    Divuri is pretty frustrating with all the bugs and with how much content is locked behind it. Now with nightwave being with divuri as well with frames and incarnons locked behind it. I do hope they fix issues that new players like myself had to go through with divuri and railjack being required to complete the game and get to end game. Needs to be fixed badly if they want a good new player experience

    Well just 2 points
    All characters are fictional children's book characters meant to teach how feelings work in order to control then, Thrax is very active in the spirals because he IS YOU, you must take control of your emotions, thats what the quest is about.
    2- after the operator is sent to the void in the new war, he is then took by it and changes bodies with his older self of another paradox dimension called the drifter, we continue playing thinking that years has passed when was just a couple of weeks. The drifter and the operator find themselves and then we know that he was a paradox created after the deal with the man in the wall for the survival of the kids, later known as tenno. The paradox exists because in the dimension the deal was not made, your operator was locked in his bedroom reading the duviri tales for keeping his feelings alive and then the void took the child to a "Safer" place, where it grew up in relative "peace" and became the drifter.

      This. However, it is still an issue that it's presented in a really confusing and unclear way. Players have to do some real digging of lore in multiple places around the game and wikia to understand all of that, when a couple of simple narrative tweaks here and there would've made the lore presented in Duviri a lot more easy to understand while still remaining impactful.
      I also think one of the biggest mistakes DE made was making the access point way too early. Duviri is best explored after the Second Dream, because exploring it earlier than that is not just massively confusing (mechanically and narratively) but also the impact and mystery of learning that the warframes are not just suits of armor and how transference works in Second Dream is spoiled by the Drifter unceremoniously transfering into a frame for Undercroft tutorial gameplay.

      @@Maverick2736 The New War explains this.
      Both the Drifter and the Operator are Eternalism given form in the game, as a consequence of the Void and Wally interacting with the Operator.
      Because he got rescued, the Drifter had to stay in Duviri, and with no Void powers, because Wally never showed up to offer him a deal.

    • @Toughbiscuit_
      @Toughbiscuit_ 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The operator and drifter are the same person, existing in the same universe, at the same time, and able to interact with eachother/themselves.
      The operator took the deal, the drifter did not. Their simultaneous existence in tandem is the paradox, with the existence of duviri being a consequence of that paradox

    just a thought 1:55 lore wise it makes sense,
    another thing is some people play duviri because they like the gamemode
    and locking it behind the main questline wouldn't really sit well with people that want to play a roguelike warframe
    as they don't want to play 20-30ish hours to unlock it

    • @MuchVery
      @MuchVery  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the problem is that it being available at the start means new players don't really know what to expect from the rest of the game. Playing both Quests at the start mean that you dedicate equal amounts of time to normal Warframe and Duviri, even though that isn't the case in the long term.

      @@m3rc3d35b3nc No I agree, i just think it comes in just a little bit too early. I think the success of what was their first open world might have been what changed their priorities. Covid also apparently caused them to lower their scope... I really enjoyed new war when it released, but after watching others play it a few times, I like the second half of it less and less. I played Duviri on release and probably enjoyed it less than any other story mission. Fortunately they've kinda nailed the Zariman and the whispers quest as it's basically lore we've been waiting literal years to see in game.

  • @-GuessMyName
    @-GuessMyName 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I view Duviri as a time paradox - without the events of New War, the Drifter would've had no way out, no way to help, and the fact the Void doesn't have its sense of "time" travel parallel to what occurs outside only adds to it.
    Duviri is capable of repeating infinitely, and Uncle Teshin exists in it even "before" his death outside, while maintaining memories of events that led up to it. We even received help from an Operator that hasn't met us yet, which means the helper in question is also at an entirely different point in time, after having encountered us!
    I'm a nut for time shenanigans, but I'll admit that Duviri would've given me a larger headache if not for Eternalism being the building block of the Void - since all possibilities can be realized, that leaves the possibility for alternate void guns and void gun skins on the table!

    I feel like I could say the same thing with the rest of the game. Truth is, almost all of depth of warframe is poured into the pre mission stuff (modding,operator schools, companion, helminth, shards..etc) but when it comes to the mission it’s pretty repetitive (and like you said not in a good way). I’m a MR20 player, and expect for level cap void cascade, netracells, deep archmedia, and the occasional duviri run (whether it’s SP circuit, or in the open world), I almost do nothing in this game. Ffs coming up with builds for Void cascade is more fun than running void cascade itself.

