Why I Stopped Talking to Randy Orton

- When I was a WWE wrestler, Randy Orton was one of my best friends. However, we eventually stopped talking. In this video, I share how we became friends, share a few backstage stories of Legend, and what led to us going our separate ways.
Who wants to see Maven & Randy reunite in an interview?
🙋♂️
🙋♂️
Don’t care
Me man
I do
Maven turn around, Randy is about to hit you with an RKO
It's not out of nowhere anymore
reminds me of Ciampa and Gargano's reels
what a mark
He's very sneaky.
yup
I hope Randy watches this, very wholesome.
Yeah, this is one of those feel-good stories; very wholesome. Really puts life into perspective and gives us introspective into the wrestling business and how their career paths went in different directions. I really hope they reunite and do a video together.
Same
I was lookin for his comment bro
I feel like they set up a time to do an interview together in the near future, or maybe they did it already, and that's why he made this video.
“He may or may not have done something to her bag” he did 🤣
When he took a poo in a woman’s bag?
Thanks Captain Obvious
I think that was X-Pac. He shit all over Sable's bag, and the anecdotes got confused
@@matiasmendoza9274Lol, no this is something he was there for obviously. The diva in question was Rochelle Loewen
Shitting in a bag is something Randy would do
“You never who’s around the corner.”
I immediately thought “Randy’s really about to pop out of nowhere.”
Same lol
As he’s saying that, he’s looking at the camera and not paying attention to the road. Then… BAM!… rear ends Randy in his rental
Hey who knows, he might be in an upcoming video.
Would have been funny if as soon as Maven stepped out the car, he gets hit with an RKO by Randy.
@@mgtocrateezspeaks3971 That's what I literally thought was going to happen. lol
I was half expecting the video to end with pulling up to Randy's house and transitioning into a mini podcast/interview.
Or Maven getting an RKO out of nowhere.
That be awesome
He lives by me
@@badxradxandydon’t lie buddy
@@TheyNerfedYoudont be jealous either
Dude, you must've been humbled really really hard at one point because very rarely do you meet a person so honest about themself. I hope for nothing but the most success for you. I'm so glad I got to watch your TE season when it was airing and to see how far you've come. You've built quite the legacy.
Actually…. YES!!! And age has taught me over the years that nothing lasts and to always be grateful!!!
I legitimately want to see Randy pop up on the channel. That'd be such a great moment
I hope he gives Maven an RKO just for shits and giggles.
The respect that Maven shows throughout his videos is why I'm subbed
Out of all the wrestlers that had an average career, not a bad career but not a world title career either, mavem is one of the only ones I've seen that is not miserable and bitter, I've never heard him take a cheap shot at anybody, and I've never heard anyone complain about him either, and sometimes honestly I get tired of stuff like dark side of the ring, cuz it's not all about bad times, they have good times on the road also
You are a simp that’s for sure
You nailed it
Same for me with Stevie Richards breakdown videos.
Yeah, me too, sometimes it seems guys like both Corny and Russo could use a shot of Pepto, cause all they do is shit all over everything. 😉
I needed this story. My best friend since daycare went off to college and we naturally grew apart just like you said. He passed away in 2021 and I carried an unspoken guilt for having let so must distance happen to us. But like you said "that's life". He understood and we ended on a high note. Thanx for this video Maven
Sad 🎻 music 🥲 no reason to feel guilty you weren’t true best friends you were location friends. My best friend has lived in another country for the last 10 years we talk everyday we are actually closer than when he lived up the street from me
Sorry to hear about his passing but happy you got the high note.
Atleast the last thing yu have a memory of him is on a good note that matters
you guys still had all the good memories of each other till the very end, just keep holding onto those brother
Yeah I've had a few move on like that, honestly for most people you get married to your SO and that's your real lifelong best friend. I actually don't know how anyone can deal with a close marriage falling apart, people act like it's nothing.
Somewhere randy is watching this ,smiling and thinking about the good ol times
Well it’s no question you need Randy on the channel with you and you love driving in circles around 100 gas stations! Great vid Maven!
Hopefully Randy Orton can come on ya channel to show some love
Maven has a great talent telling stories, one of the best ive seen.
Maven, by chance if you do see this and read this, you're a class act. More people should thrive to be like you. You're humbleness is unmatched and very genuine. We all appreciate you and your channel here on YT. The algorithm agrees. I wish you many years success and happiness on the road to 1M subs :)
I heard Maven traveled alot with Randy Orton and Stacy Keibler
Who wants to see Maven & Randy have a conversation to revisit & reminisce the old times?
🙋♂️
I've been saying this for months waiting for maven too hear me
Absolutely it was cool seeing CM Punk with Randy watching a match they had
I want it to spill into animosity and set up a match at mania
Mavens buttery smooth voice is soothing to hear
ifkrr
U are literally one of the most humble person. Stay blessed man
Honestly Maven you are such a genuine guy, always articulate and so very good at painting a fantastic picture with your stories. Wish we could share a beer whilst you regaled more tales. Love this Channel. You truly are one of the world's good guys and I wish you all the success.
Started off a bad day today Maven, got on TH-cam to distract myself & the first thing I see is a new banger. Appreciate it brotha, it was needed! 🙏🏻✊🏻
Not my dumbass thinking the car at 18:14 was Randy pulling up to show that they did reconnect.😂
Us Diamond Dallas Page fans never got a feud between Randy Orton and DDP. Diamond Cutter vs RKO could have been so much fun to see.
Maven bro I wasnt watching any of the shows while you were there. The fact that you can give other people credit for helping you get as leg up in places speaks volumes about the kind of man you are.and your level of integrity I.m glad your channel is so successful you deserve it.
Maven be dropping alot of jewels about the wrestling game I didnt even know
Maven is that cool friend who has incredible stories to tell. And I love to hear.
Good on you, Maven, for understanding Randy's star power. It speaks loads that you didn't take a lot of things personally and recognized the way it is in business in general (not just wrestling).
Fa sho and he was more fitting than Gene in that match imho
Man you were crushing on Stacy at the end haha I would’ve too 😂😂😂
I hope the Undertaker video being removed wasn’t WWE being dicks😞
Who else would do it?
He said on insta that they got a copyright claim and that the video is deleted temporarily
@@RickRubinTheOtherOnewho could coyright claim it other then WWE?
@@umarrazvianybody can submit a claim and if it lands it lands could've been a salty fan takers got a lot of them
A lot of old men yelling at clouds
You should see how they treat his actual friend and co-host
Well after they made such a big deal about Cody using the name "Rhodes", nothing they do surprises me and does anybody know if this is true or not, that when they bought WCW they didn't get everything because Dusty Rhodes had some of the things he created trademarked, and Cody sign them over to WWE as part of the deal for him to get to use the name Rhodes... if it's just a rumor I don't want to spread it but it certainly seems possible

