Amazing. Just found your channel. It’s tough and scary too. Sleep deprivation etc but scarily I STILL want to learn and in the future undertake huge trips too
Yes I'll agree with the majority of the other posts here. Quite a remarkable adventure you had and an amazing disposition of tenacity and calmness. Not the kind of sailing most people think that living on a boat would be like.
I loved singlehanded sailing - especially the three months I spent in the Southern Ocean and Tasman Sea with only a VHF radio for communication. I saw nor spoke to a soul - it was just me and the albatross. Saldana, S. Africa to Tonga south of Kerguelen and Tasmania.
Hugo, a modern day Moitessier, at least he had a 38 ft steel ketch to carry him around the globe. Love your adventures so far. You kept a very brave face for your camera on this passage, only someone who has been alone on an ocean in such conditions would know how frightening it can be to have the prospect of being rolled or pitchpoled at any moment. Looking forward to future passages. May Neptune keep you safe ! Fair winds and calm seas !
Neptune / Poseidon, they are the same, the only difference is that Poseidon is the Greek name, while Neptune is his Roman name. They are both god of the sea brother to Zeus and Hades (Jupiter and Pluto in Roman repectively) just sayin.

It makes the whole information more trustworthy and the video much more pleasant and interesting to watch. Very realistic and this is what someone who dreams about doing the same kind of journey (like me) really needs. Thank you and much appreciation!

Super effort of single handing as conditions worsened, to say nothing of putting together footage - spent a few decades racing yachts and you've got a rare video that shows conditions looking every bit of 5+ metre waves and the force of a breaking wave (or two).