    • @MuchVery
      @MuchVery  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Missions can be fun, it usually depends on what frame and weapons you bring, but you’re pretty much right. Things can get incredibly repetitive, and the challenge can become something as arbitrary as doing bigger numbers than the enemy. There’s definitely room for a larger call for mechanical skill.

      For a short while, I'm convinced Warframe needs a remaster. New tilesets, game-wide polish, bug fixes, systems made consistent, the works. Sometimes it feels like with each new update, despite the fact that said update usually brings incredible content, the game undergoes growing pains. It's been going strong for 11 years, maybe stopping and going back over Warframe so far would be good.

    I really hope they revisit Duviri when they explore the Drifter's escape, as I'm pretty burnt out after 3 months of grinding Duviri on release for Incarnons.
    I'm literally sitting on 4 Incarnon Adapters ready to be installed on their Prime weapons; but, I'm reluctant to go farm more Pathos Clamps anymore.
    The Oroworms more often than not are a slog to go through, as most selections won't be capable of bursting down each gate without the Pity Imperator.
    Just like Deep Arch, the randomized loadouts can be fun, but makes the content a chore to do when you get a terrible selection on all frames and weapons WITHOUT a re-roll that Decrees enjoy.
    Even with all frames maxed and forma'd for 2-hour SP survivals, in addition to 10 years of weapons to choose from, it is legitimately painful when RNGesus gives you a selection of Stug-level weapons to challenge content that Warframes are gimped on.

    Great video! appreciated you bringing in the early duviri trailers, which was helpful context I'd never paid attention to.
    I think my only disagreements with the video are 1. Constant access to a full arsenal of primary and secondary weapons feels to me like it would just make drifter feel like "a warframe who can't jump", with power strikes and kaithe riding not being enough to differentiate duviri gameplay from regular warframe gameplay. Maybe transferrence surge could be expanded upon, maybe the same "power strike bar as super meter" could be used to, say, spend 1/3 meter to pull your warframe's primary instead of the sirocco for one magazine, etc. That being said I don't hate the idea, it just stood out to me as I'm 100% on board with the rest of the video. Disagreement #2 is just that I like hearing Euleria Entrati ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
    RE: the paradox, I've also come to the conclusion that "the paradox", if any, is the bootstrap paradox kicked off by Eidolon Lotus' hand. That the drifter escapes duviri because of what happens in the origin system, which is only possible because of the drifter, etc. etc. It's clear that "the paradox" such as it is isn't clearly defined in the narrative imo, other than "it's a time loop" or "how can duviri exist whoa"....
    Actually. The other bootstrap paradox of duviri *might* be that duviri was created by the conceptual embodiment of the drifter's trauma aboard the Zariman, thus in linear time could only have been created *after* the industrialization of void travel, but that there's evidence that Albrecht Entrati has visited duviri (most clearly in his notes released in the Whispers update). I don't know the old war timeline too well, but I feel like that would have had to have been before the void jump incident, so perhaps "the paradox" is that the creation of the islands of duviri in the void was outside of linear time; once they were made, they have always been there, back at least long enough for Albrecht the first voyager to visit them. Either way, unlikely to be fully intended, but fun to think about :3

      I'm don't recall any events that suggest the Drifter had any involvement in the series of events leading up to The New War. I may have missed something, but I'm pretty sure the Drifter remained in their own Duviri / no-Void-power timeline until The New War itself.

    This is 30 minutes so not a "flaw" range of complaints. How long was your script? 9 pages? I'll get a complaint for typing 1 paragraph.
    1) stealth yes, 2) removing the circuit parts, no but make them the final2 missions. 3)party fixes yes, 4) range V melee build issues make decrees give same buff to both, but at 1/8th the value (a straight up nerf, IE fire gives fire, double melee hit gives +1 multishot, rolling reload gives heal on roll). As a general whole game fix all bosses should be able to take ability damage and die primarily due DOT (damage over time) from statuses having no cap on bosses. 5) Oroworm yes.
    Either way Duvri is great. Still play it every day. You can always make it harder by going directly to the oroworm fight. I did the mandatory quests on SP and went straight to the oroworm and the fight took around an hour. So, I stopped doing that and streamlined the process for an efficient farm.
