@@roc2coffee I sold my 2019 K1600GT for a new DCT Bagger and I couldn't agree more! The DCT gearbox is just sublime, and such a more totally relaxed ride than on the K16 (although the GW sure can move when in sports mode!)
@@TheMissendenFlyer i love the DCT! The instrumentation is great and as you know it is so smooth and comfortable! I also owned a 2015 F6B, which was a comfortable bike...rode it to both coasts here in the USA. Id have no problem putting 800 mikes a day on this bike. I have about 1k mikes on it and ride with a big grin on my face. I’ve told my brothers they are welcome to call me “Grandpa!” I also have a 2017 T120 Bonny and a 1973 BMW R75. There will be many envious people watching this and wondering what this man has done to deserve to own so many nice motorcycles. Well kids, it all started a long time ago. The Missenden Flyer is a pilot, a job that requires you to have a science or engineering degree just to be considered for training, and it is quite rightly a well paid job. If you aspire to one day own a garage full of nice motorcycles the first thing you have to do is work hard at school, then keep working hard. It really is that simple. Do not confuse simple with easy.
@@TheMissendenFlyer You had me fooled, I thought that you were a pro. I have flown gliders enough to do a few solo flights, and messed around with light aircraft. O never quite managed to get the balance of earning and free time right to get a PPL, but I live in hope.
What a condescending comment. If this was true everyone who worked hard at school and beyond would have a big house and a garage full of bikes. Hard work pays off to a point, but there are so many other factors in play.

You are hard working, clever and thrifty....and you've found a way to overcome the cash issue. Good for you! I hope you and Mrs. Flyer have many, many great tours on it! You still have the other bikes to answer the call of twisties and switchbacks....and they certainly will call to you.
As a potential GW owner - I'm testing one next month - I'm all over this. I find my K1600 disconcertingly top heavy. Yours & the 44Teeth videos are suggesting the GW is much less so.
Congratulations, you’ve bought an amazing motorcycle. It runs like nothing else out there! I own a 2019 tour model and have put 28,000 miles on it in less than two years. On the negative side, I find it an expensive bike to maintain. Also, installing accessories can be very complicated. My only initial advice is to check the fluid level in the differential. Many bikes in the states were shipped with only about half of the required oil in it. It is a simple fix, easily done in your garage. Good luck with your new ride.
I bought a 2013 F6B Deluxe new, and by now it has all the mods I’ll ever really want to do on it (full Traxxion, heated gear, luggage rack, Muth mirrors, LED headlights). I find myself wanting a smaller, lighter naked bike for warmer weather riding and day rides but I’ve got an amazing tourer that is well-upgraded and fully paid for, I’m probably good for another 5 years on that bike.
I can’t believe you “old man”, you actually did “it”. You do realize You now own ALL the great bikes of our age. A proper 🎩 tip is in order. Ah crap, I’m now late for work. Don’t suppose you could send me a note, to my boss? Well done Andy...👍🏼 😎 🇺🇸 🌎
Happy for you both. You and your wife obviously loved that bike and bonded with it on your Wales Trip. Good on Honda UK and Good on Mr and Mrs Flyer and their new Honda Goldwing
Congratulations TMF! Always nice to have a new toy and what a beaut! As always keep the good stuff coming..... I was surprised you would get rid of the street triple, especially when the speed twin and royal Enfield are so similar. Still it’s a nice problem to have. Perhaps some kind of motorcycle racking system for the garage..... I’m sure you could get loads more in with a mezzanine floor. Ha
WOW, that is awesome Andy! That is my dream bike (money no problem of course). So happy for you and Mrs Flyer. Hopefully we will all be allowed out again soon, to enjoy our bikes and the UK’s 🇬🇧 great roads and countryside. Keep up the cracking work.

Congrats TMF. The ultimate touring machine! Shame if you have to get shot of another bike but I guess the Goldwing's a big old beast & needs it's space. If the Street Triple does have to be sold, I'm sure it'll go to a good home for a decent price.
reading between the lines of some of the comments its like its a cardinal sin to leave a gs for a goldwing . i hate to break it to all yee gs fanatics the goldwing is and always will be the best motorcycle on the road .maybe the flyer will start a new trend and lads will see the light or does anyone have ewan mcgregors number i might ring him and tell him to buy a wing an all the sheep will follow
You made the right decision. I bought a blue 2018 tour a couple years ago to flip. After riding it a few time I fell in love with it. I have five files and the Goldwing will be the one the have to pry out of my cold dead hands. It does so many things well. Love how it holds a line through a curve. Enjoy your purchase. I enjoy your videos.
Great to see the big Honda in the collection. I love the channel , watch as much as I can. Always good information. I don't ride in the cold rain much any more. Vancouver BC is one of the last places without snow and salted road at this point in the year in Canada. Hiding out in the garage fixing the bike. cheers.
Congratulation buddy, welcome to the Wingnut Collective, and for what it's worth, you can get 13 bikes in a Marley Garage, (ask me how i know), so no more blather about selling them, there's always more room for one more, even if it is a Whalewing.! , you just gotta wriggle them in mate.!
Well that is true Del mate - it's the wiggling the one out at the back every time you want a quick ride that I' not so keen on - especially when they weight a third of a ton! Mind you that "reverse" does help....
@@TheMissendenFlyer ha ha, long live reverse..! i must say, they are challengingly heavy to shift about the garage, like ballroom dancing with Blenheim Palace...(mine's a bit older than yours of course, so more like dancing with Alexandra Palace (just after the fire !)

