@@galactic-beastbo1109That's because these moves are heavily scripted according to how you play. You don't play by their rules your get rekt. You play by the boss rule set it can't even land a single hit on you. I say if you follow the script even 60% chances are you will get the boss no problems. In Dancer's case mostly though the script is not to get greedy. Only two or three hits and keep at her one side ( don't remember which one) and keep moving with her. She won't be able to land a single hit and you can get to her second phase. Second phase is almost similar but now she can chain combos and have AOE attacks. In case no one knows, the reason bosses feel easier the first time, is loading of assets. The game must load the moves the first time. Meaning it's move sets are slower, the second time they are loaded in cache, meaning no load time waiting. Also the longer you play a game, the exact opposite can happen, meaning the cache gets filled and takes longer to load new animations to the point that it doesn't even load some attack moves. IE Moon Presence from Bloodborne had the biggest problem with this.
Dancer is easily my most favourite boss out of all souls games. I used to hate her, but after many fights with different characters, and beating her on lvl 1 with no weapon upgrades I absolutely love her

The thing you did way too early is dodge roll, constantly, you’re not supposed to immediately mash the roll button as soon as see the boss move like some kinda tweaker, that’s why it’s called “timing” and not “omfg movement detected, mash, mash, mash” - it seems like you’re doing too many inputs as well, if you try to attack or roll too early during your previous animation then the game will either eat your input (ie. do nothing) or it’ll lock you into that movement even if you don’t wanna do it anymore (which you won’t, because how could you predict the future, you can’t, you were just panic mashing buttons). Try to be more reactive, read the enemies telegraphing their next move (they all do), position yourself behind or to the side of them (depends on the enemy) where they’ll whiff their attack so you can punish them (don’t get greedy), and then reset and do it again, and be deliberate with your inputs, time the roll, roll in a direction where you can not just avoid the attack but come out of the roll in a position to bait a whiff or strike (usually into the attack so you can get to the side/back of them and their combo won’t track). And keep the stamina bar in your peripheral at all times, you don’t want to be at zero stamina when a boss goes in for a grab, besides your attacks do way less damage if your stamina is too low. Hope this helps!
I really like it when youtubers notice the mechanics of a boss mid-fight (I'm referring to him realizing the sully-clone does the bosses own attacks before the boss does). Good eye!

U def not the first to fight dancer early not knowing youre supposed to fight her after the 3 lords of cinder
The video is 24 minutes long and has been out for 4 minutes and the comments are asking for more videos. If that ain't addiction, I don't know what is.
good stuff bro, pontiff is a pretty big wall and killing him without parrying him ain’t easy. also nice job killing dancer that early, you def weren’t supposed to do that yet but nice job
I am a twinblade/dancer swords user. Twinblade for things I have some trouble with, dancer swords for fashion. Twinblade is the best weapon.
Totally agree with that the first attempts are the best ones at a boss fight
These twinblades are called Winblades for a reason. My personal fave
Dancer is such a perfect boss! Everything about her is SO cool.
Oh hey, he found the win-blades. Easily the strongest weapon in the game
Had a blast with 3’s main game. Couldn’t pass the OP DLC bosses. 😢
I should try a spellcaster build in another future go. The one I did in Elden was SO fun!
Its quite a a different experience, the beginning is kinda hard but once it gets going really trivialize some bosses. You can destroy the dancer with a few soulspears and never even get within her range!
Those twinblades are called the "winblades" by the community lol. One of the best weapons in the game, and it's not a contest at all
Sellsoul Winblades. Basically easy-mode for the entire game. Especially if you start as merc. Bet it feels good though after getting crappy stomped 500+ times.
My first playthrough was with heavy armor, greatshield and Vordts great mace. Big bulky str tank.
NGL this series made me redownload DS3 lmao.
Well the Very Very Hard Mode version of it.
Still, nice to see that things are looking up.
Haha the good ol early dancer
Its so funny watching u miss the most obvious items and upgrades 🤣
The new weapon is the weapon that most consider to be the op weapon :D
Oh and awesome video again! Keep it up!
There is a hole in the ground at the big area where the big ballista is... Missed area.
That twinblade sellsword is actually OP, I feel like I was play on easy mode when I tried these blade
Alluring Skulls are your friends when it comes to the crabs
bro just got the most op weapon in the game. really love your progress
Can’t wait for Nameless and the Champ
if u wanna buff your weapom with lighting or fire or dark, use pine resin on or
if you go back to the catacombs, you kill that which skeleton from the first video that you chased around and when you kill it the rolling skeleton ball dies and you get a plus item for your flask. best of luck
Nice vid, tho you missed a ring in the lake, you should stand before a brick wall against the ballista and then the wall will break and behind is a ring after that you can deactivate the ballista, but you should explore the corners( I don't want to spoil much)
I came here from a Lies of P video so I thought I was tripping when I heard the Kraut Hotel theme playing faintly in the background.
The dancer is closer to end game than any other boss you could’ve chosen lol
Dancer is still one of my favorite bosses in the entire series, such an incredible design
If you're going to play Dex, you should get the Grass Crest Shield, it'll buff your stamina recovery.
The worm in Smoldering Lake is Solaire 😢
Twin blades op. Love this series man!
That fight against dancer went really well considering how underleveled you were for her.
Keep playing this game playa I’m on demon time for the notis 😂
Pontiff had a Mimic Tear 😂
Any weapon can carry you through but, the Twin Blades are IMO the best starter class weapon.
