- Final push this week to wrap up @CleetusM 69 Camaro to get it to powder coat early next week. Eagle is looking more and more like a race car with carbon body panels going on and headers getting completed.

If we make our goal who are we going to see at World Cup Finals?
Would be awesome to pop over from Scotland see you guys 👍
I'll be there because I'm going to be in Virginia to see my son
Eagle and Leroy in stick shift
Wish I could, but pissed I'm gonna be away working.
What size and material are the header pipes Cameron?
Thx for the upload.
Cleetus probably lol
The lav mics are a big upgrade for the channel, well worth it - thank you!
How y’all don’t have way more subscribers is beyond me. Keep it coming. I can’t get enough of this content.
It's niche content, just the way it goes.
@@ctransport5277 we are going to keep it going 💪🏻
Yep they arent doing a bunch of shenanigans like ckeetus, i only watch to pick up fabrication tips and ideas.@@--_DJ_--
They will. Sometimes YT doesn't help some channels out as much, but this channel will get there for sure. YT can't stop them. :)
TH-cam is a big place these days.
How many shops just fill that with weld and move onto the next cylinder? Just about all of em, the level of precision y'all work on is admirable.
And that’s one of the reasons you see them breaking. These guys actually care about the quality of their work.
That's why they are comfortable charging for what they're worth, and people are comfortable paying it. Just top notch.
@@Shakeysmoker1to be honest, when they talked about price a while ago, I was surprised it wasn’t more!
Was thinking the exact same thing. Some of the best work I’ve seen
Ya no shit im sure mine were filled with weld they look awesome but hold them up together and probably mine looks like shit
Thank goodness. I was starting to have fab withdrawal.
😅
Me too!
Me three. Started shaking a little bit and knew I needed some CJRC vibes.
Wow cleet is gonna get a quality built car yall don't cut corners in any way love seeing that. Appreciate you sharing this build with us
I am admittedly no expert, but this is the cleanest work I have ever seen. Just top quality start to finish, top to bottom.
You guys are absolutely killing this build
I’m absolutely loving this build and trying to talk myself out of selling the family farm and go ahead and retire and get myself one of these go fast toys. I only offer advice when I’m reasonably sure of what I’m talking about and as an old welding engineer and boiler inspector, and a present business owner; you can save yourself a good deal of money on argon by cutting your post shield time on steel (not titanium) considerably. It’s proven that once the “puddle “ goes dark that extra coverage isn’t necessary, especially with as small of tacks they are making. A good scrub with a fire brush and you are good to go. I can’t ever remember an X-ray being rejected due to “crow footing” or cracking due to lack of post shielding. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and thought I would repay you with a little bit of mine 😂😂😂
He knows. That's why there is a running joke about the welder having shares in the welding gas supply company down the road.
Yes!!! I get so fired up when I see a new video! you guys are rocking it!
Let’s go 💪🏻
This is one of th best full out builds I've ever seen clean as hell
Let’s go 💪🏻
I've seen purpose-built show cars that weren't as flawless as this thing.
A 3D scanner and a 3D printer goes a long way to speeding up fabbing headers. Scan the turbo and head flange, model the header in Fusion/Solidworks/OnShape and then 3D print header legos to match. Mock it up to verify fit and then use the legos to template each of your cuts. I started doing that a year ago and it speeds up fabrication by 50% with almost no waste. The learning curve is in the modeling.
100%
Printing all that up really speeds it up doesn't it... Not smart
You are out of your mind you think it speeds up fabrication to print all the bullshit and scan all the bullshit
@@mushmouth Do it once and reuse them over and over again. You can pay hundreds for an ICE Engineworks pack or print them overnight and reuse them over and over and over again.
Or many years of experience.
Good thing troy is working on that body! I would hate to see about 10lbs of bondo on it from Cleet and Squirell over at Hibachi Auto
4:21 never fails. I get my senior involved and suddenly stuff works. A junior asks for my help, suddenly things make sense before I can say a word. lol
😂
Been working 4/10’s for the last 17 years and it’s the best!
