Trust me you're not alone. We are many who's nuts about dkc's soundtracks. The kind of vibe we can listen for all purposes. I've been listening to it while visiting a friend, and he was shocked how good it sounded.
Incredible work! This translated really well to a cappella. Love how you captured all the effects and nuances. Nice mixing and panning too. I wonder how feasible it would be for a group to perform this live, even a simplified version. Can you imagine?
Thank you! I think a group could feasibly perform this, although there's a ton of individual voice parts, so unless it was a massive group, it might need to be condensed down a bit for live performance. The vocal percussion would definitely need to be toned down a bit, there's way too much going on for one person!
Ahhh this is one of my favorite DKC tracks, and I absolutely love your arrangement for it! The sound effects are perfect, and the video editing for that voice is too good. The original bits starting at 2:11 are great (and I love the Bohemian Rhapsody vibes with the disembodied heads). All in all great production!

I see that your channel is still pretty small and I have to imagine that it's hard to carve out a niche here on YT in this area when Smooth McGroove exists (can't blame him for existing and being cool, of course). A VGM-licious arrangement, as always👍🏼 There're some suggestions of mine for other tracks you could also make an acapella version from: • Jump On Superstar (from "Super Mario Odyssey") --> you could make an acapella version based on the instrumental version of said song as well • All-Star Mode: Rest Area theme (from "SSB Melee") --> if possible, a 15-minutes-version, as you did with the "Wii Shop Channel" theme • Boba Date (from Street Cafe) • Joe's theme (from "Pokémon Battle Revolution") • Chichin puipui (from the Japanese singer Ringo Sheena; this song is also known by the English title "Manipulate the Time") --> But based on the instrumental version of said song • Pirate Lagoon theme (from "Diddy Kong Racing") • King Kut Out theme (from "Donkey Kong 64") • Brinstar Depths (from the "Metroid" series) • Sweet Sweet Canyon theme (from "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe")
