Just getting into bass fishing. I see that you were at about 70 feet in depth. What size viper jig are you using? What sizes do you recommend in the local waters?

I was using a 150g viper jig. But inside the harbor probably no more than 40g.

I've never bled my sandbass and they taste great. I see you brain them (ikejime) but do you actually cut the gills and bleed? Is it better?

I brain them just for instant death, and I bleed so I try not to contaminate meet. Not sure if it actually taste better because of it.
