Turning table after middle game. Quote of Nimzowitsch comes to mind: The passed pawn is a criminal, who should be kept under lock and key. Mild measures such as police surveillance, are not sufficient.
It's not every game you see a match between two grandmasters where one side has two queens on the board for more than two moves, and then manages to get a third after the loss of the first.
Very exciting game! I felt bad for black. And even in the end I was not totally convinced that white can win.... Chess players should play it out until the end, at least as Mato says, for "entertainment purposes". :-)
When I heard you say that Kozul was Yugoslav, Bosnian and Croatian champion, I knew you would not show a game that he lost. For a moment I thought he might even be your cousin, but he looks much too serious for that in all the pictures I could find online.
@@MatoJelic He WAS very serious? What happened? I have seen no reports of his death, and he’s only 54 years old. Did he suddenly change into a very funny man? In that case, good for him!
Just wow. I'd be scared to play half the moves. Truly, an immortal game.
These games are my favorite, games where we see amazing turnarounds.
Killer attack defeated by a savage killer defence!
Fantastic game! And pure bliss of 12 minutes of Mato lecture!
That was absolutely extraordinary. Magnificent play by Kozul.
Supreme comeback. Glorious game.
Excellent - Analysis! I learn a lot from your comments (3:06: "white is supposed to fight on the queen side, not to close the queen side")
Now THAT was a rollercoaster.
Yeah i think we all can see a story being played on the board.
Definitely a game for the ages... thanks for bringing it on this channel.
Proper bloodbath on the board.
*just woooooow*
A thriller indeed :)
That was amazing!
Very exiting game.

A bit dissapointed because u don't ask anymore where are the cities where games were played, I learned a lot of capitals from you😂😂
True! It was like taking a small detour around the world and history! Bring backstory time back :D
yeah i had to google tripoli and learnt that's the capital of libya 🤣
@@puviarasup Yes, but it can also be in Lebanon. :-)

Absolutely amazing! Just like the fortunes of life, the fortunes of chess too can change if you hold on long enough and make the right moves. :)
That white player has balls of steel!
Epic. Thanks, Mato!
Incredible comeback for white !!!
Perfect spices combination
This was really good!
:D improve my mind with this! thanks mato
Fantastic game.
10:27 what if black trades queens with Qxe4+?
Hi Mato, at 6:13, why not B F1 attacking the Queen?
Mato is always so cool 😎 my favourite chess channel.
Lot of suspens ... thx mato.
Indeed awesome game
Beauty! This is beauty of chess.
It's not every game you see a match between two grandmasters where one side has two queens on the board for more than two moves, and then manages to get a third after the loss of the first.
Crazy game.
at 3:11, why not ...Bb8 to keep it aimed at the king side?
6:14 why not bishop to f1 attacking the queen? queen can't escape as it's blocked by the knight.
never mind I see it

It was quite a battle
Pawn push was an absolute blunder😂
Great game thanks
6.14 I am so confused why B F1 does not work?
At 6:18 why didn't white play bf1?
bf1 than Nxf2 after bxh3 - Nxd1 wining the exchange.
11:40 King takes Rook?? That is a very fancy Rook with a crown!
To have 3 Quinn's in one game, this is something))
From India🇮🇳 first
Well done
