videos like this is why I think Matojelic is the greatest chess youtuber ever. sure, lots of others have better presentation, and go more in-depth... but only Mato can narrate such beautiful poetry as "...the war is raging, kingdoms are falling, the blood is knee-high... and the queen came home for a cup of tea. Unbelievable." Indeed. Thank you for being you, Mato!
Mato, I wanted to thank you for being singlehandedly responsible for making me fall in love with the beautiful game of chess. Thanks for everything you taught me about the game (I hardly knew how to move the pieces, now I'm finding some "killer moves" in my games) and for all those times you made me laugh with your jokes. God bless you!
I have gladly done so in the website. The first link, however, takes me to your TH-cam channel's home, and I find nowhere to write a comment there, sorry! Have a nice day! Greetings from Argentina!
This guy Mato Jelic, oh my!!!! )))) M.Tals was exceptional player, I am from Riga too, but Mato has great stories and humor....!!!! That's what we all need these days.... ))))) Many thanks!!!! Maris from Riga
MatoJelic, by this game you proved that famous line for which MIKHAIL TAL is known for... The master of sacrifice,.. This is the real magic of TAL. Thank you once again for this amazing gift. Both of you are mesmerising...
I can only imagine how Mikhalchishin must have felt...a loss so devastating it crushes self-confidence and even the spirit. The legend well earned the moniker The Magician.
I don't usually comment on youtube , but you sir have the best chess videos on youtube . I've seen dozens of other youtubers , none of them can compare with your style , so you have earned my respect. Keep doing an amazing job.
Mato i am watching your videos since your channel was 10k subs. And you are becoming more and more popular. It is great to see that happening. Thank you for your all good jokes and perspective you gave us about chess. Thank youuuu !!!
What a brilliant game! I felt educated and entertained at the same time watching this. Tal plays like a hungry sneaky cat. The opponent concentrates on trying to save the fish on the table but voila! The cat has entered the fridge! )))))))))))
Mato, with 100k subs, you can now apply for the badge. It will add a small tick next to your username making it legit. It is exclusive club for just a few. Congrats!

Tal's moves were unpredictable and I love his type of play . The man can play more than 10 moves in advance in a sequence without his opponent noticed even Kasparov never matched him, he was truly a super GM
In any game that's 'War like', if one side shows a bold front, their opponent begins to crumble, (psychologically), but Tal doesnt seem to. He sees the opponents plan, plays a brilliant combo, his own bold front, and it is his opponent who begins to crumble.
Tal is a magician! As soon as the queen went to A1 I saw the killer combination. A5, boom!! The chess equivalent of Man U beating Bayern in 1999, unreal. I think I need a vodka after that.
@@MatoJelic I am not a chess master, lol. Barely a casual player but what if white trades bishops on e3? Then white rook to d1. Wouldnt black have to sacrifice his queen or face check mate?
Tal could see the deep secret power of a piece where his opponents could not , the e6 pawn was ignored in some sense by black , big mistake...an enemy is an enemy even if he is short and small he still is in your premises he still is a threat . Tal played sneaky chess.
Berat Belo it was a very bad blunder; honestly I also didn't see the danger but I'm not +2500 rated. For that level it looks naive to not see a two move mate like that
lawal ibrahim I'm struggling to understand your point; we are talking about the check mate that ended the game. We are saying when Tal moved his queen to A1, Black didnt see check mate in 2, he lost the game by taking white bishop with the rook
Nhlanhla oh my bad , I tot u meant a black had a checkmate chance and blew it by taking the bishop instead so I was looking fo the checkmate chance black had but couldn’t find any, I understand now that black blundered by taking the bishop instead of trying to defend again the against the check
Of course everyone can see that after Qa1, fxe6 (instead of Rxg5) and after Rxe3, Qf5 and black could defend. If played precisely black could even be preferable but in any way it is far from comfortable. I guess psychological elements were in action and this is why the title of the video mentions supernatural.
Tal was a great attacking player. Like the great bobby Fischer in style. Had a reasonable score against him. Mastery of defence takes a lifetime to learn. Some never achieve this. His nickname magician is quite appropriate…
Tal got lucky. Taking the Bishop at 7:28 was a stinky awful move. Must have been time pressure. I ran this in Stockfish starting with the move before the fatal one. Tal can escape with a draw with proper play.
Tal's opponent is greedy that is why he lost. Did he not ask himself why Tal move his queen at the corner- to what purpose? Any chess player can see the next move of Tal why he placed his queen on the corner. But tal's opponent is eager to grab the bishop for free.

shocking end, what a great player Tal.