God damn Maven. I am so sorry for taking you for granted during your run in the WWE. I have subbed and I promise to never take you for granted again.
Oh and thank you for this amazing content
Embarrassing comment.
Maven uploading = day is better already
Once again, another important business phone call.

Randy has been my favourite ever since he joined evolution, and i'm 31 now. He is so smooth, calm & perfectly tomes. I love to hear these stories about him as a real human being, similar to Undertakers recent podcasts as I've found Randy to keep reasonably private. Keep up the good work Maven. I remember watching and loving your season of tough Enough back in the day. Glad to see that your fit, healthy & happy! Thank you for introspective & extremely detailed content. You're a good man!
loved hearing the stories from the road and backstage.....great stuff!
Randy Orton is a Legend in St. Louis, Missouri. Thats where the tough guys and girls in that locker room like Harley Race Bob Orton. Legit tough guys.
What? It made sense til the end. Then ya lost me...
Oh hes just a legend in st Louis Missouri?
A lot of great talent from that neck of the woods
Like Jonathan Coachman

I love this channel. Easily my top 3 on youtube 🙏
Love the wrestling stories. Watched all the videos in a few weeks. Thx and keep it up!
Great material as always! Thanks!
I always look forward to watching your videos your bring back such good memories and makes my day that much better plz keep them coming 😊
You should have nadia on the show to get her point of view as she was the first female tough enough winner
Her point of view was mainly looking at the ceiling in one of the boys’ hotel rooms (usually X-Pac’s)

