I don't have a list because I've only owned and used one player, which is the Victrola 8-in-1 (in the Mahogany finish). And I've been loving it. I hear all these stories about people and their players not working anymore, but so far I've had no problems.
The rega P1 is a fantastic machine, though mine seems to be buzzing at high volumes from a grounding issue. It's been reviewed much better than the Project. I did a small upgrade to the carbon stylus with an lp gear elliptical stylus, which is a direct fit to the at3600, which is basically the rega carbon. It's improved the sound, which was already good.
I'm looking to buy my first turn table. Im looking to be at or around $100 ish. What's going to be the best bang for my dollar? I tried to do my own research but the reviews are all over the place for each player. One guy says it's fabulous and the next guy says it's junk. Can you recommend a decent quality player? Definitely under $150
Huskers, You want quality for low cost, tHE Bang for your buck is, Buy a Used Turntable, you will get the quality, like Technics, turntables, pioneer, Sony, the 70's and 80's used turntables are best, as they will continue to work, I have no interests in the new JUNK.
Does the Victrola still work after a year of use because I've heard people say the 8 in 1 stops after a year but not sure about the 6 in 1,also been bingewatching your videos to see what record player to upgrade to so thank u😂
I think these are all good but I don't know if I can believe victrola players or any player with a ceramic cartridge have any quality. My first record player was a crosley with a ceramic cartridge that I got for free and it was good enough to get me interested in collecting records as a hobby, but I was happy to hear the jump in quality when I bought one with a magnetic cartridge.
I love the victrola players for an all in one unit. My first record player was one of those "close and play" machines that I got for Christmas back around 1968!
I’ve been hearing HORRIBLE things about the crosley suitcase record player so I didn’t want it anymore and one of my friends said that victrola was good so I’m thinking about getting “the Brooklyn” but people are also saying that the all in one record players aren’t good and they don’t have the best sound quality and that it’s better to buy everything separately but I’m asking for a record player for Christmas and I know my mom can’t afford all these separate things so I’m kinda in a loop and I’m not sure what to do at this point idk if people are just bad mouthing brands because they hear other people doing it or if they actually know what they’re taking about so IF you see this do u think u can help me out it would mean so much 😭
I never had a record player before and going to buy a very first one! I’m hesitating to buy either audio technica l60 or victrola 6 in 1 mid century. Which one do you recommend? And I know that audio technica l60 has a better sound quality, but is it a huge difference from victrola 6 in 1?
Looking to purchase the 6 in 1 Mid century or the Navigator 8 in 1 by Victrola... when it comes to sound quality, which do you think is the winner? I have watched both of your videos, but cannot decide! lol Thanks for posting!
I am thinking about buying the Victrola wood cabinet 6 in 1. Is this the unit you first mentioned in your video and what do you think of it? Also, does the new midcentury 6 in 1 you first mentioned has the same electrical components and size speakers as the wood cabinet style Victrola 6 in 1?
Quick question are you still enjoying the U-turn orbit plus? I've been looking around to step up from the current record player I have and I love the people behind the brand and all that and how the price is not too high. Love how thorough and honest your reviews are!
Thank you for asking - I love the U-turn! In fact I have another U-turn review coming up shortly. Stay tuned for that. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Is a Kenmore record player any good? Looking to buy one but the seller is saying it turns on but the turn table doesnt turn... is it an easy fix? Worth buying ??? Please help?
@@Recordology well I've been looking around for vintage cabinet looking record players and that one only problem is that the turn table turns on but doesnt spin...

Hey there. What about turntables like these turntables that can be hooked up to one of your computer's usb ports so that you can digitize your vinyl record albums on programs like Audacity? :) I actually own of those usb type turntables myself. :) What do you think about those turntables? :) Do you think they would also be good turntables to have? :)
Good question! Yes I think those are great. I was just using the Crosley DJ100 Direct Drive USB TT last night to make an mp3 transfer with Audacity. Very fun stuff. I did a show on that some time ago (How to restore a record in 15 minutes.) Merry Christmas!
Im really liking this Crosley C100 It reminds me of the technics that was all the rave in the 90’s (last time I owned a record player.) 2 questions please!: Can I add/or does it come with a clear top “I’m amazed to see how many don’t nowadays!” 2nd: I seen a picture of a turntable who’s turning platform was lit up! A beautiful lime green light ! 😁 Is this a specific type of player or possibly just some kind of aftermarket customization flair you think ?
I'm wondering if you think I should upgrade my turntable. I have a kenwood kd67f. T4p cartridge. I really like it. It sounds fine. Works great. But is there anything that will give a better sound? I have been looking at the crosley c6,c8,c200. Flurance rt81 also the atlp3. I would love a lp120. But the only downside to some of those is I really like the automatic function of my turntable. So is it worth buying a new unit or should I just upgrade the stock cartridge and that might give me what I'm looking for?
nice selection of affordable record players! those victrolas look pretty fun. thanks for the info, I have a technics sl-bd20d turntable that I have had for almost 20 years and a Jensen jta-230 record player with pitch control and an old bsr 25cx McDonald turntable which I use in my bedroom. if I had to get another one I would probably go with the Victrola 50s retro. rob

Any machine with any brand name attached to it that gets people interested in vinyl once again works for me. Fluance is the brand name for me. The RT 81 is one beautiful turntable at an affordable price. Nice job.
Panasonic SD 850 1973-76 fully- auto changer w adapter Panasonic SL models-77-84 3 speeds. Any console stereo brand from the 1960s, RCA Folding portable stereos 70's, a Radio station broadcasting style 3 speeds turntables 12-16 in. size .
Excellent presentation, thumbs up, Record-ology. I like the Crosley C8; may buy the C6A-WA, with walnut finish. These turntables have a good tonearm, and a phono cartridge of a high caliber compared to the Audio Technica LP60, and others in that price range, and capability. Not criticizing it, I prefer a decent, upscale phono cartridge that has an elliptical stylus, or at least a conical stylus that's engineered well. Thanks for the information on the Crosley C8.
Any turntable with a magnetic cartridge will give more detail. The Crosley Cologne sadly seems to be the only full on 60's retro looking turntable to have that feature.
@@Recordology I guess on the sl-1200 hard to find for under 500 now..but the fluance rt-81/82 is under 300$ and really should be looked at for a first buyer

I know a couple of my 'top' record players are gonna generate some hate, but here goes... Uturn Orbit Audio Technica LP60 Magnavox Micro-Matic W620 (also some love for the W718) BSR C131 (modded a bit) Fisher 2-speed, (early 1980s, model unknown), adapted for portable use.

What about entry level turntables by brands like Rega or Project?
I'm sure they are very good - I just haven't had an opportunity to personaly use them yet. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Damn debating among victorla, AT lp60 and Crosley c8. You sell them all so well lol 🤦🏻♀️
The Victrola 6 in 1 .. are there diamond stylus available for the unit? It should improve the sound and better for the records.
There is but only difference will be needle longevity.
video still helping me in 2020 lol :D appreciate it

Thinking of getting the Victrola mid century 6 in 1 mid century, wondering how long have you had it and do you still love it?
I've had it since this video - very good unit. I have it in my bedroom and use it often!
None of these Victoria combo record players have any longevity. Ours broke 1 year almost to the day we got it.
I love this man and his opinions, one of the only ones to put newcomers at ease

It is pretty considerable if connected to large speakers - otherwise not a huge difference.
