    I have a Super Angel, two OLD Norwalks, and a PURE two Stage cold press juicer. I’ve juiced on my Norwalk constantly for almost 40 years and it is my gold standard for juicing. HOWEVER, the Super Angel is far superior for juicing greens. I use my cold press two stage juicers for carrot. beets, ginger, green apple etc. and Super Angel for ALL greens, even greens from tops of carrots. The two types of juicers are a great compliment to one another!

      Great advice. I'm new to juicing I ordered the Super Angel Premium Deluxe (surgical stainless steel model) and was wondering if perhaps I should have went for the Norwalk or Pure Juicer. I greatly appreciated your comment. Do you recommend the Pure Juicer over the Norwalk? I ask because it seems the Pure Juicer is a bit more refined with better materials... using stainless steel is important to me over some of the aluminum parts the Norwalk uses. I also have the Breville Juice Fountain Cold XL BRE830. It was quick and efficient on firm fruits and veggies, but that's it. Everything else it's a wast. I use it for items such as carrots, apples, cucumbers... I still needed another juicer for my leafy greens... hence the Super Angel.

      athletejmv , I like both my Norwalk and PURE because the juice is pulp free and last longer. A HUGE step up from a Breville as far as juice quality but not as fast. There are some issues with the Norwalk as it has groves, nooks and seams that juice can leak down into should your pressing tray accidentally overflow. Also it takes some getting used to so you don’t get “blowback” when feeding produce through. That can be a frustrating mess on your ceiling. I don’t personally have that problem but only because I’ve mastered how to use it from time. The PURE however, makes the same high quality juice without all the issues the Norwalk has and I’ve had AWESOME customer service with them which wasn’t always the case with Norwalk . I’d probably go with the PURE the technology of it is more refined and user friendly as long as you don’t need a light movable juicer. It’s a HEAFTY BEAST. Actually a gorgeous all stainless work of art that’s so fun to use. Oh, and the PURE also has a bigger more solid press chamber than the Norwalk so you’ll get every last drop of juice out of your pulp! I hope that helps
      Happy juicing!

      @@Ocean-kayak how many minutes can one use each day the angel juicer to be under warranty? Most juicers for domestic use cover only 30 minutes of daily usage , if you exceed that and the juicer breaks, they will not fix or replace the juicer if it breaks down, stops working. They can check your usage since the juicer have a counter installed in it. how clever.

    • @Ocean-kayak
      @Ocean-kayak ปีที่แล้ว

      @@decathlete2000 I have no idea but with the Angel juicer don’t think you’d use it more than 30 minutes a day. It doesn’t take that long to make juice. Even if you make a lot.

    I currently own 3 juicers, the Norwalk, Super Angel and the Omega 8006 juicers.
    The Norwalk is the most efficient of the three, followed by the Angel and the Omega.
    The Omega is the easiest to clean, under 1 minute.
    The Norwalk makes a completely pulp free juice, where with the Angel you do get some pulp.
    A good tip is to try and buy the juicers used if you can find them, the Norwalk list price is $2,400 I got mine for $1,500 used, the Super Angel juicer list price is $1,200 I bought mine used for $600, the Omega list price is $350, I got mine used for $90.
    Craigslist can really be your friend with getting a used juicer.
    Enjoy.

      I would like to get a Norwalk one day to try out. I have heard good things but never seen one in person. Also hoping they are easy to clean.

      @SloanZurnToto 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Top 5 Fit The Norwalk juicer is also very easy to clean, about 5 minutes in total.
      I generally use the Norwalk juicer when I'm making 10-15 pints of carrot-apple juice which I put into pint canning jars and use a Foodsaver to vacuum seal them and then freeze all but 2 which go into the fridge. Then take them out of the freezer as needed.

      Actually I have Norwalk 280 and I paid $2600 and tax. Also, I have Greenstar Professional, bought it 3 weeks ago at Bedbathandbeyond with 20% off. Used to own vertical juicers but I did not like it. The Angel juicers are upgraded from greenstar seems like.... Consider selling the Norwalk...

      I have a line on a super angel used for under 700. But, I’m afraid of taking a chance if somethIng is wrong, there is no warranty.. I’m debating whether to spend around four or five hundred more and have a warranty for ten years, five on parts.
      How is the cleaning on the angel? I’ve seen cons listed that it takes a long time to clean up. But I’m wondering if it’s someone wh is used to a fast juice on a centrifugal and the obvious quick rinse that comes with it. I’d take a trade off for the yield and quotation of juice, I would think.