You're riding your ride and enjoying it and that's what counts and I salute you for it. Wish you many happy 1000s of miles on your new stead. Glad you're keeping the GS too though!
Good choice, we've owned 5 of them. 83 GL1100 Interstate, 88 GL1500 , 96 GL 1500SE, 98 Valkyrie Tourer, 2012 GL1800 (trike converted in 2016 ). Both 1500's were equipped with side cars eventually . At present we still have the trike. Mind you we had other bikes in the garage, but now only one ( is it age 70 ?). Keep up the good work ! Oh and the Mrs also drove the two sidecar rigs and also the trike at present.
Congratulations!!! You really enjoyed the Goldwing last summer so of course buying it was the right decision. To not worry about what other people think is the right attitude. Enjoy!
As many good words as you had for that very bike... I am not surprised that you bought it. I have to admit that I envy the position your career has afforded you, and I can see only a smidge of the effort you've put forth. I'm sure the videos are only scratching the surface. At one time, I was very interested in getting some time on a 2008-ish Goldwing. Never happened. Maybe a good thing. I sold my old BMW RT a while back. Perhaps when I catch up with the rest of the world around me, I might seek one out. But then... maybe I'll end up with a Africa Twin. They appeal to my eyes. Ride safe! Have fun! Looking forward to more videos.
Congratulations on the new bike! You and the Ms TMF will enjoy the bike. Looking forward to see if you can get to the mainland next summer! If you every come to Canada on the west coast let me know. Safe travels!
What a machine. I’ve always had a soft spot for the wings. Grew up riding pillion on the back of my dads’s 1200 wing until I was old enough to ride myself. My uncle had the 1500 at the same time. Enjoy and ride safe!
Great choice! I bought my 2018 Wing last year with 4000 miles on the clock. Absolutely love it. Super ride town and country. TPMS is temperature sensitive, cold days will have it blinking a bit unless you add air.
Great news about the Goldwing, still in love with my 2005 GL1800. My brother had several bikes, he had a very understanding wife so he used to keep a couple in the living room!

Well done mate. Beautiful powerful bike, super smooth engine & the best color scheme as well. Great PR for Honda UK - you are (besides BSB) their best brand ambassador. Love your channel..!!!
Well done you! I'm also of an age where I don't give a toss about image - so bought a TMAX 530DX last year (helped by your past reviews!) and absolutely love it. Kept my SV650 as the "fun bike" but actually never use it as the Yam does everything and is just as much fun. Reaction from my biker buddies has been positive - after initial scoffing about it being "just a scooter" - once they have a go on it they're hooked! Congratulations on the Gold Wing - I'd absolutely love one but will need a bigger garage and better job first!!
Andy, not at all surprised that you bought the Gold Wing. It was obvious from your Wales trip that you and Mrs Flyer loved it. I have never ridden one, and only have room in my Vancouver house for three bikes. My 1250 GSA is my fave, and I also have a 1975 R90S. I am thinking of getting a Speed Twin in the Spring. Good choice, and be safe with the spread of COVID in the UK. I hope to get to Norway in the summer, and perhaps the NC 500 next year. Cheers, Mate.
If these people with negative comments would give this bike a ride they would have nothing but great things to say about it. Mine has taken me all over the country five times over and with confidence everyday of riding. I can't say any it any better than you. It is the ultimate touring motorcycle. Happy for you!!

