Ajahn Brahmali is one of the best teachers of Buddhism to my mind, making complex, difficult, obscure text interesting and accessible. His speech on "Going Against the Stream" was truly life changing.

As a ordinary lay person I understand the Buddha teaching by listening again and again the explanation of Buddha Sang-a so Have fate in Buddha Sang-a Can Ajahn recommend which sutra for the begginer because there are thousands

It is said that Arhats when they walk their feet do not not touch the ground. They say I am a Arhat free from greed

"Wisdom cannot be imparted. Wisdom that a wise man attempts to impart always sounds like foolishness to someone else...knowledge can be communicated, but not Wisdom. One can find it, one can live it, do wonders through it, but one cannot communicate and teach it."
    ~Herman Hesse, Siddartha

And did Buddha not say (paraphrasing) "take from me what you will and then journey forward,
      Into your own mind"?
