Hopefully you will get another opportunity to go back. WWE please hire Maven as a backstage interviewer or commentator because he is so good at talking!! He deserves it!
More than that. Maven is able to create content and generate views and subscribers. Color commentator or interviewer is not a good fit. Get this guy on the WWE youtube channel and give him a gold pass and a camera crew.
Backstage interviewers don’t talk. They are told to ask a couple of questions. They usually suck ass. Unless they are a hot lady there’s no point to them at all and Maven would be wasted as a backstage interviewer.
Maven, at this point I genuinely believe you should speak your dream job into existence. Your honesty and transparency with these videos has been truly incredible, and I would support you in any endeavor even if it meant these videos had to stop. Best of luck.
Can we take a second to appreciate how good of a driver Maven is? Dude keeps his eyes on the road, regularly checks his mirrors, uses the blinker, and even sticks to the right unless passing or making a left. Being safe in the ring shows you care about the wellbeing of your opponent, but being safe on the road shows that you care about the public. Bravo, Maven 👏👏👏
Just wanted to take this time to say congrats for changing your life. I have been in outpatient therapy for an addiction to opioids. It’s very hard and to see you still doing great after going through that tough time is inspiring to me.
Your story is very inspirational and your charisma and personality are incredible. What sets you apart is the fact that you seem like the every day guy that anybody can go out and have a beer with and enjoy an evening. As opposed to a lot of people in show business, that act as if they are on the top of Mount Rushmore and are untouchable. As somebody, myself, who’s been in entertainment pretty much all of his life… Acting, comedy, music, and even professional wrestling.. there’s nothing worse than somebody who reaches that brass ring and then treats people around them as if they are lesser than. Forgetting where they came from and how quickly it all could end and they could be back to the life they had before they reached their dream. So thank you for being you. A toast to you and all of the continued success in your life and career, in the new year. Be safe and well.
You would be perfect as a NXT announcer. Helping and guiding the younger talent with in and out of ring advice. Love the videos and wish you all the best.
Man you are killing it on TH-cam. The content you share is gold, beginning to end it is interesting and engaging. I hope you get another shot at the WWE. Saw you as a kid but your TH-cam made me a fan haha. All the best!
I know exactly how you feel Maven. I graduated college in may of 2020, but already had an internship for a software/finance company in LA scheduled after graduation, but then got a call from the recruiter that they were cancelling it due to the pandemic. I was desperate for a job then, and luckily am in a much better spot now, but man getting that call freakin sucked man.

