I totally think this could be for me!!! I am loving my VA journey with The Virtual Savvy, and I've started being an OBM for some of my clients, without knowing that was what I was doing!!
I've been working as a VA for a year, but well really as an OBM/VA - basically doing all the things both strategically and creative. Now I want to narrow down my business to more of an OBM type business, but to me all those parts sounds like A LOT to manage at the same time. My thought has been to niche down as an OBM with focus on marketing and content strategies for creative entrepreneurs and helping them with operations around that - both by teaching it in online courses and one on one. What are your thoughts about that? 🙂
Jacqueline, do let me know how to start on this VA/OBM areas. I am good at maths/metrics/creativity/website designing/Facebook and Google ads Advertising/Sales Funnel developing and many more...
@@ArmstrongHidam Abbey has a lot of content both here on her channel and on her site how to get going as a VA 😊 I'm not really teaching this so check out her stuff 👌
Do I need to start as a VA to become a OBM. My fulltime job is Operations Supervisor. I don't think I need to but I am thinking that the experience as one is a bonus
Can you be both an OBM and a VA? I set out to be a VA but my first and current client im more of a OBM. I enjoy it but would like to offer both services.
Hi Kristin! I have an Operations firm where I offer OBM services, but I also have a few VAs who can do VA work for clients. It's nice to be able to offer both services so the client essentially has their whole business covered in one place. It's nice for me as the business owner because I can have a retainer for access to the firm and VAs, but can delegate the work that isn't in my sweet spot :)
HI @marlenebowman4704, could you tell me which link in particular that you're looking for? Alternatively, check the description of this video for links to resources mentioned in the video. Thanks!

That's amazing Rebecca!! Keep rocking it!!
I built a whole VA business to find out it is an OBM business just now 😂. I love systems and people managing!
That's amazing!!!
I love this! I just started a VA business but I'm mainly an administrative person. OBM is certainly for me. Thank you for this video
That's awesome!!
How you became VA , I mean where you applied?
I'm working as an OBM now but on hourly rate. I would prefer to do a monthly retainer. How do you structure that as an OBM?
I started as a VA and quickly transferred to being an OBM! Such a better fit for me :)
That's awesome!!
How you started
Great information would love to attend OBM training
I LOVE scheduling how can I make this must or all of my business. I don't want to set myself up for failure. Any thoughts? Could this be an OBM trait?
Yes! Appointment setting is a great service to provide as a virtual assistant or OBM!
Great video!!!
I needed this!
So glad you enjoyed it!!

That's the awesome part about it! It's totally up to YOU! You get to decide what is the best fit for you!
Nicole that's essentially how I started too! I was an Operations Supervisor for a very short time and then moved into Ops Mgr for several years.
