    The upgrade path is good & I would definitely recommend this build to anyone who has a tight budget.

    Good video. I know this is a strict $400 budget pc and you can "$50 upgrade" yourself to almost infinity.. But a 12400f and 5700xt upgrade would mean a $500 pc that is in a whole different performance level. A massive upgrade. It's rare that a $100 increase does that on pc.

    • @user-lp5wb2rb3v
      @user-lp5wb2rb3v ปีที่แล้ว +4

      IMHO I think people need to realise a 4.2ghz 1660/1680v2 is enough for most people, that and ddr3 is dirt cheap, and you can now get a 6700xt used also and its all for the same $400

    • @akmalrusydi2730
      @akmalrusydi2730 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@Sergmanny46 actually the rx 5700xt is slower than the new RX 6600xt or non XT. i'd recommend the RX 6600xt/non-xt since it has more performance for a good price right now especially in the used market, plus the other concern for the rx 5700xt is driver support, and the only reason it's still a good GPU in comparison is because of the beefy architecture performance and the high VRAM bandwidth which is less power efficient than the RX 6600xt/non xt (if you care about electricity cost). But if you can find the rx 5700xt for a dirt cheap price, go for it, if your budget is so tight

    • @user-lp5wb2rb3v

      @@user-lp5wb2rb3vyeah xeons 1650/1660v2 are cheap but its not really ideal for gaming,even though these types if chips has great clock speeds but its...not designed for gaming,high tdp needs good cooling solution,same goes for the ram,you need ECC memory for the motherboard on it which latency is lower than it usually be,and 1680v2 can only be find in Macs and not anywhere else
      i dont really recommend it unless you really have a small budget

    Usually a motherboard with built in wifi isn't that much more expensive, so it would be a good alternative to buying a wifi-card. It would make the build much cleaner and avoid any video card size compatibility issues if you want to upgrade later.

Thought I had to power through and get one of them because they don't have ethernet cable at home. I totally forgot PCIe Wi-Fi adapter and affordable motherboard combos are a thing! A wi-fi card is definitely important. My first prebuilt had a slot on the motherboard for a wi-fi-chip-thing. My second pc, I built myself, I bought a nice pcie wi-fi card for. Third pc was temporary so for a little bit I connected it to a laptop through ethernet and use my laptop's wi-fi, until I bought a cheap small usb wi-fi thing. And my current pc as a dedicated antennae.

    I will always watch your videos buddy, like them a lot. Don't really have anything to add on this one because I'm looking to spend a bit more money with a couple friends using known brands. I would love to see a summer 2023 $1000-1100 video because with the RX 6800 XT (And it's 16gbs of VRAM) new for only $400 right now at several retailers, I think there are some exciting options gamers could produce that will not require upgrading for a few years, play all the best games in 1080-1440p at high frame rates on high settings. Hope you consider making one over the summer. Our road blocks have been the best case, motherboard, and cooling solutions for the $1000 budget, and whether or not it's worth upgrading to DDR5, given ram is so cheap as u pointed out in this video. Also several manufacturers have unveiled new 2023 case designs, which has put a lot of good 2022 models on sale at MC. Of course the PSU will be an issue for this build, which is why I say $1000-1100 because of this crazy price hike and the decision between ddr4&5 ram. Sorry to be off topic but very interested in your thoughts about this, cuz that 6800 XT at $400 new is insane in terms of value right now. Hope u consider it. Again, great video.

    Nice video I bought a prebuild pc for ish 450$ and have pretty much the same specs u showed with 32 GB, i3-12100f, and h610m. the only difference I have is that my graphic card is a 2060 super and Chassi Lian Li PC-O11D XL ROG. But I must say this video helpt me for making a guestroom gaming pc so thanks!

    My 7 year old loves Minecraft, and I have a hard time finding a custom build that is 6-800 dollars that will play that game and others well, and that I don't have to upgrade for at least 2-3 years. Any Help?