You are definitely one of the best storytellers out there. It would have been great to see you back in WWE in that capacity. Just know that your next opportunity (which is this), has been amazing. I have enjoyed all the content you put out. We need a Maven PODCAST for 2024! Happy New Year Maven!
There definitely is room in the wrestling business for Mavens voice and level headed approach be it on screen or behind the scenes, good evidence for it is just the short time it took for this channel to get as popular as it got, and simply his no nonsense bright attitude and ability to take responsibility. Could totally see Maven having a role in NXT.
You are the Wrestler Zero embodiment of what NXT represents. I remember watching you walk out for the first time. Every call up from Orlando is experiencing their Maven Moment. Having you at the PC would be such an amazing story. You ARE the product. If you still want it, you call whoever you have to.
Never knew I needed a video of Maven cruising Sioux Falls, SD telling stories but here we are! Keep up the work on these videos fellas, excellent work all around!
I had a dream of wanting to become a WWE wrestler, but I lived in South Africa so I never believed that there was a chance for me to get that dream, until WWE announced a try out for us but then Covid ruined it all. Thankfully they did another announce another try out in africa last year. I've submitted and have even made it onto tv as a preview for the competition. I was so happy but we haven't heard about the competition since it's initial announcement. Praying a dream of mine comes true 🙏
The day he started this youtube channel is the day he probably got blacklisted from the WWE. His videos are great but this is like that old masked magician show where he would spoil insider magic tricks and the entire magic community despised him.
@@MartyMacFry It's not 1980 man. Nobody gets shunned from wrestling for shooting in interviews. He came from Tough enough, which is where WWE told everyone how they did their tricks.
hey maven. Absolutely love your content. Love your attitude. I appreciate you taking time to tell us about your wwe experience. Your positive and entertaining attitude keeps me going. Currently my mental health has gotten worse. I have been struggling with it for a couple of years now. I have been taking some time to myself to try to improve it and it is a bit better. Keep up the good work dude! btw I would love if you could return as either a commentator or interviewer backstage
I remember that flashing on the screen myself, I was boarding a flight to Charlotte, NC the next morning from Buffalo and my life (as many of ours did) started changing drastically after that. Somewhat ironically, part of my trip down there was for an NBA game but the shutdown changed my life path as well. But as you said - life is about more than what happens to you, it’s how you react and I’ve landed on my feet since. I’m sure it’s been said several times but you’re great at telling a story and videos are a great listen!
God damn, Maven I'm so sorry about the timing that happened to you. I can absolutely relate to that, my job at the time was going on the up and up was ready to get into a senior role within my team and then Covid hit. Would have been late Feb, early March here in Australia. Basically everybody got stood down, few got working from home opportunities. I was eventually let go after a prolonged period and am still feeling the sting of that. I genuinely hope you're doing well in your personal life, and can't thank you enough for your amazing insight into the business - as you said, your current opportunity. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see you on camera again with WWE. On that note though, would you consider making a video centered around your work and life experience during Covid? Every area, business and every country was different. Would be an interesting insight into your life during that period. Thanks Maven.
Is very inspiring to hear your stories and what you been through, and how you explain everything so calm and collected PS: I had a few wrestling cards and one of them I had was you Keeping being awesome and bring great content
Most likely not the hall of fame. Nothing against him but it was only like a 5 year career in the mid card which is completely fine I’m not hating on him for it, but by wwe standards it sadly isn’t a hall of fame career :/ but I’d love to see him back on wwe tv
Actually I’ll take that back if he was to come back as a manager or something like a Paul haymen then he might be able to get inducted, lots of managers have been inducted.. just has to be a solid run as a manager
What a fantastic story teller. Legit all that build up to knowing that things went wrong due to covid was something not even a seasoned movie writer/producer could ever come up with. Like that was genuinely great stuff. Sorry to hear that you lost that opportunity but hey all things happen for a reason, its about how you react to it all
Maven, I think you would be great in WWE. The proof is in this channel that you can be compelling and keep an audience’s attention. I very rarely watch WWE anymore, but I came across one video and was like oh shit that’s Maven. I wonder what he’s been up to. By now, I’ve seen a couple dozen videos of yours at least. You’re great at telling a story. You’d be awesome as a backstage interviewer or having a sit down segment interviewing wrestlers. I really hope WWE gives you another shot. I’d bet cold hard cash that you’d be an awesome job. Covid ruined many people’s lives. Life can suck sometimes but keep on believing and pushing forward and you’ll get there I’m sure.
@uria702 Wholeheartedly agree, I watched a vid by chance on how bleeding happens on wrestling and somehow I watched all the wrestlers ranked, and his vid about being fired and this one. Maven certainly speaks from the heart, it would be a sign of WWE decline if they did not give him a fair look in.

I'm sorry you missed out on that, Maven. That was unfortunate timing. Even still, I discovered ISPW at the beginning of 2022 and I checked out all the shows I could that year (plus a few this year). The first show I made it to, I was happy to see you working the wrestling scene again. I really only watched WWE in 2005 and I wasn't aware of the indie scene so it was kind of a big deal for me personally. I really enjoyed your manager work on those shows that following year and I'm glad you're still doing well now.
Honestly I would low key love to see a show that has Maven and Stevie Richards as a commentary team. That'd be pretty sweet, Maven as a Color Commentator with Stevie as the Play By Play. Like that should be the next NXT LVL Up or Main Event Commentary team in my opinion.
You know what? I would love to see Maven in the hall of fame. Winning the first season of tough enough is a historic moment in its own right. But also your work in and out of the ring. @@MavenKHuffmanaround the Mooooonn - ( mavens entrance hits )
Hopefully you will get another opportunity to go back. WWE please hire Maven as a backstage interviewer or commentator because he is so good at talking!! He deserves it!
More than that. Maven is able to create content and generate views and subscribers. Color commentator or interviewer is not a good fit.
Get this guy on the WWE youtube channel and give him a gold pass and a camera crew.
or put him in creative or with the writers
Backstage interviewers don’t talk. They are told to ask a couple of questions. They usually suck ass. Unless they are a hot lady there’s no point to them at all and Maven would be wasted as a backstage interviewer.

