The soda you drank is the bad type of "julebrus". In my city Hamar and Lillehammer , we are making the best soda ever! It's sold all over Norway. When it gest to December everybody runs to the grocerystore just to buy "julebrus"! You must buy it many days before Christmas, because it gest sold out in a second! It's high quality.
the Hockeypulver is Swedish so they sent a mix of Norwegian, Swedish and Danish treats, sorry for correcting but ppl have a habit of mixing the items up as their own because they are sold in general stores in all three countries.
hahahah i love how u pronounce and describe every norwegian word, and you are actually really good at the pronouncing part haha! loved loved this video :) I was one proud norwegian watching this!
+My Virgin Kitchen Unfortunately, he sent you a cheap brand of "julebrus", which is probably why it didn't taste much. In his defense, some of the cheap brands tend to taste better than the more expensive ones, but I think the majority of Norwegians prefer the slightly more expensive, glass-bottled type.
+TinyTobbi Jr We almost lost the Hapå altogether, because of a buyup from Nestlè. Remember? Theyre back in good norwegian hands after a succesful Facebook support group though. Kind of a cool story. Similar to the one with (S)Urge...
that hockey pulver stuff, absolutely brilliant treat, in Finland we get that as well but with a Finnish hockey player on the front. Lovely strong salty liquorice and makes my socks spin around
the ironic thing about you putting on the "my mind is telling me no" song, is that the commercial slogan here in Norway for Smash is "You can't only have one"
How can you not love Troika?!?! It's the best thing (besides plain norwegian chocolate)! Okay, I can understand why people don't like it. It has been described as an old lady chocolate to me (basically something old lady eats). I however have liked troika since I was young, like 6-7 years old, and now at 26 I still love it! Troika is my one weakness when it comes to chocolate and candy!
A lot of really nice fruit drinks use aronia berries as they're actually very high in antioxidants and really good for you :) Some even count them as a superfood :) If you get the chance, try the clipper red fruits tea with aronia, very refreshing and perfect on a winters day :)
+Matias Birkeland It looked like it was one that wasn't quite fresh, you know when the jello starts drying out for some reason and it gets a bit ... not so good.
We take our Julebrus seriously here. Coop is a brand designed for poor people, all their stuff costs less and is of poor quality. You need Dahls Julebrus to experience the real thing. Also, Hobby is heavenly.
I don't know if you've heard these before, but here are some fun facts: 1. Kvikk lunsj means "quick lunch" and is meant for you to have in your knapsack when skiing or hiking, commonly alongside an orange, to give you a quick energy boost. Or you can just enjoy it, skiing or not. It's quite popular around easter for this reason. 2. Smash's slogan is: "Det skal godt gjøres å spise bare én", which translates to something like: "It's impossible to have just one", which I am sure you can understand why. ;-) 3. HaPå, short for "Hamar Pålegg", with pålegg being the Norwegian word for, well, anything you can put on a piece of bread, in this case spread and Hamar being a town in Norway. Hapå (or ha på) could also mean "put on", as in "what do you want me to put on your bread?", like an Abbott & Costello routine: "What do you want me to put on your bread?" "Put on." "Yes, what do you want me to put on your bread?" "Put on!" and so on. P.S. I've never actually known someone, or even imagined someone not liking Troika. Weird. P.P.S. Next video you should try a Cuba, the best chocolate bar you can get in Norway after the discontinued Melkedrøm (Milkydream). I'll shut up now...
julebrus is really sweet because in norway its a christmas food is usually really salty soo we make it neutral with the sweetness of julebrus and the food:)
My mom works at Nidar, which made Smash, Hobby, Troika and so on. She has the job to taste the sweets everyday (and test them so that IT is not antyhing bad with them)
Have to say I was a bit surprised to see "Svolværpostei" in one of these videos, always fun to hear my home town spoken of abroad, despite the English speakers having a fun time pronouncing it, didn't butcher it too much so you're safe :) Maybe in the future you'll end up with some dried cod from Lofoten, best cod there is.
You got one of the really cheap types of julebrus. I would have recommended a Hamar julebrus. The brown kind. It's full of all these really nice spices that really put you into a christmasy mood
He sent you the shittiest julebrus in store
ChristoXO9 julebrus is the best thing evahhhhhhhhh
ChristoXO9 the good one
Thepumkin Guy One of the best things about christmas is julebrus, no doubt

Hamar-Lillehammer bryggeri. Christmas soda is supposed to have a brown color

Its really really NOT supposed to be brown!.. its supposed to be red! :) (.. depends on where one live in the country..)
If there are anny other norwegians out there we need to send him the real Jule Brus!
Tenkte jeg og! Hvorfor sendte de ham Coop julebrus?
Dahls Julebrus er den beste :D
Brun Julebrus FTW
Nei, den må jo være rød. :/
+Gamergurl15 Ringnes sin ftw ( den brune )

