    I love mine. It makes the best juice out of all the juicers I have ever used. It also has a higher yeild of juice so it pays for itself.

      thank you for your comment. I was wondering if it was worth the time and the price.

    I agree with you. I've had the Angel 5500 for 3 years. It is easy to use, gives a higher yield and is very easy to clean. Today I juiced some mixed produce. I ended up with 20 ozs of pulp free juice and only 3.1 ozs. of super dry pulp. If you really want to extract every morsel out of your produce, you can throw the pulp in again. It will come out like sawdust. And I'm not getting paid to endorse this juicer either.

    In order to make a SS single auger here is the cost you have to pay:
    1. Raw SS 316 for 16 in in length and 2.5 in diameter is about 300 dollars . You can make two (2) augers with this dimension
    2. You need to do CNC I don't know the price , best guess is 300 dollar/unit . The CNC auger is based on your model drawn using Solid Works or Fusion 360
    3. You need to do heat treatment. REASON
    Heat treatment may be necessary during or after fabrication to remove the effects of cold forming or to dissolve precipitated chromium carbides resulting from thermal exposures.
    I don't know how much they will charge you for this, and after that you need to polish it to make it looks good. You talking about each auger will cost you 500 dollars at least. to save your money you either need invest the CNC machines LATHE and MILL, you need to rent the software Fusion 360 and know how to create and simulate your model.. Before you machine CNC this auger you may invest money and time to 3D printer that ensure your 3D Fusion 360 is spec within Design tolerance. (it must be tight )
    I ONLY GUESS what is the cost of making Auger SS 316 if you want to make yourself or have someone do it. They have to make benefit from their works.

    Hey nice video! Is the sealing necessary? The clamp of my juicer puts holes into the sealing when closing it.

    While the twin gear juicers have a less amount of pulp in the fiber bin with most greens, do you notice the condition of the juice? The juice is often like a milkshake where with a single horizontal auger the juice is thinner more like something you could easily drink. With the twin auger the high juice yield and less pulp in the fiber bin is misleading. While the twin auger gives a higher yield with less pulp ejected to the bin its juice is thick, hence the higher yield. There is less pulp in the fiber bin because that pulp is smashed by the twin gears and ends up in the juice as a mushy juice. The fiber has to go somewhere and if its not in the fiber bin its in the juice as mush. I would rather have a clearer juice and more fiber in the bin. Not a fan, I like the single auger.

      Walkertongdee I also have owned single auger juicers. You are correct that the angel produces a thicker juice. The single auger fibre leftovers are moist whilst the angel are very dry. Using a fine strainer shows no fibre on the angel but using a paper strainer does show a relatively small amount. Only the Norwalk has less fibre when tested with a paper filter, however significantly oxides the juice as seen using apples, the angel has the least oxidisation. The thickness of the juice is from the pressure exterted against the plup, the only difference is the single auger has less pressure against the sleves but the method is essentially the same, the angel is just better at it due to being made of steel and the multiple stages of extraction.
      I dont see much wrong with a extremely low amount of pulp (less than half a teaspoon), after 5 years using it, the juice is smoother, tastes a lot lot richer. There is the issue of yeild vs. wastage. The quailty of the juice to extract the difficult nutrients in the cell wall itself, only the angel breaks down the cell wall properly which contain the pigments/vital phytonutrients which is why the angel juicer is darker and thicker, its not the fibre, its the material within the cell wall which is why norwalk used pressure.
      Ultimately if you really didnt want a miniscule amount of fibre you could paper filter the angel but theres no point. I make no money and still havent seen anything that comes close the angel juicer.

      Dont get me wrong, all good LOL. I just prefer a single auger. I do not want to buy a 1,500. dollar juicer if its not what I want. What I really want I cant get. I want a single auger stainless juicer and there are lots of people who want this. I appreciate your points here and I have never owned a dual auger but have seen them and the juice you may be right, all good. Actually I like my Omega NC 800 just fine. Like the channel name damn wish I thought of that!

      @allthingsgood7976  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Walkertongdee Sure, I support whatever choice and preference you like. There are ceramic single auger juicers. The mechanics of whatever slow juicer you buy is to crush/chop and press against a sieve from the omega, angel to the norwalk. I've own the Omega. It's a very good juicer, the angel is in another league though but it's also very expensive. Thank you so much for you kind words about my channel, I hope it makes a difference in helping others. It's been a few years since I produced a video though.

    What is your opinion on the difference between juicing and blending fruits and vegetables.

    • @SurvivalnPreps
      @SurvivalnPreps 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +buddy West Blending adds fiber which is good for most people. Juicing especially cold press extraction has more of a "medicinal" and hyper nutrition effect. It's important that one eats enough fiber. Blending can oxide and breakdown a component of the nutrition but it's negligible for most purposes.
      My thoughts are both are good, pointing to advantages/disadvantages depends on circumstances... an ill person may benefit more from juicing outside of meals. Whilst blending is fine for the average person. Both tend to increase GI impact on the body.
      Both are good.

    Can you please give me some advice on getting the mineral stains off the Angel? I have lots of mineral stains on the twin gears and on the housing. The instructions say not to submerge the housing in water.

    • @allthingsgood7976
      @allthingsgood7976  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +dennis guerrerio Do not submerge the motor. However the extractor gears and the front chute/mesh housing can be submerged absolutely. It's stainless steel, it gets wet from juice. You need to wash this regularly with a bottle brush and a tooth brush. First clean it then soak it with detergent in very warm water, then scrub it clean with a tooth brush, you'll be there for a while. Good luck but it can be done.

    • @nafees1khan
      @nafees1khan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can soak the twin gears, gear housing and the splash guard plate in a bucket of hot water with a few table spoons of baking soda over night. Next day scrub and rinse most of the stuff will come off easily.

    The Angel Juicer juices extremely slowly, unsuitable for quantities over 3 liter juice. 3nd generation vertikal juicers produce the same juice quality and juice much faster.

    • @tedallison6112
      @tedallison6112 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Health & " faster" combined as you stated is an oxymoron.

    • @dopamin_express
      @dopamin_express 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tedallison6112 Not really. Vertical Juicers juice at only 42 revolutions per minute (Angel Juicer 82 per minute), but require only half as much time to juice as horizontal juicers.