Y'all's Ole timers are awesome to see doing work because they have done it so many times they have their way down pat.
Danny is the model for many of the Americans who built the US following WWII. He possesses skills that would allow him employment in many different industries. Only drawback is what toll he paid with his long term health and wellness. Most of us from Danny's age group all paid the price working hard starting out with manual labor and then dovetailing our career's into singular expertise.
All I have to say is anyone that gets a car built or work done by these guys are getting everything they paid for no matter what the price.💯
Having those sleeves or bushings to mock up the header pieces is an awesome trick. No messing around with tape
Headers are mind twisting work that need a lot of patience and foresight for accommodating components that can’t be moved and moving parts, foresight on every tube completed and their routing also with what tube in sequence with the rest must be planned out before any tube is made..even welding in individual tubes in sequence must have foresight because of clearance issues with welding torch…with all the compound of radiuses nice to have a surplus of bends with different radiuses but actually when you work with a limited amount it actually makes you better at foresight…its A challenging fabrication to say the least….been there done that…like the fab work CJRC rocks 👍🏼
I love how your master Craftsmen explain why they do what they are doing. Sharing the knowledge for future generations.
That sleeve idea is great 👌🏼 love to see a master at work.
The love for your work and the passion you put into the details is truly remarkable. Amazing work! I can't wait to see this monster on the strip.
The art of making headers......great work. It is so satisfying to see the human input, a soulful experience albeit vicariously. Well made headers are so beautiful.
The machine is starting to show its true potential now guys i'm really enjoying watching you do cleeters build.
Fingers crossed guys that it holds all that 5000HP in.
I understand how hard it is to factor all these different issues into your build and try and work them all out so it works its best your all amazing 🤯🤯
If CJ Race Cars says its record breaking. You better believe its going to do just that. World Class guys. Putting your name on it still means something to these guys. That Eagle is gonna fly.
I'm thinking record breaking cost and Garrett blowing it up in record time.
@@steveletson6616💯🎯
Good tip Danny on the block of wood for a straight cut! 👍
It's rare to find this level of care and pride in workmanship these days. Truly amazing work. "maybe off 1/16" just isn't good enough for these guys..
This is absolutely amazing! I love the attention to detail and the love !
I can only imagine how many times Cleet has been to that shop for status updates. He has his ride or die car and a car that's about to take him in a world of racing he's never explored before, all coming around the same time. I'm excited for him and the guys.
When he started with those sleeves and pipes, I had ZERO idea they were going to be GIANT header primaries 😅😳🫨🤣
4-10s for the win! The last dozen years I worked at Joes Racing Products I ran 2nd shift on 4-10s. In a shop full of racers and crew guys working Fridays really sucks, especially on swing shift!
Yall are killing it, I cannot wait to see this car in action!! May it be the most powerful hemi out there and cleetus to break all the records! Hopefully everyone has an awesome racing season!
CJRC,y'all rock! Love the process. Let's fucking gooo! Peace
Yall do an amazing job. Thank you for letting us in to see.
Love all the tips and tricks that Danny gives us!
Seeing these guys sweat every little detail that would normally go unseen is the purest demonstration of craftsmanship and pride in one's own work. It can't be understated the quality they are delivering. It is a privilege to watch and learn from these absolute masters of trade.
I’ve watched this build series from the start. And watching how you treat your guys, and how the entire teams works sound together. I’ve taken a few tricks and tips from Danny to use in my own fabrication I do daily. Just simply professional and badass!
Is Troy ok? because his always sitting down.. hopefully his in good health because his a wealth of knowledge, and I love his receiver lips/brackets he makes.🙏
Even before watching it, I smile. Just happy to see another CJRC Video...my day is much better, because I am going to learn something new! :)
Interesting how custom headers are built in 2024. Jim Liberman used to build custom headers/exhaust systems all day long at Goodies Speed in the mid '60s....he built them out of U-bends, a tube cutter, plate steel for the flanges and a gas welder. Custom headers for any car, $125 plus $1 for the tube cutter wheel.