Apologies Bradley!
That’s a beautiful machine, The ultimate touring bike for sure.
Unless you count the K1600 GTL...
44Teeth waxing lyrical about it you know it's a good bike... Fook the haters bud. Looking forward to some touring vids now. 👍
Ha
I am sure this bike is so comfortable to ride on the road. Who cares what the other people say.
The Wing never appealed to me, but comfort and luxury is becoming very attractive and I get it now. Enjoy it👍
With age comes wisdom..
@@TheMissendenFlyer Or, in my case, at least arthritis... :-)
Told you there would be a gold wing in the stable before the end of the year just not this soon
You rumbled me....
WOW, that is awesome Andy! That is my dream bike (money no problem of course).
So happy for you and Mrs Flyer.
Hopefully we will all be allowed out again soon, to enjoy our bikes and the UK’s 🇬🇧 great roads and countryside.
Keep up the cracking work.
very happy for you
congratulations
I have ridden that bike with the DCT and i love it
I can't wait to see more from you while touring with it
happy you got the same one and got a good deal
well done
If your going to sell anything id go for the treadmill. Never seen a video of it running yet!!
Keep them all. Get rid of her indoors and keep the bikes in the house. Cheaper too!!
Well done, Andy! Proper Christmas gift for yourself. “TMF: All Goldwing, All The Time”👍
Yes it made an otherwise forgettable Christmas a little better - I even got to ride it once before lockdown!
I'm not surprised at all. It's not my dream bike, but I would not mind owning one.
Great news I could tell you really liked it on your Welch trip. You have got the best tourer in a lovely colour. A friend of mine has had several over the years and always said how good they are. Hope you really enjoy some touring with the Mrs this year. Many thanks for your great vlogs.
Thank you John!
Congratulations, Andy! It's a beau-T-ful blue motorcycle! I'd love to have one someday soon, too. Have a 2018 candy (med) red one at a nearby dealer. Love to add it to my growing stable. Cheers!
Congrats, you’ve reached the pinnacle, no need to lust for any other bike now.
Theres always a new bike to lust over 😂

Just did a psychic reading for you and I foresee a garage extension in your future.
But did you hear, they had to cancel this year‘s psychic convention due to unforeseen circumstances 🤣
Nah you just park the other bikes in the 'Wings panniers.
@@pippipster6767 👍🤣
Fair swap for a CRF 250 I would say.
I knew that bike had got under your skin! That is going to be a much loved bike by you and Mrs Flyer and all of us that enjoy your videos, congratulations.
In the U.S. we would call this the Cadillac of motorcycles.
People say they didn't see the Gold Wing coming....they should get their eyes tested before being allowed out! Lovely machine, enjoy!
Thank you Jack!
I have only recently found your channel, obviously subscribed, and watched countless hours of reviews and excursions. Keep up the good work,
When it comes to motorcycles: If you like it; buy it.
Sheesh imagine how much it would cost If you slipped off that on ice.
And my airline has laid me off so could help polish and make coffee.
Great to see the big Honda in the collection. I love the channel , watch as much as I can. Always good information. I don't ride in the cold rain much any more. Vancouver BC is one of the last places without snow and salted road at this point in the year in Canada. Hiding out in the garage fixing the bike. cheers.
Congratulations on your new bike, I am sure that it for the purpose intended will pay off in terms of common joy for you both. Ride safe 👌
That's the plan!
@@Moonfleet41 Yes, that is the one downside of them...other than that, the perfect touring machine!
Mrs Flyer had nothing to do with this did she.
... and that’s the reason dear that there’s no money left for you to have shoes and handbags 🤣
😂😂😂😂
Well done !! You only live once ... if it puts a smile on your face and helps you create wonderful moments in the time to come then go for it !
Screw what other people think, as long as it makes you happy, i'm all for it!
All paths eventually lead to Goldwing.
What’s gonna happen when Mrs Flyer passes her test ? 😂
Second garage?
She’s a beautiful lady Andy can’t you do a garage extension so you can get more bike 🤪🤪😜
Watched your Welsh trip, not surprised you brought one, love the gold wing.
Congrats Sir! New bike for the stables is always a cause for celebration. Ive never ridden a gold wing but wouldn't rule it out... looks like by boney backside would appreciate it. You're riding your ride and enjoying it and that's what counts and I salute you for it. Wish you many happy 1000s of miles on your new stead. Glad you're keeping the GS too though!
Let's say you could do your norway trip again, would you take the Honda or the BMW?
Good question - not sure, if it were just me probably take the GS, two up defo the ‘Wing...
@@TheMissendenFlyer understandable, enjoy your new bike!
I think a lot of people talk smack about the Goldwing simply because they can't afford one. It's a bit of sour grapes if you ask me.
Congratulations on your Goldwing. Looking forward to your long term review. Hope you have many happy miles on it.
Congratulations! The new Goldwing is an excellent motorcycle, I am looking forward to watching the many great adventures you will have with it.
Brilliant Kev!
Not surprised you bought the Goldwing Andy, it’s one heck of a bike! Look forward to seeing your trips on it! All the best!
Great choice, obviously - and love your high-vibe speech and energy shared.
Wow, with all these comments you may not make down this far. Great news on the goldwing. I was so excited to see the first review, and then your tour with the misses. Enjoy your new bike, I’ll be looking forward to many more goldwing rides “with you”. ‘19 DCT Tour Black
ABSOLUTLY Good for you mate........i've always loved the wing.....how ever i would never get part my GSA for a wing....can't wait for all your ramblings on it .
Really happy for you, when you love motorcycles you can share the joy of watching someone get their dream bike . Hope you and mrs flyer have many safe and happy miles on the moohsive honda .