Nah … I’m good
@@Jamesgeeee😂
You are a great example how no matter what happens, you can bounce back and be great again!
All while telling a story that has you hooked for 10+ minutes!
Regardless, please do not try this
That Covid reveal shows that Maven can tell stories. Holding it towards the end like a plot twist. I hope he’s able to go back as an announcer
Just wanted to take this time to say congrats for changing your life. I have been in outpatient therapy for an addiction to opioids. It’s very hard and to see you still doing great after going through that tough time is inspiring to me.
God dayum. I stopped watching WWE in 2014 but I would've loved to see you come back. You're very talented.
I can certainly understand being disappointed. I got laid off twice during that time period but you are right it’s about how you bounce back.
Man you are killing it on TH-cam. The content you share is gold, beginning to end it is interesting and engaging. I hope you get another shot at the WWE. Saw you as a kid but your TH-cam made me a fan haha. All the best!
I'm not even into wrestling, and haven't been for 30 years, but your videos are so compelling for some reason
Maven can definitely be the voice for WWE. I love his storytelling. He has a gift that needs to be shared with the audience.
Maven's better than a voice color commentator though. He generates content and viewership.
I
This felt like the best episode of taxi cab confessions ever!!! Love it. Most people prob don’t remember that show lol! Anyways great vid again Mav!
Hahahahah…. I REMEMBER it! Such a groundbreaking idea
@@MavenKHuffmanMav I was showing my son your videos and how you overcame adversity. You never quit and never let any negativity effect you. I told my son if you can be at least 3% better a week then your were last week that adds up overtime and always listen to people like Maven who can show you there is light at the end of the tunnel. Sorry for the long comment Brotha.
Maven always bringing those high quality Friday videos 👌
Growing up you were one of my favourite wrestlers and always hoped you'd get a big push. Was hugely disappointed when you got released but it makes me happy to see you striving and making great TH-cam content and telling some amazing stories
You are definitely one of the best storytellers out there. It would have been great to see you back in WWE in that capacity. Just know that your next opportunity (which is this), has been amazing. I have enjoyed all the content you put out. We need a Maven PODCAST for 2024! Happy New Year Maven!
Maven out here giving us the content we didn’t know we needed. Loving it
Keep up the good work Maven!! Definitely one of the best wrestling YT channels.
WWE needs to call him back. He has proven how good he is, his TH-cam channel has become so popular!
I really hope WWE offers this man again, such a crazy opportunity to lose through no fault of his own due to the lockdowns.
Loving these videos. I think they should still give you a chance. So many ppl get moved around in NXT. Never say never
Never say never!!!!👍🏽
I truly feel you still have a chance to be back in there.
Thank you for everything Maven. You are truly one of my all time favorite wrestlers.
Maven you're a great storyteller! That twist is almost as a twist in a Shyamalan movie 😂
😂😂😂
I had a dream of wanting to become a WWE wrestler, but I lived in South Africa so I never believed that there was a chance for me to get that dream, until WWE announced a try out for us but then Covid ruined it all.
Thankfully they did another announce another try out in africa last year. I've submitted and have even made it onto tv as a preview for the competition. I was so happy but we haven't heard about the competition since it's initial announcement.
Praying a dream of mine comes true 🙏
There's already plenty of Africans in WWE and they are international, there's plenty of chances now
Justin Gabriel vibes
Man I really hope you can return to WWE one day. Never say never. I think all of us would absolutely love seeing you back, no matter what role.
The day he started this youtube channel is the day he probably got blacklisted from the WWE. His videos are great but this is like that old masked magician show where he would spoil insider magic tricks and the entire magic community despised him.
@@MartyMacFry Eh it's not Vince anymore I doubt that many would care
@@MartyMacFry It's not 1980 man. Nobody gets shunned from wrestling for shooting in interviews. He came from Tough enough, which is where WWE told everyone how they did their tricks.

hey maven. Absolutely love your content. Love your attitude. I appreciate you taking time to tell us about your wwe experience. Your positive and entertaining attitude keeps me going. Currently my mental health has gotten worse. I have been struggling with it for a couple of years now. I have been taking some time to myself to try to improve it and it is a bit better. But a lot of my problems wont go away. I have been reaching out to close friends who have similar problems . So your positive energy you bring helps me a lot man.
The way this guy tells a story is incredible....totally captivating, humble and informative. Doesnt miss a beat. Guy is gifted
Is very inspiring to hear your stories and what you been through, and how you explain everything so calm and collected
PS: I had a few wrestling cards and one of them I had was you
Keeping being awesome and bring great content
I hope they bring you back Mave. You deserve it.
11:10 so much joy watching this part, you are killing it and I’m glad I’m tagging along for the ride.
Every single video Maven puts out is so fascinating. Could watch for hours.
Love the videos maven! I really hope some day you could come back or even be inducted into the hall of fame
Watched you since the early 00s. So happy you're doing so well, man.
Hey maven my wife and I enjoy all your content brother. Glad to see you are happy and healthy these days. We are long time wrestling fans and always find it interesting your takes on your experiences with the company. Keep being a good dude and keep on being transparent and being yourself much love
I never realized how much practice actually goes into commentary
Ikr. So many people shits on Kevin Patrick (Smackdown commentators) but he probably spent months practicing for this role. Fair play to commentators.
Ohhh yeah! SO MUCH WORK. You don’t realize how much commentary helps aid the rest of the show
@@stevenjoseph6048 fr! ppl think talking is so easy but if commentators commentated with normal every day speaking voices it would be such a boring show
@@stevenjoseph6048 The effort he puts in isn't relevant to the quality. If a natural goes in their and nails it it's no less valid than a guy busting his ass to do it. The results are all that matters.
I think things have gotten to a stage where, especially with the exposure you've been picking up from this channel, that you'll be invited back in no time at all - and I wish you the very best with it.
Surprise entrant in Royal Rumble would be an epic start.
‘My next opportunity…well, your watching it right now…’

