    In this video I restored an old german oil pump. Unfortunately I couldn't find out which company made it and how old it is.
    If you are willing to support me leave a comment, subscribe and share my work, I really appreciate and it helps me a lot!
    I hope you will have some fun watching the video! If you have any further questions on the process, tools, material, nickel plating or else write a comment, I will try my best to answer your questions.
    I hope you liked the video! Thank you for watching and feel free to leave a comment and subscribe if you liked :)

    Nicely done, just had a crack at restoring my own oil gun, those springs are pretty fiddly, lots of fun and cracking result,if I say so myself. Watched this a bunch of times, thanks for the inspiration 👍👍

    That was great 👍 I really like your blue colour choice. The way you over came the missing piece that was lost was simple but brilliant. I'd still be looking for the thing 3 weeks later. Well done buddy

    Beautiful job! I remember when I was a kid, my dad had an oiler like that, we used it to oil my bike chain and gears. The blue is a really sweet color!

    It’s a beautiful job! I just think you can show a little more time in every process. Sometimes, it’s too quickly. When you’re sandblasting the base, for example, the video cuts like a second before we see everything done there. I’ve subscribed yesterday, glad to find that channel

    Really enjoyed watching the care and attention you paid to this restoration. House decal is a nice touch; however is it just the camera angle or is it slightly off-centre, appearing closer to the handle than the middle? It looks like the original paint was a metallic one. I like the gentian blue you used, but I think I would have personally used blue Hammerite paint to match the original. I like the metallic look on items like this, but it’s just personal preference.
    Keep it up (and don’t forget the chemistry Demos!)

    • @DrHutOfHandcraft
      @DrHutOfHandcraft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much for your comment!
      Yes it is really a little bit off center. The thing is that I tested the position without putting the gasket it, so with the gasket it turns slightly less 😄 Without the gasket it would be perfectly centered.
      You’re right, I didn’t do any experiments for quite some while. I will see what I can do in the future 🙂

    It does not need putty. Why did you put it on it? Because it does not have a single scratch

    • @DrHutOfHandcraft
      @DrHutOfHandcraft  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To make a smooth finish on the paintjob later. That’s a standard procedure. As you can see before I used the primer there were some spots were putty remained. These are the spots that needed putty 🙂
