Edgewater is a good place to start for the Lakefront Bikeway, but I think I enjoyed the east end of it even more. From 55th marina east towards the Lakefront Nature Preserve. Let me know any other trails you come across too! - John

Just glorified sidewalks with endless stop signs, bumps, debris, pedestrians. Nothing is ever built for advanced cyclists.