Maven, thank you so much for sharing your story every week. The pandemic affected everyone like that man. It truly shut everything down
Im still holding out hope that Maven gets another opportunity with WWE
Your YT viewership alone should get you a job with WWE. You're becoming a legitimately big youtuber.
Insane story. So well told dude. But there’s a massive silver lining! They wanted you. Circumstances dictated why it didn’t happen.
With how much you’re killing it on here, and how badly people want to see you again, I think the job is going to be yours when you want it man. I’d reach out if you do.
So well spoken as always. Maven is one of the few who have made such an impact on TH-cam with such amazing stories and the behind the scenes stories of his own life. Look forward to these videos everyday, hopefully someday we can get an interview setup. I would love that!
What amazing storytelling. I certainly look forward to you at the announcers table someday in the future!

Wwe please call this man back he’s awesome!
Wouldn't mind seeing Maven as an entrant in the 2024 Royal Rumble. He could even have a spot with CM Punk.
Yes that would be awesome
I'm sorry you missed out on that, Maven. That was unfortunate timing. Even still, I discovered ISPW at the beginning of 2022 and I checked out all the shows I could that year (plus a few this year). The first show I made it to, I was happy to see you working the wrestling scene again. I really only watched WWE in 2005 and I wasn't aware of the indie scene so it was kind of a big deal for me personally. I really enjoyed your manager work on those shows that following year and I'm glad you're still doing well now.
Thank you for making this channel sir! Always been a fan of yours. Have a safe and happy new year!
Although you’ve had your obstacles, (as most of us has), you’ve rebranded yourself to the best version of yourself. To me, this is a great example of what a hall of famer should be!

You could come back in some capacity. Pervert Vince is out and kicked to the curb. Johnny Ace is gone too. Hunter and Stephanie is running the store.
I think it’s ok to admit Covid really screwed you over. We can’t ever as a country react the same way and destroy lives and our economies. People still died regardless of the lockdowns.
But I think this channel is going to lead you to places you never thought possible. You’re an incredible resource to the wrestling community.
The world of wrestling is a tough place for people who are normal humble people like you. To be successful in the world of entertainment often requires one to either turn into a monster in some way or another. You seem like such a great guy
Maven, there’s something special about you bud. You’re one of the first channels that I subscribed to on TH-cam. And I’ve been on TH-cam for a long time! The way you tell a story and let us behind the scenes is so special. When you said you got back to the hotel room and saw something on the tv I knew exactly where you were going. It took me back in time for a moment. I wish you could have gotten back to the WWE! But maybe this is where you’re supposed to be. Love ya brother.

As soon as you mentioned the news flash on the screen I knew what was coming. So unfortunate, and it makes me wonder why they didn't reach out again come 2021. At any rate, I hope we see you back with the company in some capacity soon. I've got your name on my Royal Rumble return card.
I have been sleepy for the last 3 hours and had just gone into bed for a nap, but saw this video's title. I figured I'll watch the first minute and then come back to it later. I was immediately hooked and ended up watching the entire 11-minute video. This is the most awake I've been all day.
Maven is an excellent storyteller.
Dude that’s the worst timing. So sorry! Your channel is great and your stories and experience is really engaging and inspiring.
You're a great storyteller. So easy to listen too
Man... You are a wrestler that I often bring up in my conversations with people about watching WWE when I was younger. I always hold out hope that you'll be back with the business somewhere.
It’s nice to hear about an older man’s experiences, and thank you for sharing it I always listening attentively! Happy new year 🎉
That’s unfortunate but we needed Maven back then and we need Maven more now then ever. Hope you can come back to WWE as a commentator. You definitely have it and are very articulate. Prayers for your return to WWE. Much love bro
Keep the faith brother. We want you back on television! Prayers up that you return!
Great going bro!! Never quit
Dude, it sucks that the world shut down just as you were about to get that shot. I remember watching Tough Enough religiously when I was a kid, mostly cause I had a crush on Nidia.
