Marvellous. I played you in Gibraltar in 2011, two years after that game. You were 8 years old (I was 47!). My ELO was 1470 and you still had no rating. You played some great moves - I won in the end but I remember having a very hard battle and having to sacrifice the exchange in the middlegame to break through. I remember telling my friends afterwards that I had just played a child who showed great promise and how right I was. Wonderful to see you doing so well as a streamer - your passion for the game (and for life itself) is obvious to all.

@K GC it's almost certainly true, there are very few FIDE rated tournaments, its a pretty small world. Thats why at the tournament in Iceland a few weeks ago Botez, Cramling, and Rosen were all there, even though it seems wierd that 3 of them independently would go. And the details are pretty specific

@@SpozlarWhat part is he lying about you think? You can just check the part about Denis O'Connell playing Anna in 2011. This was an official tournament, so you can just check online. So that part is true.
This young lady has a very healthy mental attitude. She can laugh at her childhood and share those memories with others. Credit that to having great parents! Not just in the past, but they are still there for her and supporting her in her adult life. Anyone who has seen the videos of her with her parents will understand. Thanks Anna!
Yea she has so much energy. It's so entertaining watching her narrate her parents game. Amazing family dynamic
@@karlwithak. With all of her so called privileges, she doesn't act like a snob. She is a good promoter of chess, especially to women. She could, though, introduce her opponents and have them talk about the game. That would make her videos more interesting.

@@amidpoofyea cause magnus is incredibly talented, that's why he was the world champion and is still number 1 in rating also im fairly certain he was 13 not 6
Over time, Anna Cramling definitely grew on me because she's just so fun and entertaining, but I also definitely think I had been watching so far because I wanted to see what a good and happy family actually looks like.
I think it's really impressive that you went from being down a knight and bishop to just getting into a position where you had mate in 1, mate in 2 positions repeatedly. Being 6 years old is a pretty solid excuse for missing the checkmates...I certainly would not have been able to play that strongly at that age, and I probably still can't do it today!
Already had that sweet friendly smile even back then.
To be fair , if Anna had seen those checkmates at 6 , most probably we would have had somebody who would surpass Judith Polgar and possibly world champion .
I really enjoy your willingness to show how you began! It is a great testimony for how far you have come with your chess and I think this was a very inspirational and transparent experience to share and your joy and enthusiasm for chess is contagious!

Your parents look really proud in that picture. And rightly so, you playing in a tournament like that at such an age was something for them to be proud of!

Really great for a 6 year old. The “never move f6” general rule is a good nugget to remember also. I just played f6 in a game today and was checkmated in 11 moves! I’m 41 years old too lol

I tend to like my bishop at F6 instead.

you're very correct; that was a crazy game & so many chances for checkmate and surpassed them all made for tremendous entertainment - remember you're only six with all these opportunities so that's cool to witness. Wonderful to be young!

I learned how to play at 7, And believe me, 6Yr Old Anna was better than 16yr old BB. Sure you missed some things, but I think it was very impressive how well you could calculate so young.
I love how the engine is a rollercoaster on this game with so many mates missed and blenders! Feels like my games ahahahahah!
Even at that age chess made you SOOO happy! I can recognize you by the smile alone!

That's amazing XD I can just imagine the proud face of making that check with the queen while staring straight at a rook XD I will say, I only started playing a few months ago and I've noticed the more experience I get the less tunnel visioned I become, it is really interesting and has helped me think a little differently in real life as well. Thanks Anna, I hope you have an amazing year (you should visit Washington state one day, it's very beautiful)

Great picture and story. My oldest chess pic is when I was like 4 or 5. Playing the old man. The knight is bigger then my hand. I have a raggedy Ann doll. Glasses with no lens. You can see my staring at my dad's castle. Thinking kill kill kill

Pretty cool, good play for a 6 year old!
6 years old, 1st OTB tournament play against an adult chess player. Remarkable chess for any kid in those circumstances. Did get a kick out the idea of checking your opponent with your pawn - I can see the glee in that, though missing the checkmate with a more obvious piece.
Her opponent was 12 or 13 (see the pinned comment at the top).