No FN way cameron just got caught welding!!!!!! LOL.LOL.
Shhh don’t tell anyone 😅
I love how meticulous these guys are with their work! Great job!
You have some seriously skilled workers there. Compound cuts do my head in at the best of times, you can see those guys have a great grasp on where exactly each little change is going to change what. Nice to see true professionals at work.
Hi Cameron, you're blessed to have the older guys you have that bring the wisdom they have from their years of experience. In fact, the whole crew show great skills in all they do.. It blows me away the level of craftsmanship and detail you reach for in every part of all your builds. Fantastic effort on all you do, including the videos. Greetings from Perth, Western Australia.
Very lucky to have the team I have.
@@CJRaceCars A great team doesn't come together by accident. I recognize and RESPECT the continued consistent humbleness. Cameron is a stud even though doesn't try to portray himself as such.
Man I know everyone knows this but Jeez this Channel is highly underrated. Y’all up there with Cletus content. This is million subscribers content.
🙏🏻💪🏻
As a current active duty soldier who’s planning to go to trade school and open a fab shop with my buddy after I get out, yall inspire both my buddy and I so much. Every video is really in depth to your guy’s thought process behind everything, showing taking the time to do it right not rush for completion. Keep being rockstars in the field!!
Thank you for your service 🙏🏻.
Nice to see a video and progress on Eagle. Quality work takes time. Looking forward to the next one . Thanks.
THESE GUYS ARE TOP NOTCH. NO STONE LEFT UNTURED
Great team work yall!
You guys sure have it figured out. I love watching the attention to detail. It's inspiring.
The team is smashing it out
Keeping y'all in my prayers 🙏🙏🙏.. please stay healthy and blessed.. y'all are doing a great job on eagle 🦅🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
I'm getting goosebumps everytime you say "world cup" Cameron! 😂😂 can't wait to see eagle done but what will we watch you build next???
They are working on the body mounts for Leroy
Seagull
@sethwilson6380 Leroy is supposed to be at world cup as well. I was more curious what the next full car project will be. And seagull is still a shop car. That takes a back burner to big paying jobs if I'm not mistaken 🤷♂️
I'm sure It'll be another 69 Camaro..... 🤣
Those are the biggest primary tubes I've ever seen...! Wow, they're huge...!!! Thanks for sharing... Keep up your awesomeness...!
2.5” 🥵
@@CJRaceCars Holy cow...!!!
I have learned quite a few incredible fabrication tips from yall. Thank you!
It is looking perfect. You all do great work.
Love that band saw tip , thanks !
I wish, if you haven't already, gone into depth on why a 1/32 gap on the header pieces is such a big deal.
I'm not a welder, and I know this isn't farmer Billy Bob with a mig welder working on a custom L bracket for a humming bird feeder.
I'd just like a little more detail on why 1/32 seems almost sloppy.
If you have those alignment sleeves inside the tubes, why so picky on the fit? I'd think 1/16" ought to be fine.
......what am missing.
I bet you could easily do half an episode on this subject.
Tig welders might be bored, but not the test of us.
I really enjoy watching true craftsmen at work.
Your entire crew is awesome and a perfect combination of fabricators. 👍
2 months to go let’s go guys I can’t wait to see that car ripping
Nice to watch Danny's tip of his work 👍
So you use the insert to line it up then mark the the 2 pieces and remove the sleeve. Great idea. ❤
did they remove the sleeve though?
It’s always amazing how it can feel like it takes forever to get stuff done then all of a sudden heaps of little things suddenly come together and a big difference overnight.
Absolutely
so exited about this car you guys done an amazing job on eagle
9:11 ol Cheap Skate CJ. Never providing Danny with what he needs 😂
😂😂😂😂
I’m sure he gets this a lot, but I respect the hell out of Danny.
He knows exactly what he wants. Does an awesome job of explaining it.
He has the perfect tone of “I know what I’m talking about”. Just enough to make you feel 100% confident you can learn from him, but not enough to make you feel threatened and feel like he’s above the law.
Keep up the good work. The shop as a whole and especially all the OGs in there
3 minutes in, and Danny's already taught me something.
