This is what the old folks call talent . when people actually played instruments . Will always love the sound of a great band playing on a record,

My wife begged me to buy a Turntable.
I said I have a great Toshiba turntable, Sony Doby Tuner, and BIG Marantz speakers.
And a box of LPS vinyl.
Digital remastered LPS on Disc is NOT THE SAME!
Digital Remastered certainly doesn't have pops, and hisses, but the Classic Rock Albums have great body of sound.
Digital Remastered cuts ✂️ out plenty of THE BODY OF SOUND to remove the pops and hisses.
Digital takes away, never added to the original sounds.

You've got that right! I saw Carl Palmer's ELP Welcome Back My Friends show last night, and it was fantastic. At 73 years old, he is still an amazing drummer! I was in awe of his talent.

Trip down memory lane (my older sister had this LP)! Enjoyed listening with the volume up! My daughter just came into the room whining, "Are you listening to 'E-Lo' again?" I turned and said, "No, not E-L-O this time, but E-L-P." Her eyebrows went up..."What's with all these acronyms?" Me: "It stands for Emerson, Lake, and Palmer." Blank expression. Me: "The guys' last names!" Her: "You're giving me a headache and why can't your groups have real names like Coldplay?"

A buddy of mine while in high school, the 70s, ELP came to Fresno. During the "show" Carl Palmer threw his drumsticks into the audience, a common practice for drummers; I don't know about today, one stick landed near him, a gang of kids hit the floor trying to get it! 🥁

Cool video! And ELP picked up right where The Beatles left off - I never heard music more exciting than The Beatles, then ELP. Thanks for sharing this. I wore out multiple copies of my albums, but love the richer sound of vinyl. And the artwork - buying an album was an event, reading every word on it, looking at all the goodies that came with it. Cool you featured that in your video!

I played this song max volume while the audience was returning from intermission.( Perfect for Come and See the Show Right?) A 3 hr. My fathers favorite band. He passed away just several months ago, and hearing the scratching of the vinyl to this song makes me feel like a kid again. I was lucky enough to see ELP once with my father many years ago, and while this is a stretch from what I normally listen to, this video/song has literally brought me to knees with tears of joy and sadness like I can't believe. As corny as this sounds, I cant thank you enough for this.

Wow, Thanks for the Vid! Brings back childhood memories of walking home from school and the much older bro having ELP blasting out of the upstairs window. Remember the album cover used scare me as a child, and feeling sad at the end of the Tarkus story...lol ELP, perhaps one of those (very) under rated Progressive Rock Bands of all time, definitely of the early 70's. Maybe one of the best drummers and key board masters all in same (Trio) band. Very sad we lost two of them. RIP! May this music always find fans in all generations to come.

Awesome version of this great song by a severely under-appreciated group. If those aren't real vinyl sounds, I sit in amazement at their placement. I actually purchased an all-in-one turntable unit because I miss the character of the "wax platters" of my childhood (heck, childhood through college!).

Great selection !! I used to be a Club DJ in Buffalo NY, at one point working for Harvey Weinstein at his "Stage One" club in Clarence NY. I used to open my show with this song every night. .. One trick though, If my record had as many "pops" and scratches I would immediately have soaked the track with cleaning fluid on the turntable, old DJ trick :)

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends
We're so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside
There behind a glass stands a real blade of grass
Be careful as you pass, move along, move along
Come inside, the show's about to start
Guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you'll get your money's worth
Greatest show in Heaven, Hell or Earth
You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo
You've got to see the show, it's rock and roll, oh
Right before your eyes we pull laughter from the skies
And he laughs until he cries, then he dies, then he dies
Come inside, the show's about to start
Guaranteed to blow your head apart
You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo
You've got to see the show, it's rock and roll, oh
Soon the Gypsy Queen in a glaze of vaseline
Will perform on guillotine, what a scene, what a scene
Next upon the stand will you please extend a hand
To Alexander's Ragtime Band, Dixieland, Dixieland
Roll up, roll up, roll up
    See the show
Performing on a stool we've a sight to make you drool
Seven virgins and a mule, keep it cool, keep it cool
We would like it to be known the exhibits that were shown
Were exclusively our own, all our own, all our own
Come and see the show, come and see the show
    Come and see the show
    See the show

Steve North, guitarist from Alliance, Ohio, turned me onto this tune years ago. I was into Yes big time, and knew how to play 'From the Beginning' and 'Lucky Man' by ELP, shown to me by Marty, some kid in the Coast Guard in Mobile, AL, but had never listened to this band much. This did it for me. Had to get me some more ELP.

This might have came up somewhere before in the feed/thread here...

Thanks for a good vinyl upload... the only problem with vinyl is it's hard to share with friends around the world.

Cool---I used to hear this a lot on WRIF 101.1 in Detroit---knew it was ELP, but didn't know the actual name of the songs of which of their albums it was on! Always liked this because it's fun as heck to listen to/and is a great song to begin with--it would make a perfect movie theme--I'm surprised that no one's ever seemed to use it for a film!
