- The Daily Vinyl video #29: "Backwards Down the Number Line" by Phish video. This was filmed in one take (as they usually are) and with very little set-up... or thought as to whether turntables can float. The mermaid was the closest thing I could find to a fish. I would've liked to have purchased some real ones for this video, but I really wanted to get this on TH-cam the same day of its release. (The LP release of Phish's 14th studio album "Joy" on 180 gram vinyl was Oct 6, 2009.)
If you dig this, please visit www.TheDailyVin... to view other videos, especially those with audio tracks not allowed on TH-cam. Also, for your convenience, I have provided links to purchase the featured music, (help support TheDailyVinyl). Did you know that "The Dude" wants to hear about YOUR music memories. Thank you so much. Best feeling in the world, the smell of awesome new vinyl. Phish, taboot taboot!
I've shared this song to all my friends, all my social networks, all my spy satellites, and I am going to film a nice video of my city Amsterdam with this song in the background only with the aim to try to get something with the woman of my dreams...she is going to be stone! thanks TheDailyVinyl to be so so so so so so natural awesome !
i own this cd i listen to this track everyday, the solo always gets me man so much happiness and awesomeness in 5 glorious mins. I LOVE PHISH
OMG! You hear that SOUND? That is so crisp! And I'm listening to a compressed youtube video, for Christ's sake.
Goddamn, I love vinyl.
I love this. The sound quality is great. Cool mermaid
good sound this!!!! I didn't know these records were still made!!!!
Allways the best!!!
I love TheDailyVinyl!
Brilliant! Thanks for posting this :D
awesome again..thanks!
nothing beats vinyl.
A+ This is awesome.
thanks for the awesome vid! more vids for the phans!
I've never heard of this. Interesting. I'll try in on my next virgin vinyl record.
I Love This Vid!!
Very cool!
great man!!
@vwaterrox Hoist was never released on vinyl. Joy was mass released on vinyl, cd, mp3. Lawn Boy was originally released on vinyl (1000 copies) from a label in NJ. Ghost and Farmhouse were released in somewhat limited numbers on vinyl. The White Tape and Party Time were recently released in limited numbers on vinyl. That's it (aside from 7"s, solo stuff, etc.).
if you could do divided sky (possibly a two part video) that would be fantastic. i realize it's a different album but it's a beautiful composition
this sounds as good as cd to me.
Nothin' like a little danger! (I actually unplug the turntable before I climb into the tub.)
This is such a cool project. I'm sure you are tired of people making requests, but some Radiohead would be dope
+nasheedmoiz I actually bought two Radiohead records for a TheDailyVinyl project. I took a nap. And woke up 6-1/2 years later. Where did the time go?? I did get a day job, so there's that. My "Kid A" is still in shrinkwrapping too!
this is my teacher fav song by them. :D
@vwaterrox Lots of Phish albums have been released on vinyl...Joy was released in multiple formats! : )
@TheDailyVinyl What about the title track Joy? personally l I love every song on the record...next choice ummmm ??????cant decide, the songs all so great and would make awesome vids
Wow, as I write this, my video is only 31 views away from 4,000! My most watched video to date. I want to film another song from this record. (I have the perfect location). Which song do you Phans vote for? (I'm personally leaning toward a Daily Vinyl edited version of "Time Turns Elastic" to get it under the 10 min requirement from TH-cam.) Thoughts?
Wait how did the record player float
yea, vinyl is pretty polular still
Notice this songs follows the only rule.
Don't try this at home kids!
It's sitting on a cooler.
you take forever to open that record...just rub it back and forth on your jeans really fast and the heat will open it.
ohhhh, then please don't say it... :-)
those wrappers are some freaking annoying aren't they
Potential for danger. Yikes!
looks like a phun way to get electrocuted! : )
what's next? To be electrocuted at home? Please, we want more videos, don't do it!