Love watching Eagle being built! Can you please never finish so that the videos never stop?! 🤣
lol we are going to keep posting on other builds and some racing 😎
I assume you take the header sleeves out before you weld?
Super bad ass craftsmanship!
Yeah they are just for mock up.
Coming along nicely 😊
I truthfully enjoy y’all’s content
The fit and finish you guys are doing is beyond compare.
Awesome episode, thanks for sharing!!
I like what you have going there. Keep posting videos, and I'll keep watching.
Let’s gooooo boys this thing is coming together!!!!
😎💪🏻
Thank you 🙏 Awesome build all of you guys are Artists love the videos 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅
TY , nice
I like a larger magnification range because the glass, eyebox and field of view at 12-16 power is better on a 5/25/6-36/7-35 than a mid power scope at maximum magnification. If that makes sense.
116k subs. Man this is awesome to see the growth of the channel and the content. I hope you guys break 200-250k by the time your finish with eagle or the body of Leroy.💯💪💪
We are trying 🙏🏻💪🏻
@@CJRaceCars You gotta admit, you're having more fun than NOT having a channel. Y'all do quality work Thanks for letting us watch.
@@ronjones-6977 we are having a blast.
Have you ever tried using those plastic lego type pieces that lock together to mock up a set of headers? Rob Dahm was using them on his channel if you haven't seen them. But they seem like a really cool idea for mocking up the bends you need without having to waste any material. They have different angle degree pieces etc.
15:45 nothing completely completed... Story of my life
Looking great guys!!! Keep up the hard work! Love the content!
Wow Cameron, first withholding the 1-1/8 notcher from Danny and now the required bent tube.... :D :D :D
Keep up the good work guys, since the start of egale your videos are defs the ones I'm always holding out to see a new one of more than any.
Can't wait to seel eagle complete, keep up the fantastic works guys 🤘
I could watch yall all day this stuff is so interesting to me
Let’s go 💪🏻
Tacking bands can be a little more fiddly than those sleeves but is a lot nicer of a result than having random sized and oriented sleeves throughout your exhaust manifold. I would’ve thought this was standard at the top of the game. Love ya work guys ❤
We don’t leave the sleeves in they are for mock up only. They get removed before welding.
@@CJRaceCars that’s awesome. I assumed you guys would have had it figured out haha.you’re all wicked at what you do and as a fabricator myself I love the content. I can’t wait to apply myself within the Motorsport fabrication world and hopefully make a positive dent in the scene here in Australia, you are all such an inspiration 😎😎
I suppose those sleeves stay in the primaries when you weld them and aren't just for mock-up. How much does the step inside the primary affect reversion? Flow as well, though I would think they're generally oversized enough relative to required flow so that it isn't as critical.
When it comes to turbo headers, particularly in tight areas, how much do you strive to make the primaries equal length and how much of an affect does unequal have on how the engine and turbos perform?
Looking forward to seeing the next Q&A on the other channel. Thanks for all the inspiration details y'all provide.
Nice work guys! Great team you have there!!!!!
Skilled hands at work
Those sleeves are pretty neat for building exhaust, I wanna try those
Can’t wait to see eagle run small and big tire class. Next thing you know cleetus goes funny car
Never know 😎
That inch and an eighth notcher is world famous. 😄😄😄💪💪👊👊
Hands down to the work you and your crew perform.
Great crew you have assembled!
love the videos!! i always catch myself looking for a video on monday😂
Nice trick about sleeves in header build. Every day is a school day.
If Danny had that notcher he’d would’ve had those headers done last week 😂😂😂
😂
Awesome work guys! Are you going to make a video of building Leroy's body frame?
We have been filming all of it. But won’t post till the end.
I first heard about you guys when you were building Justin Swanstrom's lexus. We got to see bits and pieces of that build but getting to see this one every step of the way is really cool. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for watching 💪🏻
your doing a beautiful job with Egale, watching your videos I've picked up some trick from the Boys, well done bro
hell yeah brother gotta love the toobs
