    the really sad part too, is that intel has a respectable showing when it comes to synthetic benchmarks, meaning the performance is there, but intel is just so vastly far behind in game ready driver support that any lead in raw processing power they have losses by leaps and bounds to AMD's superior experience with drivers that have been crafted over the last couple decades. It's going to take a while, but there is a lot of performance being left on the table in intel Arc GPUs/APUs intel just needs time to cook. they aren't fully baked yet.

    • @BarelyAverageDude
      @BarelyAverageDude  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah the RAW GPU power suggest it should be over 50% ahead of where it is in actual games.
      I want intel to get ahead, but they have to show me something first.

      @@fourtii8707 not if intel takes the initiative to do things that AMD and intel have been doing for years now. Partnering with game studios to help optimize games when running on their platform. Remember when games that advertised NVidia in their launch screens used to run like dogwater on comparable and better amd cards? Some of this is likely just that. The chip has the performance, it's just not being used properly in the rendering engines. And intel really needs to up their game on power efficiency as well, they are falling way behind on that front.

    the TDP on the intel is higher but actually lower...
    game 1: amd -20W intel - 16W
    game 2: amd - 35W intel - 30-32W
    game 3: amd - 43W intel - 33-40W
    game 4: amd - 51W intel - 32-38W
    game 5: amd - 44W intel - 44W intel
    so basically AMD "25W"' TDP is the same as intel "35W" TDP
    dose it fix the intel GPU problem ? no
    is AMD the better APU ? sure
    just saying be carful is u compare TDP alone

    • @BarelyAverageDude
      @BarelyAverageDude  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That has to do with how intel and amd report total system power differently.
      But the power specifically going to the processor is what you set the TDP to.
      Even still, there’s no reason the intel handheld at its max power (35w) should be as bad as it is.

      @@BarelyAverageDude the most important part is how fast the battery drained and that is the "BATT -XXW"

    Cool video! I was even thinking about getting the X1 mini AMD at one point. It's such a cool device. How does the gyro compare to the ROG Ally/Ally X?
    Just one thing about the TDP: The Phawx mentioned before that Intel measures the TDP differently, and when you look at the total power draw from the battery, you can see that the 25W AMD vs. 35W Intel both use around 45W of total power draw from the battery.
    So far the AMD it's clear king and the new generation looks really promising. Let's how the new intel compare against that.

    • @BarelyAverageDude
      @BarelyAverageDude  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The actual Gyro is pretty much the same , but it’s a better implementation on the Ally because you can set it for specific games. On the X1 mini you can set it and adjust it, but then you have to turn it on and off manually.

    Looks like Intel is getting lazy. I heard they're having issues with their 13th and 14th gen CPUs. I am glad I didn't upgrade from my 12th gen. I just upgraded my GPU from a 3090 to the 4090 card. I was thinking of getting a Mini PC hand held, but I can't decide which one to get with all the options we have out there. I like that Ayaneo slide, but the screen is locked at 60hz compared to the Asus ROG ally X 120hz. I am thinking of maybe getting it. But, a part of me thinks I should wait for the next hand helds coming with even more power.

      @Edgar-ob9vq Our analysis of returned processors confirms that the elevated operating voltage is stemming from a microcode algorithm resulting in incorrect voltage requests to the processor.