Tal was fearless on the board, I rated him as the world's most attacking Chess player ever lived
only God and tal can win this type of game, thnx mato
Unbelievable! Speechless!
TAL IS BY THE FAR THE BEST PLAYER IN HISTORY! The way he saw through things in advance is unsurpassed ✌️
tal is the best....
Amazing game from both players!
nice one mato...as usual...
What a game.
Tal emulates my chess preparations.
Gabriel Jimenez lol
Tal's moves were unpredictable and I love his type of play . The man can play more than 10 moves in advance in a sequence without his opponent noticed even Kasparov never matched him, he was truly a super GM
Mato, thanks for these wonderful videos. Mikhail Tal has superseded Bobby Fischer as my favorite chess master. Thanks to your videos
Your voice is very soothing 😊
HA ! I saw that one ! Great move /game.
15 people were so shocked by Tal's magic and missed the like button. Unbelievable...

Enjoying Tal games without You, Mato, it's not the same. It will never be the same any more...
A blunder - Black must have been in serious time trouble not to have seen the mate in 2.
amazing preparations by both players ;)
Epic commentary with drama of Dostoyevsky.
Hi this is Mato
Oh my.... unbelievable
Legends TaL
Tal is a magician! As soon as the queen went to A1 I saw the killer combination. A5, boom!! The chess equivalent of Man U beating Bayern in 1999, unreal. I think I need a vodka after that.
Incredible!
This was like my online blitz game where I am winning all the time then blunder a mate in 2 😅
That was sick.
Who is better Tal or Mato?
Gabriel Jimenez mato
Mato off course, Tal's dead...
Tal is immortal...
bothone.
Bob Marley audience they see everything.
I actually saw that combination & I don't even play chess LOL
In your theoretical playthrough at 7:02 where black plays to d7, if white then played rook to d1, wouldnt that be a win?
Bd4
@@MatoJelic I am not a chess master, lol. Barely a casual player but what if white trades bishops on e3? Then white rook to d1. Wouldnt black have to sacrifice his queen or face check mate?

full blunder by black :D
Black blundered with taking dark square white bishop.
Berat Belo it was a very bad blunder; honestly I also didn't see the danger but I'm not +2500 rated. For that level it looks naive to not see a two move mate like that
I couldn't find the checkmate in two, if u mean queen take g2+ and then rook take bishop, its not checkmate because king can go bak to h1
lawal ibrahim I'm struggling to understand your point; we are talking about the check mate that ended the game. We are saying when Tal moved his queen to A1, Black didnt see check mate in 2, he lost the game by taking white bishop with the rook

My question is, after queen a1 how his opponent could not see the checkmate in two??? one player that cannot see two moves ahead how strong can be????
Very strong, but he had only few seconds left on the clock
Tal got lucky. Taking the Bishop at 7:28 was a stinky awful move. Must have been time pressure.

That's why he is the Magician from Riga. He is able to conjure magical ideas from seemingly losing positions
very funny and amazing game.
I didn't get the chess site name properly.
could u comment me the site name
Photos of the guy scare me. He has a crazy look in his eyes!
What’s the name of the website of Tal’s tactics?
"...like a Felix out of the ashes...."
Chris McCarthy *Phoenix* not felix hahaha
I gave the same preparation as Tal.
Mato, Thanks for a great game. Is there any way to fill the screen with the board in full screen mode, as your videos used to do?
Tal is the Houdini of chess. A game for the ages.....
Supernatural 👌👌👌
Even if black saw the mate in 2 threat after QA1, don't think there was any way to adequately defend, was there?
I do notice my chess skills have improved. I have been able to solve many of these puzzles and guess more variations
Tal's opponent is greedy that is why he lost. Did he not ask himself why Tal move his queen at the corner- to what purpose? Any chess player can see the next move of Tal why he placed his queen on the corner. But tal's opponent is eager to grab the bishop for free.
If he saw that check mate black could’ve won Tal
Bomen Orange Someone answer the man! I want to know.
"If" of course, but that did not happen amd Tal won. We can all predict what would happen or what wouldn't.
I thought tal's favourite move was 1.e4
There is no chess site on the internet that surpasses Mato!
Thank you