Tell me about it... Julebrus is liquid gold
+Elias Joa yeah that coop brand shitty julebrus... poor barry
someone should send him a proper one, in a glass bottle!
+Elias Joa All julebrus are disgusting as long as its not from Trio, the orange Julebrus from Telemark, locally known as "grumsebrus", or muddy soda.
i know it tastes like faux sugat
Hapå is actually more of a caramel spread as it is a norwegian version of dulce de leche :) And yes, it is hard to only have one smash! :D
ik
im norwegian
Hapå is boiled condensed milk. Ask a russian about moloko and they'll go nuts.
Absolutley.
Kvik Lunsj is WAAAYY older than kit-kats
ps real quick throw that peanutty bastard in the freezer ooohhh
Magnus Våge not "WWAAYY" older.. KIT KAT 1937 and kvikk lunsj 1934
HaPå is not chocolate, but caramelized condensed milk!

Ikr it is just too GOOD!
X Bad Vibes X Egentlig ganske rart av at det er så stor diskusjon over julebrus.
Men Hamar er den absolutt beste.
X Bad Vibes X more like october really
HiIm Werer Yeah i love it!
I'm from Norway and you should taste Kims potato chips, Toppris and Nugatti (Nugatti is almost like nutella)
He sent you a cheap julebrus damn
TurboAalgaEntertainment yeah that from Lillehammer bryggeri is better
På vegne av alle som jobber i/for Coop, beklager at vi selger det såpevannet der
På en måte unnskyldt, bare ikke forvent at noen kjøper den.
Ble overrasket over at vi solgte det lille som ble tvangssendt til oss jeg :-)
TurboAalgaEntertainment yea damn
i would love to see a tiny fairy tea party with miniture food and tea
sounds cute
Ooh like mini cookies, cakes and biscuits! Possibly candy or scones, too? :) yummm
Your Norwegian pronunciation is adorable :) Smash are my favorites
"Don't make a gif of that" - QUICK SOMEONE MAKE A GIF OF THAT!
the Hockeypulver is Swedish so they sent a mix of Norwegian, Swedish and Danish treats, sorry for correcting but ppl have a habit of mixing the items up as their own because they are sold in general stores in all three countries.
The bugle he was talking about is a chip here in the US. It's just like the chip but without the chocolate.
I would love to try bugle
Cool
storm3698 The cheese ones are the best!
+Rene Stauddy sounds great though I'm a chocolate addict.
+storm3698 I love chocolate!!!

Kvikk lunsj and Smash are one of the best Norwegian candy in my opinion :D
Mandelstang isn't supposed to be bendy, that one was probably lying in some sort of warm spot.
hahahah i love how u pronounce and describe every norwegian word, and you are actually really good at the pronouncing part haha! loved loved this video :)
I was one proud norwegian watching this!
When you let the melkesjokoladepudding sit in the fridge some of the good taste dissapears
"Hockey pulver" is the best thing ever! All my childhood, this thing was first priority when we went to the store 😍 Love it!

Wat!!!!????
Troika is my favorite after Norwegian Milk choclate.
Coop julebrus?? Yuck!
dubedaare 😣
The SMASH treat is corn kernels covered in milk chocolate. My favorite.
Barry I'm sorry, but I get the feeling that "Nuts, all in my kitchen" is gonna get a book deal before "Fun with bread".
The Norwegian TV commercial for Smash says something in the line of "It's well done to take just one". It's my personal favorite.
I love hapå
Was nice!
+My Virgin Kitchen Unfortunately, he sent you a cheap brand of "julebrus", which is probably why it didn't taste much. +Tech2Rush He didn't like the troika either, which is equally awesome. Think he's got something against jello or something.
+Matias Birkeland I don't like Hobby either. Troika is fine, but it's so sticky.
it's terrible..
Troika is one of my favourite chocolate bars, so delicious.
hahah i actually don't know a single person in Norway who likes Hobby. It's horrible :')
Malin Pedersen i like it😅
"mandelstang" is a relic from the middle ages.... our great grand parents had it as their only treat.
han sku hatt hamars :/
So... I'm late to this video... Obvi... But... I LOVE hockeypulver 😍😍
We take our Julebrus seriously here. Coop is a brand designed for poor people, all their stuff costs less and is of poor quality. You need Dahls Julebrus to experience the real thing.

Funny thing, there's actually a Troika card in Russia which you use similarly to London's Oyster - you pay for bus, subway and trams.
