  • The 2023 Range Rover has been highly anticipated, and we've finally got our first taste of the new-generation luxury SUV.
Why is this new seven-seater sparking so much interest? Well, this model series has a habit of moving the needle for all things on four wheels. After all, the late Queen Elizabeth II was a huge fan, so it has to.
Speaking of Her Majesty, the Autobiography P530 LWB variant on test here was Lizzie's preferred specification. Needless to say, expectations are high.
So, in this expert review, CarsGuide Senior Journalist Richard Berry lives his best life and spends a week with the new Range Rover P530 Autobiography LWB to see just how good it is. Spoiler alert: the partly related BMW X7 should be shaking in its tyres.

Thank you for an amazing review! I love the fact you explain how family friendly it is because most channels don't. They just spit out numbers and the average buyer have no idea what they truly mean. Range Rovers are truly amazing machines.

    Great review Richard.
    Stunning vehicle.
    BTW
The handling / steering and manoeuvrability is particularly good because Rear Wheel Steering in standard on ALL RR in Australia, whether it b SWB or LWB.
5 year Service Plan is included in the price.
The V8 is great, but I’d choose the D350, it has 700 nm and much better economy.

Such a great car even the older ones l322 forward are fantastic. Agree about the screen, this separate screen design looks like an afterthought, a Range Rover should be a bit better thought out

Omg! You're not serious. You stuck the kid's toy to the bonnet 😮😮.
Perhaps range rover should have added a door closing button in the rear. That door rear door is definetely too far away and heavy for comfort.
    Lovely review. Thanks!

Why even compare it to a DBX? May as well compare it to a Urus.

Very relevant comment by Richard, who has reviewed the DBX etc.
This new RR is an excellent vehicle, and in many ways, it makes things like a DBX look very overpriced.

Omg the average person would never buy this. After 3 years this car will have eye watering gremlins as all range rovers do and this is just a money pit. I have 3 friends who work on all range rover’s and they have more work than they can handle and said mate don’t touch this as when they are new there ok but when they get around 70,000 kms get your wallet out 😢😢

Big old dinosaur with a gas guzzling petrol engine - end of an era....petrol and diesel are dying fuels for private cars, the sooner this sort of thing is banned from the roads for private use the better. We seem to be slow learners.

    • @jonb4248
      @jonb4248 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Yes. Better with heavy electric vehicles that rely on fossil fuel power stations to charge them. Plus, the precious metals that are mined from the ground by slaves in Africa to make the batteries. (There’s not enough precious metals to make enough electric vehicles) Then, they have terrible range, especially in cold weather. The infrastructure isn’t there to charge them if we all had 1. They take hours to charge as against minutes to fill. We’d need 6 times more power stations and huge new cable networks. Great step forwards from petrol or diesel. They’d be zero reduction in CO2 (plant food), they’d cost a fortune, cost a fortune in new infrastructure and have terrible range. That’s real progress away from these convenient dinosaurs. We need more thinking like this in the world 👍
