- Mayor Lewis collects taxes from all the local businesses, but where does that money actually go? It would be no surprise to find that funds get misplaced along the way, given his ongoing affair with Marnie and making himself solid gold statues. The museum apparently gets funding from these taxes.. but what is it paying for?? Stardew Valley gameplay with my commentary as always!
And yet Lewis never comes to you, the most profitable part of the town for taxes. Unless he is taking a cut of everything that's sold through the bin. Or maybe he is scared of what you know about him.
I bet grandpa left a fortune for the mc and Lewis took it all.

i'd love future content or a mod that allows us to address some of the characters and their actions like pierre taking credit for your farm's products and mayor lewis taking money to fund a statue of himself.
We should be able to become mayor and we should be able to open up a store.
We can just have Pierre run away or die, leaving his daughter and wife to the player.

The problem isn't "oh no, he's collecting taxes" it's "what's he doing with the money?" Mayor Lewis is clearly not spending the money well; he has a solid gold statue of himself. That's expensive and the money would be better spent on the community improvement projects that the player has to spend their own money on instead.

If you leave the statue in town over night, the people will throw vegetables on it, leaving a pile of rotten vegetables. The next day, the statue will be in Lewis' bedroom.

I mean I'm kinda late but most the time, small towns don't have big businesses (Walmart, Safeway, Starbucks, etce). And if they do, it's not up to the local government to collect taxes from them. I live on a Native American reservation and we would never have a big business company chain because that would harm our local economy. There's one store here that isn't funded by the Native Government and they don't get any profit from it, all the profit goes to the family that owns the shop. Since I think Lewis probably helps fund the local businesses, that's why they pay for taxes. But I barely know anything about finances and such, I'm just giving out what I learned from where I live.

Hey man. I found a cool speed boost glitch while in skull caverns. You have prolly covered this at some point but if you are holding a spicy eel meal and a slime ball monster slimes you(slowing debuff) and you immediately eat the meal it will give you a tremendous speed boost until the meal timer expires. I do this on the Switch. Awesome videos man! You crack me up every time.

I know this game's been around for years and probably won't get any major story additions, but it's very clear that Lewis is a scumbag and we should have a storyline that involves getting his position revoked so someone else can have it.

For a long time I thought lewis just went to marnies then later I started following all the villagers around and I saw that he does go to other places
The town has no schooling but Penny choosing to homeschool the kids with no evidence of being paid. Theres a town doctor but I do not think the healthcare is public. Are taxes only going to paying Gunther? We pay to keep the bus going and rebuild the community center. This is why in games like animal crossing it makes sense for pc to become Mayor. By game mechanic we do everything

Hey I read on the wiki that if you have a rabbit's foot in your inventory, you don't get in trouble for dating everyone. Would love to see that and if it works for both men and women. Also, I would love to see you finish the creepy mod where everyone is dead and find all of the bodies. There are a couple places you didn't check - the quarry, the cave on your farm, the areas to the left of the bus stop are the ones I thought of.
I receive 750 gold for putting his gold statue on his lawn and got mail with the money next day telling me to forget about the statue and not expose him anymore then he put the statue into his unlock room. I kept a screenshot of the message
I also keep receving money from the agricultural fund having lewis as a friend is great!
