Well Garry was his master when he was a kid (don’t know if master is the right word but the concept is there)
@@ROBERTORRRR1 Chess idol?
@@no1x945 Not really, he meant Garry was his tutor for a time.
@@jonathanandrianavalona5384 was he? because i heard that garry offered magnus to tutor him but magnus declined, I may be wrong but that's what i heard.
@@no1x945he didn't decline, kasparov trained magnus a lil bit, it's just that magnus didn't like kasparov's teaching and it didn't last long
You interviewed him so well. You asked great questions. Magnus seemed to enjoy the questions. You listened intently to his answers rather than interrupting like some interviewers. We absolutely loved the interview. Well done Sir. 🤛
Can’t believe he met the goat, this must be a big day for Magnus

Levy you're basically the emperor of chess at this point and we all love you for it
Gothamchess: What's your drink of choice?
Magnus: Water (secretly thinking beer)
Legit. Respect for Levy’s talent as an interviewer, and props to Magnus for going through with it.
Very nice interview, lovely to see you being recognised in chess circles for all you do. You single-handedly got me back into the game and keep me in it.
That was so much fun to watch :) I love when someone famous like magnus gets asked just normal everyday questions so we can learn more about them as a person and not just a player.
It was nice of Levi to give this up and coming player a spotlight on his channel. Hopefully this will be a kickstart to this Magnus Carlsen's career in the future.
Magnus delivering the coldest line like "These fools could never make me stress".
Magnus saying "that's a really good question" was a brilliant move for Levy
To be fair, I literally would not know about Magnus without Levy. Like many others, I started chess a few years ago and Levy is the window to the world. Thanks, man!
Yea , he’s been my intro to the chess world…so Lowkey the jokes aren’t really jokes fr
As a chess player who has been playing longer than Levy has been alive, what you just said sounds literally bat shit crazy but I'm happy you found your entry niche.
@@c2c001 lol how is it crazy though ? I feel like Gotham has been a big part in the chess boom. He came out at the perfect time with the queens gambit show and he’s the most accessible TH-camr for chess.
The hero Gotham deserves, and the one he needs right now.

Crazy how one of the most influential chess players is here. And also Magnus
