, from several major brand names since the beginning of year. They use fuel, shipping and lack of employees as their excuse. The company I work for has chosen not to increase profit and is a baby compared than those major corporations and is still functioning. The increases will not decrease once things flatten out, they've found their excuse to increase profit over forty percent.
As a member of the purple is our favorite color nation, yes we are very passionate about our love of purple. And will be very vocal about it. Purple is a way of life and life style. It is not for everyone. 💜💜💜💜
This is why I love just buying the makeup I know I'm going to love instead of wasting money on subscription boxes. Every once in a while I'll open something on my TH-cam channel, but mostly I want to use what I already have. I love working on my project panning. These sub services take your money and send you things you don't want or won't use.
Not gonna lie, I love the small references to random music, movies, and TV shows you manage to drop in almost every video. Todays Harry Potter reference was from one of my favorite scenes of all time. 🥰

As a Canadian, I already pay an additional $3 USD for shipping tax and now they are adding this $2 charge. Once you trade it over to CND I'm paying $25 bucks for my ipsy. Not to mention they are missing half my add on products every month for about two years (I'm not kidding) and my bags always arrive at least a full month late. 😣 Also, Canadians can't purchase from the website deals or receive Glam Bag Plus or Glam Bag X.

I love that you give your honest opinion about all the things Ipsy related. One thing I will note is that the Glam Bag Plus only gives 5 full-size items for $28+S&H, and while it is still a better deal than Glam Bag, I feel like all of these new fees are getting out of hand for everything.
And I don’t know about you, but my glam bag plus bags are now starting to be repeats. My July bag is all repeats.
My bag is now over $16 after taxes. It’s been $14.10 for awhile before that, and $13.01 before that. That’s a lot of increases. I actually use to receive two Glam bags but I canceled my second one a couple of months ago.
Oh, and I super jealous you received the silver eye pencil! I wanted that so bad. I was disappointed that it wasn’t in add ons. Those are really nice pencils.

These subscription boxes right now, whether they are make up or clothes, are like a luxury. Times are tough for some people right now, and the price of gas eventually makes EVERYTHING go up because things need to be shipped to places. Personally, I have decided this is a great time to be a minimalist. And, I love Alexandria’s videos!
The Glam Plus is about $30 now, ($28 plus tax & the $1.99 shipping fee) when they were $25 originally, w/ free shipping. Im not sure why they're putting a shipping fee, like mentioned, they arent hurting for cash. They're just being greedy at this point. Glam X is almost $60. I cant lol.

I’ve been debating canceling for soooo long. I always end up getting one product I really like and is technically more expensive than the bag itself but then I have like 4 products I don’t really care about. In my opinion the only box worth it anymore is the Glam Bag X but to even get it you still have to get the crappy small ones to stay on the wait list.
The glam bag X is getting just like everything else. It’s getting more and more skincare heavy and brands I’ve never heard of or care to use. The first 2 were awesome though!!!
Ipsy started out at $10.00 then $12.00 and now I read it’s $16.00. So glad I got out before prices went up.

I resubscribed to the Ipsy Glam Bag Plus in May and have had _so many_ issues ever since! I only got my May bag yesterday (the 30th of _June_ ) and my June bag a few days before that. The June bag arrived with all my choices and add-ons, but the May bag was full of stuff I didn't choose and most of it unusable to me (my sister got all of that stuff!) They did send me a couple of free gifts with each bag as an apology (a contour palette and a battery-operated face scrubber...thing), so I'm giving them one more month and then I'll decide if I should cancel. I was really happy with my June bag, though. Definitely cancelling if they raise prices again; nobody can afford that right now!
I briefly had Ipsy in 2017 and didn’t receive my first month’s bag for over 3 months. Every bag’s tracking number didn’t work so I had no idea where they were and after the first one they consistently arrived 1-2 weeks later than the end of their month. Every bag I got had complexion products that were too dark for me too so after 4 months of chaos and let down I unsubscribed. They ended up still charging me for 2 more bags after I got confirmation I’d unsubscribed. Luckily I’d been paying through PayPal and got my money back.
This is to say that I’m sad to see at least some of their issues are still happening 5 years later, and be careful if you do decide to cancel it

Ganymede is one of Jupiter's moons. There is such a thing as a rose apple, which is actually in the guava family. Apparently they have a texture like a soft apple and taste slightly floral.
Everything's going up. I don't do make up (I just love watching you do it so I don't have to!) but I do get a couple of art subscription boxes - both very small companies at least - and we're already on our second price raise for the year. It's still cheaper than buying the products in them separately but it's getting closer now.

Cute to see NOMAD doing singles for these boxes. It’s an INCREDIBLE formula and very, very pretty purple-was one of my top eyeshadow palettes last year. I definitely recommend it to folks who are interested in the color story… that said, I think you probably got the most accessible shade for you, Alexandria.
Hydrocolloid patches for your guests. I just discovered them. They're a LIFE changing product. And I have HORRIBLY sensitive skin. I can brush a tear from my cheek and my skin will turn red and be dry af by the next morning in that exact spot.

