Any cave near molten lava is inherently dangerous. Partly because if the lava's close enough to the surface it can make the ground too hot to walk over, any underground water could boil you if it geysers up, and a thin layer of cooled lava can be deceiving sometimes. Also lava produces poisonous gasses.
I mean, to be fair, the Victory Roads, Cerulean Cave, and Mt Silver are literally forbidden to people who aren't highly skilled trainers. Our hypothetical lone wanderer couldn't risk their life there if they tried.
Hoenn and Sinnoh's Victory Roads are technically open to anyone, provided they are able to find a way up the Waterfall. But you would have to fight either Wallace/Juan (who are difficult to reach because the entrance to Sootopolis is underwater) or Volkner (who is choosy about his opponents)
There’s also the cave system under the Crystal Pool in Kitakami’s Oni Mountain. I’d say it probably goes into “go with an expert”, since it can’t be climbed up from the inside and is full of one way drops the entire way down (one drop also sending you into a pool of water)
Surprised you didn’t add the cave in Vast Poni Canyon, or the cave in the postgame areas of Poni Island. Vast Poni Canyon literally has a giant totem Kommo-o drop down on you from above, and the other one houses Zygarde.
Kyogre was always in the Seafloor Cavern - Aqua knew the location but needed the submarine they stole in order to reach it. It should be ranked at a higher level of danger.
I feel like a tier of "requires minor prep" would be good for ones with darkness 'cause like.... you could (and if caving SHOULD) bring a flashlight??? that doesn't seem that outlandish in terms of prep?
Paldea has multiple tunnels and if Rock Tunnel counts, they should too. To say nothing of the little inlet caves you often find, the temporary caves the herba mystica scenes take place in, and the artificial replica caves in Blueberry (which are explicitly NOT the same as the planes they're named for)
The DP version is dormant, so I imagine that’s why. It’s only in Platinum where it becomes active again after agitating Heatran. He did show the Platinum version though lol
I think you could have accepted to have at least a little team that does well vs Zubats and Geodudes. Most people have at least somewhat of a team, sure not everyone is the child prophecy that we are.
Bro I can swim but I wont swim through a patch of water when i know there are Tentacruels in there. There is a reason they have the "cruel" in their name.
don't know the exact name but wouldn't the caverns beneath Glaseado Mt also count? probably would be off limits tho due to the cold, strong wild pokemon, and how easy it is to get lost

This is the kind of creative, nerdy, unnecessary video I go on the internet for! You got a sub
I appreciate it!
Three Isle Path is missing, it's literally the safest (and smallest) cave
Unfortunately Bulbapedia didn’t include it in their list of caves, but it would definitely be top tier 😅
@TerraQuake1 same for the Chamber of Emptiness in XY with literally no pokemon, no harmful stuff whatsoever etc

Nerdy Pokémon ecology videos are one of my favorite genres of all time, now we’re getting nerdy Pokemon geology???? Count me in!!!

I would add the Chamber of Emptiness to Kalos as well. Would say that one is 100% save since it's just a small room with 2 items and no pokemon

To be fair, I think Cerulean Cave is pretty obvious, considering you can't even enter it until you're champion lol
Hm, you valued temperature in the cold caves but not the hot ones??
“Mirage Cave has no Pokémon” he says as he encounters a Tynamo
I think you missed cave from gen 2 east of New Bark Town - the one with waterfall blocking your path before getting last badge. :)
This was fun! Thank you for making this video (: looking forward to more videos like this. Maybe snowy routes or forests next?

Oreburgh mine also has onix and geodude

Neat analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
I appreciate the support!
This is such a fun video idea haha - great vid
Did you know that caves only had front-facing entrances until gen 4. Let's go Pokemon cave facts lol
Thanks for the support! And that’s a pretty neat fact!

Yooo another ranking video also part 3 is here ;)
I think you forgot the cave at the bottom of Mt Ember in FR/LG.....it is horribly hot with lava
Ahh, i see you are a man of logic. The proper acreus pronunciation is music to my ears. I like the video
Wait, Stark Mountain got Maintain Caution? Whyyyy?

@@CaptainObliviousV ohhhh, okayy. Thanks CaptainOblivious

intemeenetersterestringing video, tesquik
What about the other dlc caves for gen 9? Like chargstone cavern and the coastal biome cave? Or the cave in the mountain in kitakami?
Why not do a quite video about the alternate locations and where you'd rank them? Good video by the way.

Rank Pokémon forests by their biodiversity
Every cave is dangerous if you have underleveled pokemon, no escape ropes, no potions or repels. 🌚
I'm subscribing before I've even see this
This is my type of goofy shit
Haha I really appreciate it!
Isn't Artisan cave in Pokémon Emerald?
