Alex (CEO of Anasound) is a guy who is really passionate about his work and he's a real nerd when it comes to making his pedals... he made this pedal for Jack White because it's one of his long-held dreams of having a signature spring reverb.
Given this things price, you’re better off getting The Light Pedal from Gamechanger audio. It’s only a little more expensive and does way more as a spring tank reverb pedal.
Where would you suggest running this in a signal chain? If it was a straight reverb I would imagine you would run it after drive pedals and compressors right at the end of the chain, but since it has that pre-amp circuit what do you think?
Sounds great! I need one ... On a side note - you play a lot of guitar digitally as well as through amplifiers. How do you find the playing experience of both? I love my amps, but I can't play where it sounds nice without annoying neighbours or my partner. I've wanted to switch to digital, I do use the Tone King plugin and Guitar rig, but it's not even remotely close to playing in a room with an amp. Is there anything out there or anything you use that gets close? I don't know if an Ox Box would be better for me.
Hey, yeah loadboax can be the way to go. Two Notes or UA. I mostly use my Kemper now, and I like that a lot. Not a huge fan of plugins. But loadbox is probably closest to the real deal.
@@RiperSnifleFor what it's worth, I'm a real "no amp, no good" kinda guy myself, and I went through so many digital modelling options (no Kemper profiler tho so, if our man says that's good I darn well believe him!) before settling on a loadbox. Two Notes Captor 8. If I had the $ I'd upgrade to an Ox but alas, I don't:) The Captor goes to an IR loader or similar. GFI Cabzeus Stereo works ok for me.
Is it me or do the diodes have a very specific tone here? I don't know enough to identify the tone but there's a hard high freq metallic kind of twang I've heard with some type of diode. Any thoughts?
God damnit! It's got everything I've been looking for. Exactly. I really thought I was going to get away with not buying any gear with my next pay check. Nope.
The preamp is transparent when the gain is low, it works everywhere in the signal chain because of right impendences. If personally use an edge of breakup clean amp and plug it in front.
Do you have any recorded stuff available, like on Spotify or something? A band? You have a tone, that's for sure :) Cheers. EDIT: that pedal reminds me a bit of my old mini-reverb/delay rack unit. It had springs in it, a tiny all analog rack thing. No preamp, but that spring tone takes me back to my '90s rig tone. Very cool pedal. SECOND EDIT: bloody hell that's an expensive toy. I wish I'd kept my little rack unit....
maybe you covered this. won't lie i'm skipping through and bouncing around. but what happens if you crank the reverb settings and bump or kick it while playing?
If you press hard the footswitch, the antipop system will smooth everything to avoid noise on stage. But if you just kick the pedal because you want the splash, you got it, it's made of genuine springs ;)
If you want something more subtle... Maybe don't buy something geared towards over the top avant garde rock? The price point on anything associated with jack white stuff is ridiculously prohibitive already. You could buy an amp with a true spring reverb for this much money. No it won't have the dials to make it sound like garbage... But maybe that's a good thing?
Guitar Pedals at this point are pretty much what cosmetics are for girls: mostly marketing. One can then be aggrieved by this fact or just impressed on what a great job Jack White does in that regard. But yeah, a reverb tank without the magic costs like 30 bucks.
Ah dang. Since there only can be one answer here, we’ll need to figure out this before the end of this day. Is til think it sounds great. What are your arguments for it sounding bad?

This demo is nuts !!! Learn to focus the camera! If a pedal has knobs, tell us what they are! Make sure you know what the pedal does, before you do the demo! No one cares about your noodling!!!
Silly to add to a TH-cam comment I know, but I actually came for just this type of demo. I can look up details on the product page, I just want to hear the pedal in a context similar to what I play, and this does just that.

Great tune !
Love hearing your demos in the middle of a sea of generic ac/dc marshal esq and edge of break up stuff. You stand out as much more interesting
Exactly! Totally the same!
Hell yeah, AnaSounds!
There's a trim pot for the preamp gain inside the pedat that you can adjust. It's at 1/4 by default
Pedal sounds awesome! It helps that you're pretty damn slick on that guitar, but the pedal sounds killer
🤝
Amazing vid again man! That intro song was one of my favourites.
Speaking of Jack White pedal sounds, you should check out the MAE Black Math fuzz pedal! It would be cool to see what sounds you can get out of it.
Agreed!
Nice review. You're a natural.
2:48 : Silvertone 1483 sounds great.
You made it sound so good. Fits your vibe
sounds wicked
I like the sound, but I have a feeling that I can get close with considerably lower cost.

Does the reverb sound go off if you kick it? I have a twin reverb and love giving it a gentle kick to hear pure spring bashing spring reverb
If you give a little tap on the spring, does it make that awesome noise?
CCKKRAAAASHHSHSSHHH
Not the same as a Fender spring tank but it kind of does its own thing.
Yes
What great production quality on the intro track 😮
nice
Cool Review and pedal! Or just garb a nice overdrive pedal and play through an amp with spring reverb and dial EQ to taste, save $400?
Where would you put this on a pedalboard? Preamps typically go first and reverb last. What about this?
The preamp is transparent when the gain is low, it works everywhere in the signal chain because of right impendences. If personally use an edge of breakup clean amp and plug it in front.
I'd put mine on the shelf and use my color box and game changer light reverb on my rig, but that's just me being an ass for no good reason.
