It sounds really like something very special. Oh ...low cal Habit Rouge! I love that perfume! Sounds like a perfect unisex perfume for the Planet of the Perfumistias!
I just received a bottle of this as a gift and I haven't opened it yet. I am not a fan of Orientals, should be interesting. I'm a green-floral girl all the way.... Great, fun review! Thanks Katie!!
OMG! katie your beautiful, you know its funny cause the majority of the comments on this video is going to be on how gorgeous you look. I pity this fragrance because of how its overshadowed by your own fashioned scent, a smell of purple florals with a creamy vanilla rum undertone. Habit rouge is a great, was a gift. Great job katie good to see you back.
@Katie Puckrik Smells So great to discover you again after first seeing you as The Word's lovely resident punky nymph. (Plus I think I remember you with possibly Tony Slattery on the Observation round for The Krypton Factor? That one's less certain - I was very small.) A request : please review the 007 aftershave. I'm a massive James Bond fan but torn on this issue, as smelling like James Bond AND a cheap piece of merchandise are diametrically opposed concepts to me. After watching your Pizza Hut fragrance review last year, I've learned not to prejudge. Your verdict will be valued!
Hi Katie. Great review as always. Have you considered doing reviews on the Maison Martin Margiela Replica line or the foresty green Untitled amd Untitled L'eau?
I like dry perfumes but this one when it was given to me I thought it was too masculine and just plain not me. I liked it but not for me. I forgot I had it on and after a while I smelled it again and LOVED it. If u don't like this one right away give it chance you might be surprised!
I agree with you. The first couple of times I tried it, I didn't understand the charm. Then one day after I forgot I'd put it on, I kept catching whiffs of myself, thinking, "What is this one again? It smells good!" Marni kinda sneaks up on you.
You know I have been sitting on the fence for 3 months as to whether I should buy this perfume. I like orientals... and faded ones to boot! So I think I will take the leap of faith. I want the subtle... have to work a bit to know what it's olfactorily all about. Not a massive fan of grapefruit though that's the only bit that worries me. Thanks for posting. Love the vids.
Y'know, I say "grapefruit", but that's my interpretation of the bitter citrus accord that's technically created by the bergamot and ginger. So if you key in on the ginger when you smell it, you'll create a different version of the story for yourself. Anyway, that part disappears quickly and the dry woody incense and faint rose is what lasts.
Purchaysed! With a 10% off in Debenhams Valentines fragrance special.... Any excuse to give my sweet-smellin' self some lovin' ;-) ps have you ever tried any of Amanda Lacey's perfumes? - I LOVE!! Aria di Collina is my favourite. A woody chypre perfume developed by Robertet but I also have the Erbe di Marzolline too - very unusual! Bisous
wow what a coincidence, I just bought this about a week ago! I find its one of the longest lasting perfumes ive ever tried actually (and my perfume collection is quite extensive). all I need is 2 or 3 sprays and im good for the whole day!
That is valuable feedback, Lisa - thanks for chiming in. Perfume is always a case of "users' results may vary", and it's worth being reminded of that. I have to admit that one Marni has settled in, as light as it is, I do smell it for a good while.
hi Katie.. i really want your review on this-- i have had xeryus rouge givency for the last bottle i used.. and i had really good compliments and i liked it to.. i was thinking of buying another when i also checked this Fuel for life with diesel men. .. now iam realy hung between the two and i dont want to use two.. could you pls help me on one which would be great with women.. i really appreciate your review...abhi
Bruno Acampora Musc is still in high rotation, but musk-wise, I've been cheating on him with Micallef Royal Muska. Royal Muska is more "pretty/girly", but still insinuating.
Thanks for sharing that! Bought Marni 10 years ago and probably wasn’t mature enough for it, even though I desperately wanted to love it. Fast fwd a decade and I’m wearing it daily. Just spritzing it on before going to, oh I don’t know-the grocery store, anywhere! Now that I know I can’t get it in the US any longer, I’ll cut that out and save it for when I’m actually going somewhere decent 😅
I keep sniffing this one at the perfume counter. I know it has patchouli in it, but It think it's time to ask for a sample. It's just too unique not to give a whirl.
I now have and so far so good. Reminds me a lot of Liz Earle's Eau de Parfum No 15 (which interestingly also doesn't have much longevity) - dries down to a subtle whisp. A woody oriental... Thanks for tipping me over the edge. I'll shut up now.
Katie can you review "Paris Hilton for Men"? I want to know your thoughts on this cologne, its a mixture of melon, mango, cucumber, & spice. Hope you see this. Xoxo
Ah, me and anything with patchouli will be friends. I will be looking for this one. You look mah-velous!! Do you feel okay about ordering fragrance/cosmetics from Amazon, etc.? I've heard about people getting fake products and I'm nervous.... xojenny
Jenny, Amazon guarantees everything sold on the site, so you're covered there. I can vouch for the authenticity of all the advertisers on my blog, so check out those guys, too.
I remember watching your videos 10 years ago and accidentally remembered you and searched your name and found out you are still there and just same face and youth ,time had no effect on you😁
Any suggestion about a fun, sexy and sweet perfume for a 18 years old girl's daily wear?and any tips for ensuring your perfume not too strong or soft when u spray it? Btw,love ur channel.xoxo
My top rec in that area is Narciso Rodriguez for Her edt. You might consider Prada Candy and Shalimar Initial l'Eau. My fave application technique is to spritz at the nape of the neck and on the chest. On the chest stays a little muffled under clothes, and on the nape of the neck allows the perfume to be beautifully warmed and diffused into the air by your hair.
Katie Puckrik Smells thx for ur suggestion.i have bought NR edt and i really love it. it smells sweet, sensual and warm in a dusty way. it's very long lasting too. i adore how the scent of honey, musk and orange blossom come out from my skin:)the scent is just so unique
Hmm.. this is a brain-twister, as I went on a blind buy with Habit Rouge but felt completely underwhelmed and it felt so dated.. but seeing as Marni is a new(er) perfume, maybe my Habiit Rouge has gone bad?
There's no doubt that Habit Rouge is a fragrance of its era, and that can read as dated. It's billed as a masculine, but chock full of orange blossom and carnation and rose - very dandified. The florals relax into leather after a bit, which butches it up. Marni doesn't have HR's orange blossom sweetness, but there's something about the faded oriental that led me to connect the two. For sure Marni is a contemporary take on a vintage style, so it may suit you better.
Katie Puckrik Smells I stumbled upon Rouge Hermés today & felt that it had some of the classic greatness you "defend" and that I missed from Habit Rouge, that darker cinnamon & rose, that (almost sensual) sense of a more mature french woman (I know its a perfume geared towards men, but to me it has a femine aspect) from that same bygone era. So when I came home I had to revist Habit Rouge and I have to say, I might have been off just a little.. it still feels matured & still of an era as you say, and maybe its just all these juices talking, but there is some love there... I tried out several other Hermés scents and several gave me that feeling of a more innocent va-va-voom time in (Parisienne) life, ie Bel Ami Vetiver, which I like, dry, slight sweetness & dapper gentleman-feel, Equipage, Hiris etc.. (not sure what that line is called).. anyhoot, have a nice weekend :)
Your video went like this: "Marni by Marni... (oooh does Katie Puckrik have a new camera? new haircut? lipstick! Blouse!) ... frosted glass polka dots". It goes to show how easily distracted I can be... :)
ROFL. Only YOU could work in Planet of the Apes in a "come hither" way for a perfume. I find myself almost convinced that you and a secret pack of friends sit around and make bets on how you can work certain things into your reviews. If that happens to be true, I want in on it. My first dare would be: Lutefisk. My only objection would be to you taking the easy route and using it in reference to ambergris. That'd be too easy.
Beautifully described and expressed.
It sounds really like something very special. Oh ...low cal Habit Rouge! I love that perfume! Sounds like a perfect unisex perfume for the Planet of the Perfumistias!
That bottle looks awesome. I love when packaging is just as interesting as the scent inside. Looks like a spinning top.
It does! I haven't tried spinning it yet.
I just received a bottle of this as a gift and I haven't opened it yet. I am not a fan of Orientals, should be interesting. I'm a green-floral girl all the way.... Great, fun review! Thanks Katie!!
Congrats on your 200th video. Hope we see 200 more.
OMG I want Marni back
I've been waiting for you to review this scent - great review. Also, your hair looks great - love the haircut.
Haha - thanks for noticing - just got it cut!
yeah Katie is back
Like your reviews and miss them. Hope there are some new ones on their way!
Hilarious and devine! You seriously brightened up my otherwise rather dull and unpromising morning. Thanks for that, Katie! Greetings from Germany xxx