      @@jeffbatt8757 I have the Breville BJE 830-Juice Fountain Cold XL. It's great for hard veggies and fruits like carrots, apples, cucumber, broccoli stocks, etc. It's very efficient with these. It's also extremely quick and easy to use and cleanup. However, it does not handle anything soft/juicy or leafy greens well. I have the Super Angel (surgical steel version for $1650) on the way to my home now as an alternative juicer for more expensive veggies/fruits that naturally provide lower yields... but at the cost of unit expense, time, and cleaning (hence while I'll be using two different juicers). I bought new for peace of mind and it's one of those items you typically just buy once and run it until it dies... and just replace the parts as needed... it was cheaper than purchasing the Norwalk new for $2600, but I may get one in the future if I have some extra cash on hand. I like having options. I'm actually leaning towards the PureJuicer over the Norwalk... better design and materials (purejuicer.com/product/pure-juicer/)

    No way the Angel is going to take that lemon you cut unless you swap to the soft-fruit housing filter. That's the annoying part, it extracts more juice but the cleanup is messy and the swapping of filters also messy

    BUYER BEWARE - POTENTIAL GEAR SHAFT MESHING PROBLEM.
    We just bought the super angel deluxe from the supplier in CA two weeks ago.
    We have noticed that the gear shafts are scratched at the end where they meet the motor unit housing. It appears to me that they are not meshing together correctly and they are chafing against one another causing the scratches on both gears. The supplier said that this scratching is normal (really?) and that the gears cannot touch one another. They said if it gets worse that will have the gears machined. I DON'T THINK SO! Not after shelling out $1,600 for this unit. So why would they offer to get them machined if they cannot touch one another? And where are the metal filings going .... In our juice? If anyone has noticed scratches in the motor end of the two gear shafts, I'd appreciate any comments. Wish I could post a picture here.

    Yeah, just learned that Super Angel sued John Kohler (from Growing Your Greens) for reviewing this brand. Gotta say, I was extremely put off by that fact. As a premium juicer, the Super Angel (self-proclaimed : "the Rolls-Royce of the Juicers!") should be THANKFUL someone like John Kohler was willing to educate your customers & help them make a more informed decision.
    Sorry, but the fact that Super Angel sued him tells me : 1) They're aware of flaws within their juicer, 2) They're not keen on transparency & 3) If they were willing to sue John Kohler for reviewing this piece of garbage, chances are if there's a warranty issue....they'll tell you to GFY! Why? Because the average consumer is NOT a social media influencer. And if they're willing to shut down a media influencer who's simply reviewing their product, can you imagine how shitty they'll treat an everyday, average consumer?
    Red flag, red flag.....RED FLAG!!!!!!!!!!!! Super Angel Juicer? LMAO. I don't think so!

      They sued him because he ordered and paid angel juicer $3000 then they went under and a new company took over angel juicer but still didn’t sen John the $3000 stock that he paid for so he put some videos up stating about what happened and they didn’t like it and sued so he doesn’t recommend them because if that I have been juicing 12/13 years and have used so many juicers and now I have an angel juicer which I wasn’t sure as I love johns videos but I love it the best juicer I have ever used is my super angel and like I said I have used lots over the years there are very very good ones thou you can get cheap i juice lots of leafy greens so this works a treat

    You shouldn’t peel stuff before juicing it as the skin has lots of nutrients in it.

    • @Top5Fit
      @Top5Fit  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The skin does have a ton of nutrients. Due to the amount of juicing we do in a given week we sometimes remove skin to take it easy on the juicer and reduce some prep time by not washing the fruit and vegetables as much. The rind on the citrus fruit has benefits as well but can drastically alter the taste of the juice. Sometimes I can't handle that kind of potency. Happy juicing!! Thanks for the feedback!!

    You can juice lemons and limes without removing the skin.

    • @Top5Fit
      @Top5Fit  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Doug. Thanks for watching. That's true, most of the time I do lemons with the skin but limes are kinda bitter if you leave the peel on so I normally remove it. What are some juice recipes that you like to make?

    • @SloanZurnToto
      @SloanZurnToto 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Top 5 Fit I usually make a whole bunch of carrot apple juice and freeze it in canning jars using the FoodSaver and suck out all the air so they last.
      I make carrot, apple, spinach, celery, cucumber juice. Beets are really good too. Also adding some ginger, or turmeric is very healthy.