I’m also allergic to my tears. My skin goes red, my eyes burn and thus send out more tears… ugh. Look into Mast Cell Activation Syndrome if you haven’t already. I’m “allergic” to many things that never made sense, until we realised it was my body reacting to histamines.

Honestly 10 dollars was still a stretch to me when you aren't choosing the products and getting mostly samples... although I guess the element of surprise was a factor. When I bought the qvc advent calendar years ago I paid 60 bucks and got 24 items that were valued 5-15 dollars each...so well worth your money and I found products I love and still use today! Still had the elements of surprise and the products were good quality...not just any random brand.

I'm so glad you made this video!! I've been following Michelle Phan for what, 13+ years? so obviously when she made an affordable beauty subscription I was ALLL over it when it first dawned. Seeing the price rise over the years as well as the recent content farm that are IPSY's YT Shorts has made me sooo so so sad. Michelle deserves a better team.

There was value in the bag when I would get a full sized eyeliner or lipstick almost every month for 10 bucks, plus other cool items.

I keep reminding myself that the annual renewal is in September. I also plan on cancelling. You got more makeup in each of your bags than I've seen in forever. I also ended up with the lip stuff, it's very grainy. It's a shame because it use to be a fun pick me up each month.

I was subscribed when they where still $10 and then briefly when they where $12. I generally liked what I got but once I stopped I realized I now have a TON of makeup that I barely wear anymore :') Especially with covid stuff giving me no reason to bother, I am also stuck with all these gotdamn BAGS I don't know what to do with. When they where still $10 I think it was a pretty good deal, you where guaranteed one full sized item that was basically the value of your bag but for $15 I could go to Walmart and buy all full sized products that I pick myself and know I actually want.

I just want to say I went to Sephora 2 days ago, inside of Kohl's tbh, it just opened in my local area. I was checking out and asked the very sweet woman working there about how it is they have facial skin care there on sample display but its hard to really try it out. She packed me up a lil sample to go home with!!! I've been to Sephora many times before and never really thought to ask nor had this been offered before when I have asked questions about a product. I used to love a full face of makeup. Now that I am a lil bit older I am really in to skin care and just some subtle eye makeup on occasion. I have been very curious about Fenty's skin care line and I got a little capsule of the Fat Water to try out. I was so happy and pleasantly suprised. So in case anyone else didn't know you can do this now ya do if you see this ❤

.I have been with Ipsy since 2016. I was told there was a supply issue with the May bag and that I could purchase it with points(which they gave me just to use on the bag) i was satisfied at first until the sudden notice of a 1.99 s/h fee. I thought after that it was time to say goodbye and after chatting with the Glambot and it misunderstanding me they finally cancelled my subscription and I guess it is happening a lot and they are use to it because they didn't even care I was cancelling.
I love that you name your pimples😂 we’ve all had them we all get them and I’m 66 years old! They always seem to come at the worst times two ha ha. My daughter had a lot of troubles and she started taking skin hair nails supplement and then organic co-op here in Boise. She hasn’t had trouble with them since and I don’t know the name of it. I canceled Boxy months back and kept skipping my Ipsy plus. I’ve only bought the reg glam bag and skipped at least one of them. The price increases bothered me after they bought out Boxy. Money is tight now so I actually think it’s not smart to keep increasing prices now…not that they will be hurt by it, but I truly think they will not profit as much as they would if they’d treated their consumers better. We loved Ipsy and boxy. Ik so many of us miss getting our boxes monthly, but I got tired of being disappointed.
I got the basic bag for 3 months this spring cuz I missed the makeup bag they include - they're always so cute! But I didn't really want a bunch of samples again (altho there were a couple I was glad to be able to try). I didn't have any trouble cancelling. Easy as pie within my account on the site and I haven't seen any charges since then that they shouldn't be charging.
(edit: Ganymede is a satellite of Jupiter; he was also a beautiful young Greek hero (this is waaaay back in the day, mind) kidnapped to serve as Zeus's cup bearer in Olympus. That Zeus he was a...something all right.)
I literally had the same thought about watermelon the other day. It's the only thing I love about summer. I hate summer slightly less, and definitely have less anxiety in the heat since going on antidepressants. But watermelon is really the only thing I truly love about summer. 🍉
Not gonna lie the Ganymede commentary made me chuckle as it is, in fact, the name of one of Jupiter's moons (you may have heard of a famous astronomer, Galileo, who observed them at length and made numerous discoveries about this moon and others...basically revolutionized astronomy at the time).

I canceled Ipsy many years ago, can’t remember how much I was paying every month but I really never liked the products they were sending to me like nude lipsticks all the time and the little bag it was cute but too small and why would I need so many little bag’s anyway? With those 15 bucks I can buy something I really need or want.

My electrolocist told me to use witch hazel after shaving to avoid those inflamed spots. Just make sure you are not allergic.
