About how long does your morning time last each day?

Really like that you haven’t scrapped group learning completely even though you have older kiddos. Every year changes but I think coming together for at least one subject is awesome

I love the reminder to "shop your own shelf" for homeschool curriculum. I don't always get to everything and then move on to other things. I forget what I have!
Also I'm going to look into tgtb mental health. Sounds really good! Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you for sharing! Always love to see what you are using. Would you consider doing a video about the logistics of how you do your “school day” when your kids start using different curriculums? Do they strictly do it on their own or do you rotate to each of them to help them or do some things with them? I also have 4 kids and I feel like I can’t always get the flow down in who to help when, etc. A practical guide with all your homeschooling wisdom would be awesome! 💕

We went through Creation and Bable from Ken Ham this year. We went through it slow. It was so packed full of information and really helped our seeping understanding of the theological foundation of Genesis. I can’t wait to hear how you like it.

We have loved Notgrass! Our girls will be doing Exploring America for 11th and Exploring World History for 9th , which my oldest enjoyed this year!
We’ve enjoyed Not Consumed as well.

Love these picks! I have 2 boys - a 15 y.o. and a 12 y.o., and I chose Exploring America for the older and America the Beautiful for the younger. They don’t coincide perfectly, but close enough that it will work out with Notgrass’ homeschool history videos I’m hoping to include. I love watching this progression and change in your homeschool. It gives me ideas and encouragement.

Can’t wait to hear about your thoughts on Notgrass History! We’re trying Our Star Spangled Story for my rising 4th grader. She’ll do it semi-independently. 😊

I love doing family time with my children and wouldn’t had started if not for you! ❤️

I would love for you to come back at the end of the school year in 2024 and let us know how you liked the Tuttle Twins. We love the Tuttle Twins history books, kids books and magazine but I have heard iffy things on those particular Tuttle Twins - I bought them but put them away for my 13 year old until I learn more. And since I trust your recommendations I would love to hear what you thought.

Just wondered what age you have found the 24 family ways to be best to start at? 😊 We have the book and I love the idea and it has worked a little for mine (8 & 5) but not quite how I thought and I wondered if you'd tried it with older/younger ages and found it to be better? 😊

We loved Adam to Us last year! Just finished up Uncle Sam and You with three of our boys and our 12th grade daughter did the Govt/Economics this year-so good! We read Candymakers a few years ago and enjoyed it, started the second one and just couldn't get into it, we should pull it back out. Also, I still do read alouds every day with my toddler-12th grader, best part of our morning. Highly recommend How I Became a Spy, we finish it tomorrow-so good.

I’m so appreciative to you for all these insightful videos. Thank you so much for taking the time to post them. We have grown along side your recommendations and have been thrilled with the results. Having to change our rhythm we finally had embraced using TGTB to a new high school rhythm was definitely a challenge. I’m So thankful to have had you to glean from thank you so much Ashley.

Thanks for the recommendations! I want to get the Jesus Freaks one, partly because the founders of VOM, Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand, were family friends and we all survived communism in Europe (Romania). Some things are very difficult to talk about, as many memories are painful and caused trauma, but the book still looks very interesting. Do you think it's for teens?

My 10th grader did Notgrass this year and it went well, but even though we have done Bible, discussions, and devotions together she has felt a bit isolated this year from the rest of us who are learning history together. We used TGTB history year one and really like it. It apparently can be used for highschool too, so I was considering adding my highschool daughter with us for next year. I’m curious as to why you chose to go the independent route this year and what you thought of TGTB as a whole since you completed all four years. Ty!

  • @L--C

When your high school aged kids sit in on the unit study picks, like the mental health one, do you award any sort of credits for their transcripts? I have had my eye on a few of tgtb units -particularly the health related ones - and I am trying to decide if it could be robust enough, when grouped together, to award a full or half credit for high school.

I’d like to know too 🤗 I know you said you don’t do it all every day so just curious how you loop through it. New homeschool mom trying to get a handle on the specifics/logistics. I have a lot younger kiddos but definitely want to incorporate a “morning basket” style start to our day.