I have to say I love your format for the videos...your not always in the same room just talking to a camera...makes me feel like I'm with you wherever you are talking as if I were there...great job
Love to see you taking it back, old school, with you taking your videos during a trip.
I smell a video with Randy coming soon
Maven coming thru for the lunch break!!! Love fridays
Maven, I just wanted to say thank you for all your content and creating your channel. It’s crazy to come full circle from watching you as a kid and just knowing you as Maven the wrestler to know being able to come to know a little bit about Maven the person. Your words of motivation have helped me to just take things head on without excuses. As you said, excuses are just tools for the weak and incompetent. Whenever I feel down putting on a video of yours never fails to lift my spirits. Keep up the good work!!
Beautiful video i got a bit teary when i found out about that moment of reconnecting at the airport then going your separate ways. God bless you maven your content is my fave content i look forward to every single week i look forward to fridays
It'd be fun if Randy was sitting on the back seat the whole time you were driving and filming the video and the moment you say "you never know what's around the corner" the camera moves on the seat behind driver and Randy makes a funny face expression to shock all the viewers with his iconic pressence. :D
Wouldn't be that much of a shock since I'm sure most of the viewers would check the comments while watching video or the top comment will be shown anyway even if they didn't check the comment section which would definitely mention randy's appearance and spoiling the end of the video
@@Zanoladab why would anyone go into comment section without watching the entire stuff? I never do it like this... first watch, then like or dislike, then comment.... huh?
@@hukutka94 tbh I don't know why they do that. The top comment still shows up for me at least in my phone even if I didn't click on the comment section.
Yall have to reunite, you going crazy in the youtube wrestling community, and randy orton is the goat, still doing his thing in WWE. That would be a 🔥 reunion.
Thank you Maven for all that you give us. You truly have a gift for making everyone's day better. God bless
Maven vids just remind me of the wrestling I remember. Gives me nostalgia, keep it up maven.
The fact that u are driving while making a video of stories with ur road partner back in the day makes the video hit different men, Maven & production, well done ☝🏼
I remember when the Amy Webber incident when it happened. This was PEAK Randy Orton being a menace. It also shows how bad the lockerooms used to be to allow those things to operate but back then it wasn't. I'm glad he's changed
I always heard that just cus Weber didn't know who he was is why Orton got all mad. But here Maven made it known that it was cus Weber had asked Randy to take her bags😂

Great story Maven, love the video!
So awesome to hear early Randy stories that didn’t paint him in a bad manner.
Thanks again for one of many happy memories, 2001 Maven was signing autographs and Randy was doing photos at a Fan Frenzy (Global Warning Tour) pre-show. Still have the autograph, still have the photo. Still miss my best mate that went to all those shows with me, who passed long before his time aged 32yrs in Sept 2014. RIP C.J.S.💞

So happy your channel is taking off. Love the content. You might feel like a wrestler sometimes but I think you’re born to be a tv host.
That's an awesome backstory of the up-and-coming Randy Orton. We've heard about his brashness, but this is one of the few times we've heard about his... for the lack of a better term, "being one of the guys"-ness.
We need a one off podcast about this. Talk about your old.times together
The best content period. Love ya Maven!!!
Whoever is running the Chanel is doing awesome. New formats every week it’s seems, now you’re doing the in car talking style thing, i dig it haha
I excpected at the end of the video for randy orton just to drop in on the driver's side window and say what's up.
Maven, what happened to the video you previously uploaded with The Undertaker talking about the Hell in a Cell match?! 🙃

The unnamed woman who asked Randy to carry her bags was Christy Hemme.

I love how you readily accepted the mantra of "We treat everybody fairly but not everybody the same" of the WWE. Different people have different worth.
Not surprised to see you two slowly lose contact, you guys were in a bubble but once one of you leaves that bubble, it's natural for that contact to peter out. Hope to see you two reunite sometime to catch up.

As someone who has worked as a Ring Crew Member and Ringside Security years ago for the now not really active anymore NECW, I saw the real wrestling world. This was back when the whole Pro Wrestling just being scripted storylines and predetermined outcomes wasn't exactly well known or believed yet. So I remember getting a lot of hate from people because they didn't believe it was fake. So having someone like Maven create a community that can acknowledge what wrestling really is and keeping a respected community with it is in my opinion a very beneficial thing. So I just want to extend a huge Thank You to Maven for taking the time to show the inner workings of this wrestling world.