Hehe cool review! I might review this one. I love your polite way of saying.. "this stuff is WEAK" :)
Hi Katie. What body lotion do you use? Could you suggest a great lotion that doesn't compete with perfume?
Great review :). Definitely want to give it a sniff now. Sounds really good.
@Katie Puckrik Smells

Love this one! Lasts a very long time!

Your blouse reminds me of an iris flower! I love it.
I'm excited about my "new" old blouse. It's a vintage number from Berlin in the 60's.

I love seeing you back. Are you still loving the Bruno as your fave perfume?
Bruno Acampora Musc is still in high rotation, but musk-wise, I've been cheating on him with Micallef Royal Muska. Royal Muska is more "pretty/girly", but still insinuating.
Katie Puckrik Smells katie, i would love to hear some of your thoughts on micallef fragrances - have a couple myself and would love to hear more :)
Oh how I've missed your reviews!! Been dying to smell this, not sure if it's just the UK but I haven't seen it anywhere!
They don't sell this perfume in the States and longer.

What is your favorite rose scent Katie P?
Thank you Katie. Must go and try this. Could you review 'Insolence'?

Excellent review, I'm looking forward to how it may shift with my own chemistry~interesting enough to sample for certain. Thanks=)
Any words on Jacques Fath?
YT keep on unsubing from your channel. It's crazy.
Have you done Eccentric Molecule fragrance?
Whenever I smell this, I can't help but think that it's similar to Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady... Am I dreaming? It smells similar to me!
Do you have any Katy Perry fragrance reviews?
Katie can you please review the classic Acqua Di Gio by Georgio Armani
Could you share your thoughts on the new Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana?

Too much talking about the bottle not enough about the perfume in the beginning.
She talks about the bottle design for less than 50 seconds...
